When Destiny, a determined young woman with a radiant spirit in a wheelchair arrives at Blake University, she believes her path will be a quiet survival, not love. Everything changes when she crosses paths with Archer. Archer is a man who hides his grief and struggle beneath his calm interior. One encounter in the school cafeteria turns into a love that transforms them both. It teaches Destiny that her life was never meant to be lonely, and it shows Archer what it means to be truly seen. Blake University is a heartfelt, fast paced Instalove college romance novella!
This is how you do INSTALOVE. I loved every bit of this book. So many emotions swirling, unanswered questions, family secrets, found family ... it was just *chefs kiss*
Two students at Blake University begin the school year lonely, dealing with trauma and sadness, but hopeful for the future. All it took was one incident near the vending machine, to change it all.
Destiny was doted on by her parents and had all the love a daughter could ask for, but what she wanted was friends; real friends who could see her beyond the chair. She was determined to make it in school on her own, but it would be nice to have a friend to bond with.
Archer, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but is struggling with his identity due to secrets his family is keeping. He knows what they are hiding but wants confirmation. None of the things nor the money that his father gives him, makes him feel like he belongs in his family. Those feelings make his aloof, angry, and cold to others, until her.
When Archer encounters Destiny he is angered that others allowed her to be in that situation without helping her. Once he comes into her space and they have a quick chat, he realizes that she is not like any other woman he has ever met. She doesn't care about how fine Archer is, she sees his pain and befriends him on the spot.
Archer sees Destiny beyond her disability. He sees her strength, determination, and beauty. She is kind but doesn't take any ish from him. 😂 I loved the way Archer protected and took care of Destiny. Good read. 👍🏿👍🏿
The disability representation in this book was done well. The MMC was such a gentle giant and the way he cared for the FMC was beautiful, he saw her - for her. This book offers hope for true love.
Ms. Masterpiece, every time I have the pleasure to read one of your books, I get fully invested in it. Archer and Destiny's story is not an exception. This book may have been out of your norm or comfort zone, but it is still a masterpiece. My heart was in my hand more for Archer than Destiny. Although Destiny had a physical and visible disability Archer has suffered more than her. The way his "parents" had treated him throughout his life has to be considered child abuse. He was stolen from his biological mother and treated like the red headed step child by his so-called family. The part that was the most disheartening was how his father allowed everything to happen. Archer needed Destiny in his life as much as she needed him. Destiny's life wasn't a walk in the park either, but the difference is that her parents cared for her. They may have been overbearing, but her father made sure she had an electric wheelchair while her mother took care of other needs. Her father also became a father figure to Archer. Destiny and Archer lived two totally different childhoods. Destiny was loved, and Archer was not. They were meant to be together because opposites attracted. I do love the "uno reverse" Archer pulled on his father. Archer got the last laugh, and I was here for it.
Ladies and gents, this was an engaging read, I mean, the type that tugs at everyone of your heartstrings. If Ms. Masterpiece would write more on this couple. I would be one of the firsts to download to it. Therefore, I highly recommend this book. Grab your copy today.
This book was SOOOOOOOOO EFFING CUTE!!! Archer & Destiny’s immediate connection, I can’t EVENNNNNN 🥰🥰🥰🥰🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾! I’m so soft I even shed a tear at one point. I enjoyed this book so much!
This was so good and different from what I normally read from Masterpiece and it did not disappoint. Loved Archer and Destiny brought Hopefully there will more I could have kept on reading.
They brought the best out of each other and they both found the special love they wanted and deserved. They have their own little peace of heaven.
This book was so good! I really loved that it was different and represented plus sized women and people with disabilities that have love and intimacy in their lives. The two main characters definitely had chemistry and you can easily develop a soft spot for both of them.
Two very recluse people. For different reasons, life has dealt them some bad blows. Accepting that this was their fates, they just go through motions day to day. Do they have dreams and aspirations? One does, to walk again. The other, satisfied with how he gets money, because he wants for nothing. Fate or destiny made one encounter bring these two souls together. Neither knew what to look forward to with their new friendship. One needed to know he could really love and receive it in return. A love that could heal those buried pains. The other, gets to experience real love other than a parent’s love. An unconditional love that doesn’t see you as an impaired person, but just who she needs. A love that helps restore trust. Healing for both, mentally, finding their One, changed their lives for the better. Great read!!
to the world archer had everything any boy could want, money, status n all the women chasing him. but behind closed doors he’s lonely & going thru things no1 could imagine bcos of his family. and destiny was the outcast wherever she went & had troubles fitting in bcos she was in a wheelchair. but she didn’t let tht stop her from facing the world. she made her first friend at uni & he changed her world for the better.
there was so much intimacy in this book, not just physical but emotionally too. archer & destiny were jus so perfect for each other. they understood & learned each other. they became the safe space they needed for each other. just so many cute moments in this book tht jus had me smiling n giggling to myself. they were both so gentle with each other and gave each other a place to be vulnerable openly & love easily. absolutely loved it💗
Another great story, read, characters & contribution to the Blake University HBCU Chronicles platform 😮💨😍‼️ Nevertheless, I appreciated “Blake University HBCU Chronicles: Archer & Destiny” (4.50 ⭐️’s) story of non traditional students, rapid romance & even their love journey at Blake Univ. Though personal obstacles had a relevancy, relatable voice & were still adequately represented on campus with a book dedicated to their matriculation of positive affirmations, principles & purpose. This couple deserves an up date on their progress & career aspirations in the near future 😊‼️
I absolutely loved this book! It was cute, spicy, deep, and sweet. I know this is fiction but it still shined light on the fact that anyone can be loved, especially by those least expected. Destiny and Archer didn’t seem like the type to ever cross paths, but they both fell hard for each other and challenged each other. Only thing that threw me off a lil bit was the huge tip LMAO. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
Also, the people I wanna fight: • Archer Sr. • Karen • Latosha the hot pocket
This standalone is lit. I hated that my boy had to go through that with his step mom and father taking him from his mom. I'm glad my boy saw my girl and they became one. Them boys that were laughing and recording her falling and didn't help my boy should have beat their butt. I'm glad he stood up for what was right about him. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read.
Destiny and Asher story was a beautiful heartwarming short and spicy story! Destiny had her struggles with depression and trying to fit in society with her disability. Well Asher was a black sheep of the family wanting love from his family and a secret he wanted to know about. But when Destiny and Asher unexpectedly cross paths at Blake U. It was a instant connection, I’m glad both of them were able to find love and finally Asher was able to get the answers and peace he needed! This was a great read🔥
Masterpiece what a great job. Yes, this was different for you but in my opinion it was a good twist from your regular. Destiny was such a strong woman even though she was sheltered she learned how to be free and free she was. Archer was my guy. He just needed love that wasn't fake. I love how they found each other and became one. Destiny had a family that opened their hearts and arms for Archer. Dreams come true when it's time. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
This was such a cute story about Destiny & Archer! Although this was out of your comfort zone Masterpiece you def brought their story together. Archer went from bachelor to lover with a lust at first sight when he walked up on a “helpless “ Destiny; which whom was always used to being catered to my her parents.
Who said women in a wheelchair can’t get out through a mattress repeatedly 😮💨😂 cause baby Archer made sure Destiny felt seen, loved, and pleased!!
The first of the Blake University Chronicles was such a good read. Destiny and Archer, an unlikely pairing, had all the feels of instalove. It was fast paced but the timing was just perfect. It was a well constructed storyline. Cute too. I loved seeing Archer walls break down. Destiny was just the spice he needed. I can't wait to read the next story.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️🌶️ This story was so amazing! I loved how the MMC Archer did not play about the FMC Destiny and he was a good person! The FMC showed courage and felt safe to be vulnerable and even provided a safe space for the MMC Archer to be vulnerable as well. I love when the unlikely girl gets the fine popular guy. Idk what trope that is but I’m always here for it! I would of course recommend this story! 💖
I love me some Insta-Love stories because you get to vicariously live through others as you believe it can happen!!!… I love how lovingly Archer spoke to Destiny’s parents about his intentions and how protective Destiny was after Archer came from his father’s house!!!… Archer handled Destiny with such care and made sure she was comfortable!!!…Nothing like a considerate, loving man!!!…
Destiny starting college and moving away from her parents was a huge accomplishment for her. She tackled it head on. One mishap allowed her to meet the hottest guy on campus. Archer was arrogant to most, but not Destiny. They hit it off and become inseparable. They were good for one another. They helped heal different things within each other. Their love was organic and something that Archer needed. This was an outstanding read!
The way Archer loved and catered to Destiny had me smiling ear to ear. He saw her past her disability. He carried a mean boy aura but really just wanted to be loved. Destiny saw him for who he was. They really brought out the best in each other.
This was really good. This was such a touching, beautiful novella. I loved the disability and plus-size representation. Oh, and the spice was spicing too. Archer and Destiny were really too cute 🥰.
I absolutely fell in love with Archer. The way he looked past Destiny’s disability and loved her for who she was—wow, just amazing. This story was different in the best way. I went in expecting a simple love story about a young girl with a disability, but what I got was so much more. Great job, Madterpiece!
A Plus-Size Disabled Black Girl Falling in Love? YES PLEASE.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very cute 🥰 Quick read! I really enjoyed this story — Destiny and Archer were such a vibe. Soft moments, real emotions, and just enough depth to keep me locked in. Loved seeing a plus-size, disabled Black girl fall in love on her own terms 💙
I loved this book. It showed how a lot of people in the world see people with physical disabilities as less than. Then you have the people that see them as the people they are, not just the disability. I love how Archer and Destiny were there for each other and were willing to learn from one another. Their love was beautiful.
This was a good emotional read. Something different. People come from all walks of like doesn’t mean you don’t deserve some good and happiness. I love this book cause it’s real life happening in this book not perfect people but two people perfect for each other. Great job. I love how Archer loved her and how quickly he fell for Destiney.
I absolutely adored their story! The way they healed and supported each other was nothing short of magical. Archie’s incredible patience for Destiny, something no one else displayed, truly showed how she captured his heart in such a short time. Definitely a 5-star read!
If you needed something short and quick pace this was the one right here...Awww...this gave me butterflies...they were to cute together. I like how they completed one another. Archer never sewing Destiny and her chair as a burden had me in happy tears he loved her regardless. This was a beautiful relationship to see blossom.
Archer was out here just sleeping with whomever at Blake U, but one chance meeting with Destiny changed his whole world! She became his peace and safe place and he became her strength! His father and Karen were horrible people, but in the end he found his real family. Great read!
