This is my first book by this author in which I enjoyed reading. I found this book to have a creative plot and characters that are created with alot of heart. I enjoyed this autor's ability to pull me into the story from the start and keep me turning pages to the end. I found this to be a well written and inspirational. A story about belonging and questioning what that means. Jade is a great character who is strong and took me on an emotional roller coaster ride. I enjoyed how supportive the other characters were to her. The plot as well as all the characters have great growth throughout the story which made it easy to read. I found this story hard to put down, engaging and fast paced. I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. i highly recommend this book.

Racial tension, trying to lean into who you are, married to one person but falling for another. All the hallmarks for a really good story line. The story moved a little slow for me and at times felt a little repetitive. While I did enjoy the ending, I didn't find it believable at all. I wish all prejudices were overcome that quickly.
