We haven’t been out of the Choosing for very long, and already we’re running into more complications.
Facing Dimitri will not be easy, but when an old friend shows up and explains the situation, I have to talk to him even if I won't allow myself to believe what I've been told.
Then there’s Pete, who we still have to try to locate.
The blue fucker is attacking at any opportunity, and according to Winston, there is something in Ireland that we need to find.
I’m more than happy to head back to House, and I know that we’re probably safer there than anywhere else. The idea is even more perfect when it turns out that in order to make the wards, Ransom needs an ingredient that only the Gargoyles have.
Writing has never been optional for Nikita Parmenter. Like eating and breathing, it’s something integral to their existence. Everyday they are thankful to be able to make a career from something that brings them so much pleasure.
It wasn’t easy getting their first break in the publishing world. Fortunately, a close friend and literary agent saw their potential in 2000 and that was the beginning of the first chapter of their professional literary life. Since then, Nikita Parmenter Author has published a number of short stories and bestselling books.
I really like the story line, but with the way that the books are written it gets more annoying with every book I read. Nothing major has happened in the last three books! They keep talking about things that needs doing, they keep saying they are busy but then also doing nothing, because ‘nothing can be done’. It just keeps going around in circles ‘we need to do this’, ‘we need to do that’ but at the end ‘we cannot do anything about it at the moment, but we will figure it out’. I mean it gets so frustrating. Also with repetitions all the time gahhh! For example, there is a research to be done, which we know, the research has been discussed in many other books, but then go into details again about what the research is about, we already know! There is no need for that! I feel like 1/3 of the book was something new and actually interesting. The rest is just rambling, saying random things, and guys smirking.. It’s so annoying because I like the story and I want to know how it ends, but these 7 books could have been told in 2 books, maybe 3 but that is already stretching it. Ohh and whilst I am on a role, the same phrases - That makes sense, agreed, fair enough etc blah. Gets on my nerves so much that I am just skipping the dialogues completely, which means I finished the book quickly without actually missing important info.
Let me start with, “I adore this author.” But my exact words when finishing the book were “WTH, woman.” There is no progress made on any of the mysteries except we now know the name of two of the bad guys. That’s it. And when I was sure the end would be finding the mystery team member, it was more mystery. I know these characters do the talking but seriously, please get to the point. Of at least one of the mysteries. By book seven there should be some closure or even progress on at least one of these long standing mysteries. It’s honestly, not even fun anymore at this point because the author keepsadding more problems and mysteries while solving exactly none. At least in the Home series, the author started clearing the board a little bit by now. It’s going on too long. This might go the way of the Artemis University series and be a series I put down until the author finishes because of all the filler.
WARNING! Cliffhanger! This one rates a 4.5/5 on my trauma scale (I was expecting it, but it’s definitely an “I have to know more” moment!).
Picking up where the last book left off, Neith and her crew are finishing their lupine adventure, before heading off home for a rest, and some research.
They have a new case to start on, but there are some old ones they also need to work on.
First up, is the case of Dimitri, whom Neith learns has been controlled and who now wants to see her; then there is the need to get to Ireland and visit House…
As usual, this is a frantically paced book with a lot to unpack in it, and Neith and her cohort are always on the go.
We meet quite a few intriguing characters in this book, some of whom I even want to learn more about (and hope that they will someday get their stories told)!
Neith gets a little closer to her crew, and this does mean we see some steamy scenes, but it also means we start learning a little more about them, and who they are to Neith. Her meeting with Dimitri is also quite intriguing, and enough information is shared that there are some fairly big breaks in their enormous caseload.
This book actually has a number of “hmmm” and “ah-ha” moments that feel like we are finally on the path to getting some answers that we have been long awaiting.
Another enjoyable book in this series continuing the saga of Neith and her merry crew of males. It’s a very fast paced, and action filled, fantasy reverse harem, with a humorous crew of quirky characters (Neith’s brain might actually classify itself as a separate one at times), and an entertaining ongoing mystery plot line.
It’s obviously not a standalone story, building upon the six previous books, and it does end on a cliffhanger with numerous plots still dangling (going to guess that there are several books left at least), but it is a fun series to read, not taking itself at all seriously, but just being a relatively lighthearted (despite the things they deal with) series.
This is a fun read for the fans of the series, and those who enjoy fast paced plots, ridiculous (at times) characters, and a RH romance.
I say this with love: this series feels like someone traded their IV for a constant stream of energy drinks and just took off running, full throttle. It's high-octane, wildly fast-paced, and somehow manages to get sidetracked by every single possible side quest along the way. The main plot? Occasionally remembered, often misplaced. Think “open-world RPG with too many map markers and zero direction.”
That said, the worldbuilding - especially the variety of species - is what’s kept me engaged. It’s refreshingly weird and imaginative, and I genuinely enjoy that part.
This isn't an “easy-to-follow” read by any stretch, but if you thrive in chaos, you might actually keep up better than you expect. Personally, I’ve read a few of Nikita’s series now, and they all ride that same chaotic energy - like the literary version of a speedrun with no route planning.
Is it flawless? Absolutely not. Is it trying to be? Also no. This isn’t a serious deep-dive harem epic - it’s more like a sandbox game where the characters are too busy doing fetch quests to remember why they started in the first place. And yet… here I am, book 7 downloaded, still along for the ride. Sometimes, fun is enough.
And I would put actual money on the fact that the author plays video games the same way she writes - main quest? Never heard of her. Side quests only, baby.
No not no, you can't leave it like that. I was so excited to show our newest member house and introduce them but to say they are being attacked broke my heart. I know they will save house but it's the waiting. Like how we know where the 2 last parts of their pack (family/harem) are by now but getting them all together is really taking its time. I can however deal a little longer with that but to know that house and Ethel are being hurt really hurts my heart.
I know Nikita has has quite a few series on the go at the same time and I love each and every one of them but the waiting is a killer lol lol.
Looking forward to the next and im really keeping everything crossed that we will meet up with Dad. I would hate for them to only be reunited at the end of the series.
More questions keep being brought up & few have answers which only make it all the more intriguing. I feel like once we start to get more answers that’s when it’ll be so good.
I love the fact that he relationships with each of the guys is progressing in their own ways & we even get glimpses into Dimitri & maybe possibly that mysterious man in the other world?
Each book leaves me wanting more of Neith & her hilarious inner thoughts. Plus more of her & all of her guys.
I honestly cannot believe I finished and it felt like we got nowhere from the prior book. I thought we would have at least made some progress with her dad and the other team member. But it honestly was the last two chapters that were interesting. But damn to wait a whole year just to get some answers?!! This was such a disappointing read. The characters really pissed me off with putting things on a list of priorities. It felt like everything was categorized as can get tackled later. One word to describe this book, chaotic. I’m big on finishing a series so I’ll be waiting and hoping the next book redeems this series.

I took some time reading this one through. Re read a few chapters and previous books so I felt caught up. I’ll need to re read this one again when the next one comes out but I really loved it. They all seem to be on the same page. Need to find the ring selling men and women to powerful supes, need to take out the blue guys named Casimer who started the war in Trinelia and earth, and they need to find Murray who is really a bad chick pretending to be good who potentially has her dad, Balthair.
I love the characters, I love the world building, I love the plot. The writing just lets it down so much.
The hints are a little too obvious, there are too many random tangents, and just not enough happens per book. The entire book was like 2 days. I love it all happening, there just needs to be 1000% more content per book and 50% fewer random tangents! And the next one comes out September 2026?! Whyyy 😩
It was a nice surprise when I’d seen that this book had been released and I found that I enjoyed this book as much as the others in the series. I loved that another piece of the puzzle fell into place with this book and it was frustratingly fantastic that there were many more questions added to the long this I need answers for. I loved the ending and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. I would recommend giving it a read.
Nooooo for cliffhangers. I was so into it I didn’t even notice where in the book I was.
Good progression of the story line and really enjoyed as they work through their new powers after the choosing and find more information out. All the while adding to their plate cases and things that need to be looked into.
Cannot wait for the next one. I’m also convinced that the guy on Leucidiuous in Kyrous

So wish I didn’t have to wait a year for the next book. So many questions and the lists. Totally get the forgetting cause I tend to. The powers, elders, violence, realms. I need answers!
I stumbled onto this series and didn’t actually know it wasn’t completed until I saw the little notification of book 8 September 2026. Like that’s far away.
What a terrific book again 😀 it reads like a dream and before you know it. The book is done and your wishing that the next one would be available. You find some new clues and new unsuspected twist. Love the storyline and the caracters. Can't wait till book 8.
As an avid reader of close to 300 books a year, I always look forward to Nikita's books. I have read every single one of her books and I can't say that for any other Author. If you like your RH books with a magical touch, a strong FMC, and men who love that their woman is just a strong as them, then you will love her books! I can't wait for the next book!
I absolutely love this series and anything that’s author writes
I’ve read literally every book that she’s written. I was so happy we finally got to meet Dimitri. But woman, I need the next book like now. I absolutely love the series and I cannot wait to see how it continues from here.
I have always enjoyed Nikita Parmenter's stories, but this is my favorite. The characters grow and develop throughout the series, and this book is no different. It is very plot driven, with just enough spice to make it interesting. This book is packed with action. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
This is like a never ending saga. 300 pages and not even a week passes. You need to be in a very chill mood to read these books. I had to stop and start. The group keeps growing, mates are revealed, new powers erupt in everyone and more mysterious events occur. Punctuation remains a challenge. I did enjoy this one more than number 6 though.
Another amazing book in this series. Once I started I just couldn’t stop reading and wanting to see what neith and her guys are up to next. Can’t wait for the next one already.
A lot of twists and turns in this book but as always something that you don't want to put down. I am already for the next we where left with a cliff hanger and I love it. Great job with this book. Thank you
Nikita you have done it again. But this time I have been left with panic. You are brilliant but why would you leave us hanging. Now I need the next book. I don’t know if I will recover. A devoted fan for life!!!!
Dude ! Why did you leave the ending like that? This was so good they’ve gotten some answers but whole lot of craziness happened too. I can’t wait for the next book . I absolutely love this series.
These books are so great. I love the characters so much. Your writing is excellent. I've read most of your books and love them but this series love love love ❤️ 😍 💖
I enjoyed this book. However I don’t know how many more books we are expecting…. It feels like the story is stalling a bit. Lots of internal monologuing, like a teen girls diary, bit of action. That plus all the R names, and I still don’t know how many men she has right now.
Gah!! The cliffhanger 😩. This story is so unbelievably good. The world is such a great mix of human and magic. Yummy men and it seems more to come. Love all the surprises and curve balls. The cliffhangers are killing me though haha
Noooo! How could you ended it on that killer cliffy! I can't wait to read the next book. Of course I say that about all of this authors amazing series. I just can't wait to read the next book!
I love Neith and the guys so much. They have so much more on their plate in this book and not much done so far but we will get see house again in the next book and a potential fun battle. I can’t wait for the rest of her crew come together.
Some are solved but others keep popping up! What is Neith and the guys connection to Luesidious? So many questions. I am going to have a hard time waiting to find answers. I can't get enough of Neith and her guys!!! I need more!
Action packed and full of answers but more questions
I absolutely adore Neith and her men. I loved Dimitri's parts and I'm excited to see where else this story will go! Oh no poor house and the cliff hanger is always a doozy but will have you absolutely excited for the next book!
