This is just a great story all around. It has a strong fmc who learns to crave the unhinged, possessive and very protective mmc. Lots of action with the twists and turns. Oh and we can’t forget the spice between Molly and Cole 🫠. The way he takes control but lets her know she can always stop him will have you melting or at least it does me lol.
This story starts off with our fmc working on a case against a very powerful family and she witnesses a murder while in her office. They start pursing her to silence her and to get the information she has that would hurt the family. That’s when she meets the mmc and the story really starts. Like always read your triggers but this story has the perfect balance of everything I enjoy without having me questioning my morals to much lol.

This book started off with a bang !! I was completely hooked from the beginning all the way to the end!! If you are not a big fan of slow burns you will definitely love this one as it’s a fast pace story. If you are also someone that LOVES spicy books (like me 🤭) you’ll definitely enjoy this one. Now Cole …. COLE !!! Ugh that man had me clutching my pearls throughout the book. I may have just found my new book boyfriend !

This is very smut heavy, I think every chapter involved some sort of sexual act. Whilst I love spicy books, I do like a lot more plot even in a novella. This is also marketed as a dark psychological romance but it definitely didn’t read like one.

I so wanted to like this more than I did. In my opinion, it felt repetitive. Some of the time lines didn't add up. There were some scenes that felt like the author forgot were already written in. Molly was too submissive for me and submitted very quickly.

Thank you so much Fleur for the ARC ☺️ This was an extremely fast paced book with lots and LOTS of smut!! I had a lot of fun reading this but, wish there would have been more plot cause I was so invested from the very beginning, but felt like I didn’t get much of it other than the smut. Not that this wasn’t a great read cause it absolutely was! It was quick, easy and fun! It’s just that it’s labeled as a dark psychological romance and feels like all we mostly got was the romance aspect… Again, had a wonderful time and do recommend if you’re looking for something quick and spicy! 🥵

Received this as an ARC.
It’s very smut heavy, but there is definitely a plot too, just not much but more than some of the other short books i’ve read.
You get some backstory to both characters, so you have a bit of a feel what they are like, but i wish there was a bit more insight still.
I would’ve liked the ending to be slightly more action packed than it was, but the action that was there was still very good.
I like the whole control/fear/submission/pleasure aspect to this story.
Overal i enjoyed reading this, would definitely recommend ✨

I did enjoy this but I didn’t really like the insta love/lust. It had some good plot to it. The main character Molly who’s a prosecutor gets targeted after seeing a crime by a crime family and she meets this guy who is witness protection, Cole Bennet and immediately a spark is between them and they go off the grid together. As a week goes by Molly and Cole get intimate and he also trains her and makes her she’s ready to face anything head on if she gets captured. I didn’t personally think of this as dark romance or morally grey characters just romantic suspense to me with spice but I guess that’s just me. It was pretty enjoyable I just wanted more action on the run for those characters.

I really enjoyed reading this short story of Cole and Molly and now want to read the other books of where everything began!!
This is not a slow burn book and has multiple trigger warnings so keep your mental health in mind! There is a plot, although the spice is the majority of the story so if that’s not for you then you probably won’t enjoy this one!!
I love how this story kept me intrigued and wanting more! The main characters automatic want and need for each other was perfect to me, the storyline kept me on my toes waiting for the shoe to drop and the ending was great! I always love an unhinged, protective MMC!! 🥵

This book is definitely for my dark romance girlies who love a fast paced romance with a praise kink. The book is so well written and she manages to paint the surroundings and feelings so real with her words. The spice is spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and the way it's described into details makes your crave more. The way Cole uses Good Girl will forever live rent free in my head. Cole is the new bookboyfriend who loves to be in control, possessive and dominant, and who doesn't love that?

Oh my gosh, this book was absolutely incredible! I was hooked from the very first page to the very last. If you’re not a fan of slow-burning stories, you’ll absolutely love this one - it’s super fast-paced and exciting. And if you’re also a fan of spicy books you’ll definitely enjoy this one too.

It’s not a love at first sight type novella, but more of an obsession at first sight, and that sets the tone for the entire story. The chemistry between the characters is immediate, intense, and at times unsettling, creating a fascinating dynamic that keeps you hooked.
Despite being a novella, Devlin manages to pack a lot of emotional depth and tension into a short amount of time. The pacing is relentless, with action and suspense from the get-go, and the resolution, while fast, feels satisfying for such a short read. My immediate response to just the dedication was “oh ok!” In pure excitement!
I was told this book starts fast and it absolutely holds up to that claim! I read the first chapter so fast because it was action packed. This book is a novella and the author described it as pure tension and steam. It is absolutely that!! 13 chapters FULL of spice! I was warned that this book had a lot, and I mean a lot, of spice and it may not be for everyone. I ate it up!! If you are looking for a book that your SO may benefit from without even reading… this will do it! The possessive and protective MMC is delicious and the action was well written too. I loved hearing the FMC think through the training she received as she uses the techniques to protect herself. My only critiques are I wish there was a little more non spicy training depicted for a spice break and to give the plot a little more depth. And there was some repetition with regard to the danger and failure of the system that seemed a little overkill.
This novella is in connection to the Shadow Series universe and it definitely piqued my interest to read more by this author. As always, check triggers, but I would definitely recommend it!

A FAST PACED RIDE FROM START TO FINISH!!!
This book did NOT slow down. From the 2nd page to the end, I was deep into this read. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. No slow-burn in this novella at all. This is an ADULT themed novella with 3 pages of trigger warnings! I loved it!! I was immediately thrown into Molly's world (a Federal prosecutor handling a high profile case against a major crime family) who is being hunted because of what she knows. I loved how Fleur developed Molly's character and made her really know and discover who she was because of what she experiences and her relationship with COLE! Omg! Cole! This guy was all the DARK and DIRTY things. I could not get enough!!! He was Molly's Savior, Protector and Lover! Their story while running and hiding from criminals hellbent on finding Molly was UNBELIEVABLE! Talk about steamy! I was on the edge of my seat most of the night! Or... I was drinking lots of cold water! LOL!!
The book is written in duo perspectives so you can really feel what both Cole and Molly are feeling and learn about them via their points of view. And believe me there is a LOT to learn! Again, this is a Must READ THIS FALL! I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK TO BE RELEASED!!!

If you are after a slow burn, hearts and flowers love story. Then this really isn’t for you. This book jumps straight into the action of Molly and Cole. Molly is a federal prosecutor, who witnessed a murder by the Borsellini family, A case she happens to be working on to bring them down. She now needs to run for her life but Cole, former FBI witness security, gets to her first. It’s exhilarating, fast paced and dangerous, drawing you in from the beginning, wanting to know more. Cole is protective and possessive – in a good way! You know the type, you’re mine, touch her and die 😉 He is intense and so are the spice scenes, which id give a good ****. Molly is strong-minded and smart. Who will do what she can to survive. Cole draws her into his darkness and need for control, something that she never knew she craved until she met him. Spice aside, the storyline was gripping, I really wanted to know more about the Borsellini family. I would recommend this to all dark romance fans. As always, there are trigger warnings and a lot of them, check those out first.

Molly is a federal prosecutor, working on one of the biggest cases to take down a criminal empire, but one night changes everything and now it is a fight for survival!
Cole our mmc catches wind of this and doesn’t even hesitate to go and protect Molly from the corruption she doesn’t see coming her way!
Molly now has to trust the Cole Bennet to keep her alive, but what she doesn’t expect is to fall for the unhinged, protective mmc who becomes utterly obsessed with her!
This is a fast paced novella and the spice in this is absolutely insane 🥵 this book dives straight into action, so there is no waiting around!
But one thing I will say is that THIS has left me wanting… NO ABSOLUTELY NEEDING to know who this mysterious Killian is so I am beyond excited for when ghost comes out 😍

This book pulls you in right away with its tension, strong atmosphere, and high-stakes plot. The pacing is tight, and the writing style is smooth and immersive, making it easy to visualize everything as it unfolds. There’s a good balance between action and emotion.
Cole is a standout, controlled (until he is not, if you know what I mean), intense, and mysterious in a way that really holds your attention. His presence alone carries a lot of the tension. I also appreciated the darker undertones and the sense of secrecy throughout.
The smut scenes are beautifully written: sensual, emotional, and tastefully intense without being overdone.
My only small note is about the emotional pacing between the characters. I love a slow burn, the delicious, drawn-out tension before things escalate, so I wanted just a little more buildup before the intimacy kicked in, especially considering Molly’s smart, grounded personality. A bit more emotional resistance would’ve made the payoff even stronger.
That said, If you're looking for a fast-paced smut book, this one is definitely for you.

I never thought that it would take me days to finish this novella, but here we are (I blame my mental state and book slump). It does have decent plot and flow of the story, and there is not much in depth details describing characters but you get overall grasp of their personalities and such.
I personally love anything hot and steamy, but this mmc resolved every life situation involving fmc with good old session of bdsm. My inner brat wanted to throttle him (even tho I was secretly going all hot and bothered). I will have to love hate him for the rest of my life, I guess.
At the end, I did ended up liking this one, and I am looking forward to next book.

At the end, I did ended up liking this one, and I am looking forward to next book.

I was lucky to receive No Words as an ARC. This is one for the dark romance lovers (read the triggers before reading). I was instantly hooked by Cole and Molly's connection and loved how their relationship progressed. I loved how Fleur explored dark themes without romanticising SA, which is so important. As a spicy book, I wasn't expecting to love the plot as much, but I was very invested in the plot as a whole. I did wish for a little bit more on the plot; mainly, I felt that the main conflict scene was over too quickly. I can't wait to continue exploring this world in Fleur's upcoming Ghost.

As someone who can struggle getting into a book that has a slow build up, this book was NOT that. Straight from the beginning it has action and pulls your interest in.
This book doesn't have a dull moment yet none of it felt like it was being rushed.
The balance between action and spice was perfect in my opinion.
One of my favorite parts about this book isn't the plot (which is great) but it was the attention to detail when it comes to the kinky play. The little things that most authors don't mention, such as the recognition of the need for trust and the recognition that trust came fast. It is the often overlooked details, again such as aftercare and it's importance.

Molly Morrone is a prosecutor who has witnessed a murder & needs protection. Enter Cole Bennett. He collects her from her hiding place & takes her to an off the grid safehouse to protect her. With the forced proximity & high on adrenaline, things between Cole & Molly quickly escalate. This novella is served with lashings of spice as Molly learns to submit & surrender to not only fear, but pleasure. After all, “pain & pleasure. Fear & arousal. They’re all connected”. I absolutely loved this, & cannot wait for what comes next.

It's a short but intense story. Something I especially liked was the obsession that Cole shows, the desire for possession that make him an addictive character. Molly, for her part, perfectly reflects the dilemma between following the rules and letting herself be dragged by the forbidden.
In addition, the book has spicy scenes, making their relationship even more addictive. The plot combines the suspense of constant danger with the intensity of a dark romance, where protection and possession are mixed.

Generally speaking, it was very quick paced and full of adrenaline off the bat, which I liked. The "spice" followed really quickly , and I wasn't mad at that at all.
Quick little novella. I feel the huge trigger warning list was a little unnecessary, but I appreciated the heads up.
I would have loved the pace of the plot to have continued throughout the book, but overall, it was a solid read.
