Two families, one road that separates them, and one road that binds them.
When Eitan Gavish meets Nur El-Hadad on the grounds of their shared Israeli campus, the last thing he expected was to fall inexplicably in love. Charming and direct, Nur is a medical student and the pride of her traditional Arab Bedouin family. Gavish, an engineering student from the Jewish suburbia, is drawn by their mutual passion for the land they both share. Despite their difference in traditions and upbringing, they allow themselves to be pulled together by a shared curiosity for one another’s worlds.
After Eitan is presented with the chance of a to build a highway that will connect the rural southern towns to their neighboring cities, his relationship with Nur is put to the test when he realizes the road he’s building will displace most of the region’s Bedouin community.
Soon, Eitan and Nur discover that love is more than two hearts beating as one, but about families, communities, traditions, and the often-unseen paths that connect us all.
