Nothing But Trouble: A Kiwi Romance

Rate this book
Everybody loves Logan. Except Anna.

Anna La Rue’s parents have her life mapped out for make good use of her accounting degree, marry a respectable career professional and have a couple of well-behaved kids, all while doing charity work.
She can’t think of anything worse.
Log truck driver, Logan Sackler, is the town ‘good-time’s’ guy. He’s also the most self-indulgent boy-man Anna has ever met. He’s attractive in that young at heart, surfer-god looking way and has a drool inducing body to boot. But as soon as he speaks, he’s the man-brand of insect repellent. Ick.
Anna’s been feeling as if something in her life is missing. When she finally learns what has been bugging her, she buries her grief and impulsively runs away.
***
It's a shame Anna is such a square. With a body like hers, Logan could have a lot of fun. More fun than the drunken teasing he already gives her, that is.
From the outside looking in, Logan is confident, arrogant, and in control. Spoiler alert, it's all a front. With a drinking habit that is bordering fully blown alcoholism, it’s only a matter of time before this truck leaves the road for good.
Logan’s got plans and ambitions but lacks the ‘know how’ and when he’s slapped with cuffs and sent to the cells, his business, and future are on the line.
With the judge’s final decision, Logan is left floundering. A chance meeting with an emotional Anna sends the pair on an unlikely journey of adventure and discovery.
Set in the small South Wairarapa town of Carterton, New Zealand, where the wine is fine and the locals gossip relentlessly, Nothing But Trouble, is a romantic story about a couple’s undeniable attraction that leads to a chance at love and having every dream realised.
