Is it possible to love someone when you don’t remember them?

Felix loves his life as a bar owner and cider brewer, but lately he’s been feeling a different kind of love for his best friend Autumn. Unfortunately, one bad car accident wipes Autumn’s mind clean of her past, including all of her memories and feelings for him.

Autumn is finding it difficult to navigate the blank slate that her life has become. Frustrated with her lack of memories, Autumn agrees to Felix’s scheme to make new ones together, finding that the more time she spends with the man she’d forgotten, the more she wonders if the feelings she’s developing for him have been there all along.

As new memories and old feelings resurface, will Felix and Autumn finally get the happily ever after they were working toward, or is everything they had or could be lost for good?

Can love survive amnesia?

Felix owns a bar where he also sells hard apple ciders made with apples from the family's orchard. He had found that while crabapples from the orchard weren't good for eating, they were excellent for ciders. He has a small mill at the orchard where he works with the cider. His parents had helped him make a down payment on a bar in town, which he named Branch and Brew. In Applewood, most residents call it a brewery despite knowing the fermentation is done at the orchard.

He'd started making cider as a teenager to relieve the boredom and loneliness. His oldest brother, Aiden, had already moved away. Beckett was in training to be a fireman. Travis almost always kept to himself. While Nate immersed himself in extracurricular school activities. That left no one at home for him to interact with at home. Making cider was something he really enjoyed, and he could sell it at farmers markets. It soon became a real money maker for him.

He remembers his earlier childhood, when he and his brothers actually played together, as being ideal. He's never yearned to travel or live elsewhere other than in Applewood. In fact, he shares a small apartment above the barn with his best friend, Autumn.

Autumn moved to town when she was in fifth grade, and they shared most of the same classes. She had struggled with science classes, classes he excelled in. They really bonded and became best friends in their freshman year. They were paired up as lab partners as freshmen, a godsend for her. As they worked together, they bonded over shared interests in music, snacks, and their love of Applewood.

Felix had never wanted to leave to go to college. Luckily he's been successful without a college degree. He'd waved goodbye to Autumn. He was there to welcome her back when she decided college wasn't for her.

Over the past year, his feelings about Autumn have changed—he's falling in love with her. He knows she loves him, but is it a romantic love, or is it the love of a best friend? Before this year, one of them had been dating someone else. Since they've started spending more time together, they hug and snuggle more often and for longer time periods. He doesn't want to jinx their relationship by bringing up the "L" word.

Autumn is very artistic and has her own pottery business. Some days everything goes well, but some days the clay doesn't want to be thrown and manipulated into the vision she has for it. Today is one of those days! Maybe it's because of her thoughts about Felix. She's always loved him as a friend since they were freshmen. But now she's afraid she's in love with him, and she doesn't know what to do. What if he loves her but isn't in love with her? She can't bear the thought of losing her friendship with him!

Then she's in a horrible accident and has amnesia. She can remember her name and a few minor odds and ends of her life before the accident. She doesn't remember the tools she used every day in her shop. She doesn't remember Felix, although at times he does seem a little bit familiar, and she's comfortable with him being near, so maybe they were best friends. If so, why did he leave when things got a bit uncomfortable after he mentioned that it was strange that she now likes not only hot sauce but a very hot hot sauce? If she's changed that much, what are the odds they'll still remain friends, let alone something more?

Everyone hoping that she'll get her memories back soon doesn't solve anything. What if she never does? Would it be possible for her to fall in love with him again? And could he learn to love the new her?

This book was a sweet quick read. The premise was really interesting: Can love overcome everything, even memory loss? Can you trust your feelings and intuition after that kind of traumatic event? The story begins with two lifetime friends Autumn and Felix developing deeper feelings for one another. Their lives are torn after an accident that leaves Autumn with no memory of her previous life. Felix was a sweetheart and so lovable, his determination not to give up on Autumn and his adoration for her really shone through his actions. I loved his unique ideas and his tenderness. And I could relate with Autumn, with her doubts and fears. It was my first book from this series, but I surely want to read Felix's brothers stories too.

I loved this third installment in the Applewood series! Felix and Autumn are a believable couple with a path to romance that feels both common and unique. Felix is amazingly supportive, even when facing his own fears. Autumn is incredibly brave in the face of daunting obstacles. Their growth together is beautiful to see. And while there isn't a "magic" ending, what they do have is better, stronger, and full of hope. Highly recommended (but read the earlier books first)!!.

Autumn gets amnesia from a terrible car crash and Felix is left devastated that she doesn't know him. She feels safe with him and goes home to rebuild her life. They each fall back in love but don't tell each other. It is difficult to trust that their love will withstand this trauma. They finally get their HEA. I recommend this book to all romance readers.

Well written romance that reminds us love isn’t just about shared history—it’s about choosing each other, even when the past is a blank slate. The characters were vulnerable in their desire to remain connected and their fear of losing one another by disclosing how they feel...

I thoroughly enjoyed this third story in the "Applewood" series. This is a sweet and cute small town romance about Felix, Autumn and finding new memories. Felix and Autumn are best friends, who may mean more to each other than they realize. When an accident takes Autumn's memories who takes up the challenge. Sparks fly between these two. This is a fun read with best friends finding more.

This book is quieter and more internal than the first two in the series. Cider maker/bar proprietor Felix and sculptor Autumn have been best friends forever, and just when they try to be more, she has a car accident and loses all her memories. Most of the book is about their getting to know each other again, (for Autumn) falling in love for the first time and (for Felix) falling in love again with someone you've known your whole life but who has changed in many ways, big and small. I feel Autumn's losing memories might have been a blessing in disguise for their romantic relationship; they seemed quite timid with each other at the outset when they agreed to start dating, with all the baggage of the long friendship, but once that was stripped away, they were able to relate to each other with the full passionate intensity of their attraction. There was a small crisis about her moving back with her parents, but luckily it wasn't a big deal. An enjoyable, low-angst, hot and spicy small-town romance, with friends-to-lovers and amnesia tropes.

I received a free ARC from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
