Suffering years of mental abuse at the hands of her boyfriend, Airal is haunted by a sense of worthlessness and depression. She flees in a desperate bid to start a new life, and takes a chance by answering an ad in an old paper for a room to share. The last thing she expected was to meet not one, but two very sexy men.
As meld partners, Eagle shifter Ben and Lion shifter Steve have been searching for their one. The moment they meet Arial, they know she is theirs and the one to help them complete their meld into a Gryphon.
Under Ben and Steve’s care, they bring Arial out of her darkness, showing her a world of love and magic. When Arial’s ex tries to steal her from them. Feathers and Fur join together to claim back what belongs to the mighty Gryphon.
I am a full time mother and part time writer. I live in a small country town in Victoria Australia. I have been writing ever since I learned to read, and almost endlessly drifting off into the fantasy world of my imagination.
Thankfully, I have a great group of supporting writer friends; a husband and three; currently small children who help keep me grounded.

I've read several books by this author and while she's not the absolute best I've read, her books are generally quite entertaining. Sadly, this isn't one of her better ones.
For a start, it needs a LOT of editing. I can overlook a few mistakes here and there but this book was littered with them. Words misspelled. Words missed out. Confusion over your/you're. Completely the wrong words used in places. Bizarre use of apostrophes and commas. Places where it wasn't clear which character was doing/saying something. Most jarring of all was the constant switching between past and present tense.
Also, it was all a bit cringeworthy in places. Ok, so Arial was struggling after being mistreated. I get that but the character could have been written better to avoid making her look quite so pathetic. Where was the personality under all her issues? She didn't so much take back control of her life as hand it over to someone else. Again. It made it too difficult to like her. Ben and Steve were not well developed characters either. It was all a bit too shallow.
The interactions between the three of them were over-the-top gushy, nauseating, and patronising. It just felt false and I actually felt quite embarrassed on their behalf.
Overall, the concept of the book was interesting and it could have been a much better book with a bit more effort. I really wanted to like it more but I just couldn't.
Cannot wait for book two. This story flies along, as you get to know the characters, who are warm and well drawn. The men are alphas but realistic with quirks and personalities. I enjoyed the idea of melded lions and eagles. Not sure how the graphing personality plays out but the idea is intriguing. Seriously cannot wait to get book two. Yeah Christmas break.
It's hard to get through due to the amount of mistakes. It seems like it didn't even get a proof reading. Abandoned parenthesis, out of place commas, wrong words used (serous instead of serious), etc. For a rough draft, not bad, but it is not of a quality to be worth spending your money.
There is a great deal of potential with this premise and this author, but the book falls short in several respects. There is not a strong sense of world building or a good sense of the inherent magic behind the gryphon bond conveyed, with the mythology a garbled transmission in the form if more of a fairy tale rather than a myth in the last fifth of the book. All of the protagonists were engaging characters and it was a pleasure to see a heroine who partnered with two men who not only wished to protect her from her abusive ex, but actively supported her through the therapy she needed to combat years of mental abuse. That said, her recovery was rather telescoped, but in paranormal romance some suspension of disbelief was bound to occur!
Much harder to forgive, or even understand, was the continual grammatical, spelling and typographical errors which took me out of the story every few pages. This wasn't just a matter of poor editing, but of a weak grasp of English and foundational concepts of fiction writing. Ms. Castle takes away from her writing strengths by not taking the time for better proof reading, and as she has an original concept and talent, I'd encourage her to invest in a good editor for her next work.
And I will be buying the next book in this series, with the hope that some of the above issues will be addressed so I can sit back and enjoy the many qualities I did enjoy in this novel!
Loved this book. This is a great beginning to a new series. Our BBW is Arial Alexander and her soon to be ex-boyfriend has been mentally and emotionally abusing her for 5 years. Finally she manages to get the courage to flee. She sees an old paper in the trash at the bus station, she needs a place to live where her ex won't find her and a share with 2 room mates will not leave a paper trail.Surprise! The people looking for a 3rd room mate are male! The insight into the life of a mentally and emotionally abused person is amazing. Steve Alzera and Ben McCallun - new room mates , Gryphon melds and future husbands. The Melds are sort of a new to the genre of shifters. Two shifters, aka: lion and eagle can meld together to become one gryphon. Judging from comments made in this book, there will be other melds, I'm thinking maybe chimera for one. Angela Castle has given us a base creation story which I am sure will be expanded on. The Melds ALL need their 3rd in order to remain stable and not go insane. Family life is explained also. Love this book and this author. You can not go wrong with one of her books. HEA of course. I have been very remiss in writing reviews - I shall endeavor to persevere in improving my reviews! I love that phrase " I Shall endeavor to persevere". Happy Reading!!
I really really enjoyed this book. I loved the storyline and the characters. It was interesting and different to the 'normal' shifter stories. My only thing I would have liked different was that it wasn't too much too soon, I think their relationship developed too quickly, I would have liked them to take more time. A bit rushed. But I did really enjoy it and I'm really looking forward to Mark & Tom's book!
wow x I think this is the best Angela Castle has written and that is saying something x I loved it x I read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. I agree everyone has their own opinion but this is a damn good book and personally a can't wait for number 2! bbw paranormal romance at its best !! brilliant!
I really enjoyed it! I have read a couple of books by this author and have loved them. This was no exception. This was a great story. I loved that the guys took their time to make their woman comfortable.
