A rescue/ terrorism story where the MC's had a past together. For all the action & angst this was just an "ok" story.

Enjoyable suspense tale of hostage Kate Hamilton whose ex-fiance Parker McCall has a single goal in mind. Rescue the woman he loves from the horrendous situation that she has landed in while visiting the Russian Embassy in Paris. Kate has tried to recover from the breaking of her engagement but is startled to learn the real reason behind all of the lies she was told, Parker is a highly trained agent. Together they must survive a multitude of enemies and learn to trust each other again. Slightly uneven action and somewhat difficult to determine who the bad guys are but a nice light read.

Nice little purple comfort book. I honestly didn't like either lead (male or female) untiil halfway through the book, but they grew on me. I really enjoyed the pacing, plot and characters. Glad to clean out another book from my Nook with a nice little suprise this turned out to be!

Enjoyed the plot as well as the relationship between Parker and Kate. Good read for what the Harlequin Intrigue line provides.
