I was lucky enough to hear a lecture or two from this man. I had no idea he had such things on his mind, but his loss of faith in the western university, desire for a new life of reading, or "literacy", etc -- it has caused me to think a lot. On a smaller scale, he recommends trimming down one's reading list to read as one truly should... I have done exactly the opposite during the last six years.
