Manga creator ONE first created One-Punch Man as a web comic, where it quickly went viral, garnering over 10,000,000 hits! Along with One-Punch Man, ONE also writes and draws another series called Mob Psycho 100.
Think I at least need to re-read the previous before the new. Took a moment to remember what happened before. Garo acting like a hero, the fight with Metal bat was pretty cool. Saitama actually being clued in. An interesting confrontation given the times he'd already been brushed off. Pretty much the aftermath of the big battles.

Not adding notes for volumes 24-31, here’s my very short thoughts.
Everything underground was too long, expect for Saitama and flashy flash and that one monster- that was great.
Really didn’t like the fan service chapters that were tornado vs that other physic lady, even though tornado was awesome.
Space garou was ok until i though about it and realized this series could go on forever if One just allows the artist to make saitama keep fighting bigger and badder space/universe villains… so I’m not sure about the future of this series.

This really should be the best volume… but it’s not. Saitama showing off his strength, cool moments from Metal Bat and Garou… but seriously, why would Saitama start walking away from the fight? When has he ever not just taken out a monster when it is imposing upon people? I get that he doesn’t think Garou looks like a monster, but he literally tells Saitama that he wants to reshape the world in his evil image or whatever… it just feels a little out of character.
Honestly, I love the direction this is taking. Everything is becoming more rational and calm; it’s finally coming together. The fact that Saitama himself proposes ending the conflict with Garou without killing him shows he’s truly stepping up to his superhero responsibilities—it’s very well executed. Also, I’m really digging the strange kind of friendship starting to form with Metal Bat; it’s unexpected, but it totally works. Besides, if Garou were to be a hero, there’s no question he’d be in the S-Class Top 5.

On Volume 34, which is currently the last volume in the series. The story has slowed way, way down, the art is as good as ever, and there are still some good snickers along the way.
The central focus has become the villain who turned to evil because of being bullied by kids who were imitating “heros” they saw on television. Although he sometimes does good things, he has nonetheless pledged to resolve all the injustice in the world by bringing evil down on everyone equally. In this he sounds like what some of the advocates of the far-right sound like. The system is flawed, so we must burn it all down.
The question left open by Volume 34 (and by our own future) is what will happen next.
I felt pretty confident this series could have ended with this particular volume, despite a number of unanswered questions (e.g., who are Blast and Drive Knight?; what is the rationale behind heroes/monsters becoming more powerful when they are beaten up but survive?, etc.), BUT NO! There are EIGHT MORE volumes that have yet to be released and translated into English, and the English versions are usually two or more volumes behind.
As much as I enjoy Saitama, it's getting to be a bit of a slog. I hope we get to a point eventually because as it's gone on it's clear there have been attempts at a point as Saitama's appearances diminish and other characters increase rather than pure fun.
Finally Garou and Saitama face each other. Eventhough the fight is clearly one-sided, Garou still manages to endure a few one-punch hits, which is… kind of surprising, I guess. The other pages mostly feel like decoration anyway, just something to look at before the next punch happens.
And apparently the newest Indonesian volume (No. 32) still only reaches the Garou scene, so it’s still pretty far behind the chapters that have already been released. The good part, though, is that it looks nicer: the ink is darker, the artwork feels more solid, and everything is arranged more neatly.
There are some cool bits in this volume, specifically with Saitama and an aircraft carrier. There is also a cool splash page of Saitama landing that is expertly drawn. I feel like nothing of import has happened in a long time in the world of One Punch Man though. Most of the fighting is inconsequential, and the story has not budged at all in a while. You are here for some action shots and comedic moments, not for plot movement or meaningful character arc conclusions.
Alright. Now this is more like it. First we get Garo wiping the floor with everyone, then we get Saitama literally surfing by using an aircraft carrier, because why wouldn't he? The Garo and Metal Bat vs yet another giant centipede, and if we ever get a buddy comedy with these two as stars, I will die happy. Then we finally get the start of Garo vs Saitama, and it's basically what you think it is. A man disciplining a child, and I am here for it.
Fantastic is a small word to describe it! It was awesome as far awesomeness goes. Yusuke Murata, you are such an skillfull artist! I am so glad that you are doing this manga justice. And that last page! That was beyond awesomeness, pure raw fun!
Now, I gotta wait for the next volume! It is tough!
We finally get the ultimate Garo v Saitama match-up we've been building to for so many chapters. And it's excellent, though incomplete in this volume. Saitama goes into this fight with full confidence in his invulnerability, I love his line to the kid "see? He can't hurt me! You want me to stop him but not kill him, yeah?"
Garo's super-duper monster form was a bit over the top. I like his "galaxy" form though, and I'm really intrigued by this "god" character. I love the panels where he's depicted - usually we see him through the POV of some character, and he appears as a familiar face, but with this creepy fractal-fleshy pattern instead of a face. It's some Junji Ito crap, really good.
Garo is…possibly going to have a redemption? Poor guy was so confused by Saitama telling him he wasn’t really a monster, and admonish him not to play too hard 😂 King as usual was in the right place to get credit for Saitama’s work.
I really wish each volume had more content…

I'm kinda giving up on this arc ever being over, but at least, this volume has some good jokes and focuses more on the core humor of the series, so, it's good enough for me.
