Obsession is a sin.
But desire? Desire is wicked.

He saved her once.
Then he disappeared—like smoke in the night.
Years ago, Kayden pulled Dani from the edge of ruin. He was a mystery with ocean-blue eyes and blood on his hands… a protector who vanished before she could ever say thank you. She spent years trying to forget him. But you never forget the man who made you feel safe in a world that tried to shatter you.
Now he’s back.
Watching. Waiting. Claiming.
Kayden has kept his distance, terrified that his darkness would destroy her light. But the truth is darker still—he’s never stopped watching her. Never stopped wanting her.
Because Dani was never truly free. She was only hidden.
Only his.
When her past resurfaces, vicious and unforgiving, Kayden steps out of the shadows. This time, he’s not letting her go. Not without a fight.
She can run from the danger.
She can even run from the truth.
But she can’t run from him.

Wicked Desires is a dark, obsessive romance with a morally gray hero, high-stakes tension, and the kind of twisted devotion that doesn’t end with “I love you”—it ends with you’re mine. Perfect for fans of stalker romances, possessive MMCs, and stories where the line between love and obsession burns up into smoke.

This is book 3 in the Desires Trilogy. You must first read books 1 and 2 prior to Wicked Desires.

Ashley McKnight

Ashley McKnight is a dark romance author who thrives on writing deliciously dark love stories with morally grey men you’ll go crazy for. A proud Wisconsin native, she survives the harsh winters cozied up with a blanket, her dog, and a book collection that could double as a small library. When she’s not crafting stories that leave readers questioning their morals, you can find her binge-watching The Office, plotting her next bookish obsession, or bribing her characters to behave (spoiler: they never do).

Looking for a love story that’s a little bit sinful and a whole lot addictive? Ashley’s got you covered.

ARC read

Check your triggers.
Kayden was exactly who I thought he would be from the bits and pieces you got of him in the previous 2 books.
Unhinged, possessive but loyal AF.
Kayden and Dani’s story is deep but so loving in his possessive way but we love that!
I knew he would be my favourite Stonewell man.

This book consumed me just like the other two in the series.

Kayden, the morally grey, obsessive, possessive, and overly protective MMC.
He was exactly how I imagined him to be and so much more.

“She consumes me—every single part of me. The hold she has over me—over my heart—is no easy feat. I would burn the world to ashes only to rebuild it in her image.”

Dani, a strong FMC, a survivor who takes care of everyone. She feels so real and raw as she navigates her healing journey.

“The man that holds my heart without even realizing it. I spent three years dreaming of him, and he ended up being everything I hoped for.”

At one point, the suspense really hit, and I guarantee you won’t be able to stop reading.
The last part leading up to the ending was brutal and nearly gave me a heart attack - thank you very much.

I highly recommend reading the whole series in order. All the MCs from the previous two books appear in this one, and it’s so much better when you already know them.

I love them all so much, I’m sad that’s over and I’m going to miss them.

Check TW before reading!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC REVIEW!!!

Wicked Desires by Ashley McKnight absolutely consumed me. This is the kind of dark romance that pulls you under and refuses to let you breathe until the very last page.

Kayden is the definition of morally gray perfection. He is obsessive, protective, and unapologetically possessive, yet every action is rooted in a twisted kind of devotion that makes your heart race. The way he has watched over Dani for years, keeping his distance while never truly letting her go, adds such an intense layer to their connection. He is dangerous, yes, but when it comes to her, his darkness feels focused and deliberate. It is not random chaos. It is controlled fire.

Dani is not a weak heroine waiting to be saved. She carries scars from her past, but she also carries strength. Watching her confront resurfacing danger while grappling with the truth about Kayden kept me completely invested. Their chemistry is electric, charged with years of longing, unfinished emotions, and the kind of tension that practically vibrates off the page.

The suspense in this story is relentless. Just when you think you can settle into the romance, the stakes rise again. The past does not stay buried, and the threat hanging over Dani adds urgency to every interaction. I loved how the story balanced obsession and vulnerability, showing that love in this world is fierce, messy, and anything but gentle.

Ashley McKnight delivers exactly what fans of dark, possessive heroes crave. Wicked Desires is intense, emotional, and unapologetically bold. If you love romances where devotion borders on dangerous and the hero’s final promise feels more like a vow carved in stone than a sweet whisper, this book will own you.

I was in love with our characters from book one and two in this trilogy but something about Kayden and Dani was just chef’s kiss. I was more than excited to finally dive into their story and see their bond grow. Kayden and Dani both have their own inner demons and parts of them that needed healing, only to realize that just having the other in their life would heal parts they didn’t even realize were broken. There’s always something about two broken souls coming together in the most perfect way. I found myself relating to both from time to time, in certain situations which I loved because it always creates that special connection to the story.

Favorite quote: “I enjoy putting light into another’s life, because I know what it feels like to be without it.” While there were multiple, this was the one that stood out the most because that is a quality I possess and still strive to achieve to this day. We’ve all been at low points where we thought we would never see the light again, but just like Dani and Kayden, we did or are on our way.

As always, Ashley truly brought these characters and this story to life in the most real and raw way. I would have to say Wicked Desires is my favorite in the trilogy.

Listen. If you like your romance light and fluffy, this is not your aisle. This book lives in the shadows, drinks black coffee, and stares at you like it knows your secrets.

Kayden? Sir. We need to talk.

He’s the tortured, morally-gray (okay, charcoal-black) hero with a savior complex and a past that could fill an entire therapy wing. He’s out here rescuing trafficking victims while quietly drowning in his own demons. Protective? Yes. Unhinged at times? Also yes. The man walks the razor-thin line between “I would burn the world for you” and “someone please take his matches away.” And honestly? I ate it up.

Dani is not your fragile flower FMC. She’s a survivor. Her strength isn’t loud or flashy it’s raw, messy, and hard-earned. Watching her navigate healing while still allowing herself to feel something for Kayden? That’s where this book really shines. She doesn’t magically “fix” because love showed up. Her journey feels painful, complicated, and real.

This book is the last in a trilogy following brothers. They are standalone and don’t have to be read in order, but it’s so much better when you follow the journey!

Dani lives a plain and boring life, just how she wants it. It’s been 3 years since she was rescued from the sex traffickers and just works and goes home and that’s it. Every night when she sleeps though she can’t get rid of the piercing blue eyes that stare at her.

Kayden was obsessed with Dani after rescuing her, but decided to let her love her life without him and his darkness. He has watched her some though. When he finds out she isn’t taking care of herself correctly though he decides it’s time to step in.

Little do they know her past is about to come back and hit them both.

This was such a great story, so glad I got an ARC. Check the trigger warnings thought! Story and spice are on point!! Please do yourself a favor and read the trilogy…you won’t regret it.

If you’re looking for a simple gentle romance book then turn around and go back to your place cause this is anything but those. This is a very dark intense book. Read your triggers before proceeding this book. Also this is the 3rd and final book from the trilogy. So you MUST read the first and second book to understand this one.

Kayden what are you sir ? I still can’t stopped thinking about you. And Dani she isn’t like the usual FMC. She’s the survivor. She survived everything that was thrown to her way. Together they are unstoppable.

I so much loved this whole series. I couldn’t get enough of them. This book hands down one of my favourite

I love a dark romance and had the opportunity to read Wicked Desires and I really enjoyed it!

It is the third and last of the series and can be read as a standalone but I did enjoy reading from the beginning and the journey of the brothers.

The book was dark which I love to read but may not be for some so please check your trigger warnings before diving in.

I loved Kayden he was my favourite of the series he's such a dark, possessive and protective MMC and I loved the relationship he has with Dani who is a survivor. Both have their own issues but together they were everything, really enjoyed it and highly recommend

Wicked Dreams – Ashley McKnight | 4⭐ ARC Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wicked Dreams by Ashley McKnight was intense, steamy, and full of emotional tension. The chemistry between the main characters was undeniable, and I loved the messy, morally gray dynamic that kept me hooked.

That said, some of the darker scenes were a little too dark for me personally. While I appreciate high-stakes angst, a few moments pushed past my comfort zone.

Overall, though, it was still an addictive read with strong chemistry and plenty of drama — a solid 4 stars for dark romance fans.

I have been waiting for this book in the series! I knew Kayden was going to be my favorite Stonewell. He does not disappoint. The darkness he has in him is absolute perfection. I was terrified there for a few chapters. I almost cried a few times. Dani didn't deserve to go through what she had to go through but in the end it seemed to be worth it all. They were meant for each other. Such a good series! I loved all of these Stonewell men.

This book ends the trilogy and is hands down the best of the bunch. The plot is tighter, the characters (especially the MMC) are more believable, and the resolution is the sweetest. Though I question many of the FMC's decisions, her reaction to being stalked after her trauma in the past especially, I don't think it is entirely unbelievable either. I'd have to say some of the dialogue is a bit bumpy as well, perhaps a bit rushed, but I am glad I gave the series a chance and came this far. It was worth it.

Danis life changed after being trafficked shebwas saved by a dark knight in Kayden with ice blue eyes that haunted her ever since. He walked away to protect her, but watched over her. When he learns her past is coming back he cant keep to the shadows any longer. Well written Kayden and Danis story is dark, twisting and uptterly captivating, they work so well together, sharing moments of heat and understanding connection. A great addition to the series.

BETA REVIEW

Book length: 245 pgs

Kayden & Dani. Whew. I don’t think I have ever read a book that throughout reading the entire book there was not a single time that the main characters were not hurt but also being healed all at the same time and it was so beautiful to read.

This book is beautifully written and portrays the characters in a way that brings the reader in to relate to the words written on the page and I think that is a beautiful thing when it is done the right way by the author.

“It’s been years since I felt this scared, but also years since I felt this safe.”

“I enjoy putting light into another’s life, because I know what it feels like to be without it”

If you have the chance, PLEASE go read at your earliest convenience ❤️
