Everyone has a dream. Mine? To fight. To conquer. To rise. I didn’t just chase the underground circuit—I ruled it. The roar of the crowd, the sting of blood, the electric rush of fury… I was born for this.
But glory has its price.
What started as a dream twisted into something darker. The ring wasn’t the only place I had to fight. My personal life became a war zone. The woman who once worshipped the ground I walked on, Phoenix Clarke, now saw nothing but a bruised ego wrapped in a championship belt.
Then fate stepped in with a twist I never saw coming.
Now I’m not just fighting for titles. I’m fighting for redemption. For love. For a second chance that might just knock me out cold.
Let me start off by saying I was hooked from the very beginning! I first read about these characters in an Anthology and hoped a full length story would be written because I needed more of Jacob and Phoenix! The story starts out so powerful it took my breath away. Jacob is a young man who wants to make something of his life as a boxer. He wants to build on his relationship with Phoenix, but will the way he goes about it jeopardize everything they are to each other? Phoenix loves Jacob with all her heart but when an ultimatum is given, what will the decision be? Both of them love each other but can Jacob make the ultimate sacrifice? Phoenix is such a breath of fresh air and she loves Jacob, but there is quite a bit against them. And Jacob is devoted to both Phoenix and boxing, but needs to make a choice. The way this author wrote I could feel the angst, the lust, the emotions and the love jump off the pages! I rooted for Jacob and Phoenix throughout and hoped that they would end up together. But as in life, things don’t always go as planned, or do they? I found this story to be riveting and I didn’t want it to end. I was kept on the edge of my seat throughout because I needed to know what happened! You will need to read this brilliant first book in this new series. It will blow your mind!
Jacob king. You have my heart, mind and soul. I’m obsessed with you.
Jacob king wanted everything, a talented boxer, to be the top and he wanted it with Phoenix at his side. But watching Jacob get used by a less than ‘legit’ manager hurts Nix, to the point she gives him the ultimatum.
Her or boxing.
3 years later he comes into the ER where she works and neither f them can walk away, navigating around being around each other again. They stumble back into each other’s arms. But they are different now, Jacob wants to be the best but not at the cost of losing Nix, and Nic has others to think about.
I love these two, from the moment I met these two in in the bad boy series that was released last year, I have been waiting for their story to be competed and boy did sienna do an amazing job. Their love for each other never went away, buried deep in both of them bubbling away until they fought their way back to each other.
Danny. Urgh. I hate him.
But Ethan. 🥹 I can’t wait for his story!
As well as finding out more about the Campbell siblings.
And boom Sienna smashes it again 🥊 After meeting King and Phoenix in an anthology piece I really couldn't wait to get their full story and boy was it worth the wait!! Its been a long time since I was so lost in a book I had no clue what was happening around me but thats what happened today, I fell into the Brawlers world from start to end without wanting to put it down. These guys were absolutely meant to be together but with so many obstacles in their way, will it actually happen? Bumps in the road, secrets, people against you and someone not realising what they really want all rolled into one fab read that leaves you holding your breath and awaiting book 2 for the series! LOVED LOVED LOVED 🥊
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Couple: Jacob & Phoenix ❋❋❋❋❋❋ There was a good story there but the execution fell flat for me. Jacob and Phoenix were good characters but there was a lack of feelings and connection. Some of the focus was on things that didn't really matter and the issues that did kind of got glossed over.
Jacob and Phoenix have quite a story. He's an underground fighter and she's finally had enough. What's going to happen when he must choose between the love of his life and the career he loves? You'll have to read their story to find out. Just know that Sienna knows how to keep you begging for more. I'm so excited for Ethan's story next.
I read this book way back when it was shorter and in an anthology. I liked it then, but I loved it now. Phoenix and Jacob go through hell and back to get where they are in the end. There’s secrets, lies, betrayal, grovelling, everything you’d expect from a fighter romance. I can’t wait for book 2.
I really enjoyed the characters and the plot in this book. Everyone was important on the journey for King to become a fighter, my only slight flaw in the plot is the way King loved Phoenix he would not have just walked a way for three years with no contact; I can understand why she gave up trying, but it didn't follow the story line for King to give up and disappear in essence.
Brutal fight scenes that are graphic and realistic. Heartbreak and angst, it's twisted and rocky, betrayal and loyalty and several surprises. Characters not to judge because they may not be what your mind tells you. It's full on and epic and I enjoyed it.
I originally read the shorter version in an anthology and was so glad when it was released as a longer story. I loved it and could put it dow. I was gripped
