Blue Lines & Chrismukkah Nights

Rate this book
What’s more terrifying than finding out you’re about to be a dad? Try doing it during the chaotic whirlwind of Chrismukkah.

The plan was focus on coaching my hockey team, and keep our sponsors happy. What didn’t I plan? Gracie—gorgeous, sharp, way too young for me, and the main sponsor's daughter… Ending up in a surprise storm, sharing Halloween candy, and making a bad decision (okay, an amazing decision).

By Thanksgiving, the pregnancy test has two lines and one very clear that night wasn’t just unforgettable—it’s going to change everything.

Cue the Chrismukkah menorahs catching fire, Santa drama, moms going full holiday meltdown, all while trying to figure out if this surprise connection can turn into something real. Oh, and her dad? The guy who chops down Christmas trees with an axe like he’s auditioning for a horror movie? Yeah—he’s not thrilled.

This holiday season, forget naughty or nice—we're just trying to survive with our sanity (and relationship) intact.

This steamy, fast, and low-angst romance brings together Asher, a tough-as-ice hockey coach, and Gracie, the younger fashion designer who stands her ground. A story filled with families who celebrate the winter magic of both Hanukkah and Christmas.Author's Gracie and Asher are second-generation characters, whose parents appear in Worth the Risk and The Real Deal. You do not have to read these books to enjoy Gracie and Asher's story. Just an added bonus!

Evey writes heartwarming romances with steamy moments, often in small-town settings with an element of sports. An American from the Midwest, she now lives in a tiny country in Europe where it rains a lot. That is probably why she occupies her days typing away on her laptop with music on repeat and slow-roast coffee nearby. Oh, and she vows to never break up with cake.

A fun easy to read, novella to put you in the holiday spirit. There is a lot of humor, banter and two very likable characters.

Asher and Gracie, Halloween candy, surprise storm, bad decision, and a surprise. These two do have chemistry, and I love how the holidays play a role in the story. Their journey keeps the pages turning, are the consequences of that night a mistake or the best thing ever.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

4 Star Review Blue Lines & Chrismukkah Nights: An Accidental Pregnancy Holiday Romance by Evey Lyon

It was just supposed to be a hookup but they can have consequences as ice hockey coach Asher and fashion designer Gracie, find out.

The characters were engaging and I could easily relate too. The chemistry sizzled between them and it was entertaining to watch as their relationship developed.

An entertaining story that ticked numerous boxes for me. The banter was witty and I found myself cheering for them to get the happily ever after they both deserved.

The Holiday Sparks series has me kicking my feet and squealing with joy. I loved the first novella Hat tricks and Christmukkah nights and delighted to get another one not long after it.
Blue lines and Christmukkah nights is a fabulous follow on novella ( but could be read standalone). It’s got another great set of tropes - One night stand, surprise pregnancy and Ice Hockey! The new coach Asher bumps into Grace on a number of occasions and sparks fly. One bad weather night and things get heated and four weeks later they discover they are expecting. This is such a fun, warm, humorous story. And I love the dynamics with both families and it’s all set around the holidays. Such a lot of heart and it’s got all the feels - one of those stories that when you finish it you realise you have been smiling 😊. Some of my favourite tropes and I loved the characters and how they development. It may be a short novella but packs a punch and along with the first book is definitely worth reading especially as we are approaching holidays ourselves.
Another small town piece of magic which is exactly what you expect from Evey Lyon.

FMC: Grace (aka Gracie)
MMC: Asher
Tropes: holiday themed novella, small town, one-night-stand turned into more, accidental pregnancy, hockey coach, age gap
Spice Rating: Two
Series: Holiday Sparks Novella
POV: Dual
Cliffhanger: No

Two holiday releases from Evey Lyon in the same month? Yes please! Both are novellas under 200 pages and easy to devour.

I enjoyed this book just as much as the first one. Both books can be read as standalone. But after reading Hat Tricks and Chrismukkah Nights, I couldn’t wait to get Grace’s story.

This book has the one-night-stand that becomes an accidental pregnancy trope. I know that’s not for everyone so just forewarning you. Honestly, I loved it. Gracie and Asher have chemistry and I have feeling that even if Gracie didn’t accidentally get pregnant, the two would have still ended up as they do!

As with the first book, I enjoyed the mix of holiday’s. They feature several holidays, but the main focus is Hanukkah and Christmas.

Another adorable holiday read to enjoy this holiday season!

Thank you to Evey Lyon and team for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book!

I received an ARC of this book, all thoughts are my own.

A bit of friendly flirting from Gracie has her ending up in bed with surly coach Asher. The night they spend together was intended to be a brief one-nighter, but quickly becomes something they can't get away from.

When a shock pregnancy brings them together, passion ignites into a wildfire. With burning looks, late-night confessions and chemistry that refuses to let up, Gracie and Asher have to find out if what began as a mistake could be the greatest thing that ever happened to them.

I loved their romance! It's the kind of rom-com that you really can't put down. From their random first encounter to one night stand, then to becoming accidental parents and learning to live and love together as a unit, their journey keeps you glued to the very end. This is a wonderfully addictive mistaken pregnancy romance, full of passion, emotion and the kind of love that starts off slowly and then completely consumes you.

I'm getting myself ready for the holidays early this year by reading one of the Holiday Sparks Romance 3 book series by Evey Lyon.

Evey has always been a go-to author when I'm in the mood for some good small town romance and this one hit the mark for a quick pre-holiday reading. The book is light, fun, sassy and romantic. The inclusion of some famous characters from previous Blisswood and Lake Spark series, it was sure to please and reminded me of how I love all the characters that Evey Lyon has conjured and brought to life.

At under 200 pages, it was a quick and easy read that just gave me that touch of holiday spirit along with some good ole romantic vibes that have me swooning and wanting more.

Absolutely love it and I'm ready for some more.

We've already met Asher and Gracie in the "Hat trick and Christmukkah Nights" book.
Gracie is Lainey's best friend and now it's her turn to shine.
Working as a designer, her ambition is not to become a mother, but the universe has other plans.
Having a one night stand with Lainey, Asher finds out he's going to become a dad.
Loved how they work so well together. Lainey is quite cheery, Asher finds out there's more besides being a coach.
Great read, specially if you don't want it to be that long (around 180 pages) and get instantly into that festive mood. No 3rd act breakups, so it really reads well.
Enjoy!

Love it! This fast pace holiday romance had my attention from the first page till the last and still wanting more. Asher and Grace meet and there is an instant attraction. After running into each other a few times the pull is to strong and they give in. I love how Asher goes all in and even though these two are grown, how much their families play an active roll. This book is full of witty banter, meddling family and lots of heat. I am a sucker for older man and holiday romances with lots of heartfelt moments and this book has it in spades. Highly recommend this 5 star book.

Asher was bowled over by Gracie from the moment he laid eyes on her. Intrigued by her, not even the team manager's warning could keep him away. And with Gracie living every moment to the fullest, there was no way for him to resist her. Their night together however came with consequences, a positive pregnancy test. But after the initial panic, they realized that they want this, and the life that goes along with it. The start of an adventure they didn't plan for but looking forward to. I loved their story, loved meeting up with old friends from previous books. I received an ARC copy and am leaving a voluntary review.

Asher and Grace

This story follows Asher and Grace. Both we know from the first holiday novel which featured another couple.
These two go on an unexpected journey which turns out to be the best that happened to them.
An accidental pregnancy romance to bind many tropes in it. A romance that will make you feel good and brings the mood in for the holidays.
Two very opposite characters juggling their news and bringing two families together.
An entertaining, spicy romance with heart and love.

Oooh, this was such an adorably sweet and delightfully sexy treat! Asher and Gracie have undeniable chemistry from the moment they meet, and one heated hookup unexpectedly changes everything. Their surprise pregnancy sets the stage for a laugh-out-loud, heart-squeezing journey as they try to figure out their next steps in the midst of Christmas cheer and Hanukkah warmth.
I loved watching them navigate the chaos, tender moments, and hilarious mishaps that come with their new reality. The age gap added an extra layer of charm, and Evey delivered it all with her signature blend of sweetness, steam, and heartfelt emotion. A quick, festive romance that’s as fabulous as it is fun.

What a lovely holiday novella. Asher and Gracie!
Asher is a moody coach, Gracie is sunshine. Together their chemistry is electrifying and you cannot help but love them together.
She’s sassy with him and he loves it. He’s demanding with her and she loves it.
I loved their story - it was such a feel good romcom that you cannot help but devour it.
Their journey from accidental meet, to a one night thing, to parents to be, to living together - you cannot help but want more till the very end!
Thank you so much to Evey and her team for this eARC in exchange for my honest review

Despite the fact that this book is a surprise baby romance, Asher and Gracie’s romance felt more like a slow burn as they got to know each other better post the big reveal. While the baby was definitely not in their plans, it turns out to be just the catalyst they need to push them closer.

It was fun seeing them adjust to being parents, as their respective families also learn of this wonderful news during the Christmas and Hanukkah season. The festive mood on point and their baby was definitely a miraculous gift.

Blue Lines & Chrismukka Nights is ice hockey coach Asher and fashion designer Gracie’s steamy, holiday romance and I loved being transported in the holiday season which happens to be my favorite time of year.
It was only meant to be one night and Gracie and Asher had no idea that steamy night was going to change their lives forever……..
This story drew me in and it wasn’t long before I became invested in the story and the characters. The banter is witty and the chemistry is hot and I found myself wishing for a holiday miracle for this couple.

Asher is a professional hockey coach and is in his 40s so when he had a one night stand with Gracie, who is in her 20s and is his team's sponsor's daughter, he didn't think they would get pregnant.

This holiday romance that mixes Christmas and Hanukkah is steamy and fast paced. I enjoyed their flirty banter the few times they meet before their night stand, and how grumpy/sunshine they are some times.

As they are a second generation characters, now I want to read their parents stories because I haven't read them yet, and I'm looking forward reading Shaw's story next.

Gracie gets pregnant after send spends the night with the older hockey coach, Asher. They are getting to know each other while adjusting to their new normal. At the same time, they must tell their families and finagle their family traditions. I absolutely had a blast reading this book. It was laugh out loud hilarious but also sensual. Asher and Gracie were just perfect together.

Change of plan
I had a great time reading this. Gracie and Asher had a magnetic connection. They’re entertaining and relatable, and the families are so much fun.
I loved how he realised the possibility of their situation first and stepped up immediately, giving Gracie the support she needed.
This is full of sweetness, humour, family bonding, holiday blending, friends, appointments, romance and lingerie.
It’s swoony, spicy and totally adorable, I love visiting this literary world.

Asher is the new hockey coach, Gracie is the daughter of one of the sponsors, and a bit younger.
But the attraction is undeniable, and one night leads to an unexpected pregnancy…
That one night was amazing, but it was just that, one night together. But when Asher finds out, he’s all in. He will be there for his baby, and he wants more with Gracie as well. It shows how good of a man he really is.
A very good book to get into the holiday spirits…!

It's that time of year when we start to get Christmas books and that has me in my happy place. Ms. Lyon has hit the spot with her new Christmas novella that will have you laughing and smiling all the way through. Talk about two people, Asher and Grace, who set the pages on fire in between the hilarious antics they seem to be involved in.
Looking for a quick and enjoyable read? Then look no further and get ready for laughs and good times.

This fun age gap holiday season novella has our MCs getting a one night stand with consequences.
I loved how both took responsibility of their actions and decided to move on with co-parenting. Along the way, feelings develop and the story begins.vthe banter between the two is fabulous.
There's minimal spice, appropriate for the story. I liked how this author incorporated all the holiday of the season.

An accidental pregnancy holiday romance that was a great read. I enjoyed the relationship that formed between Gracie and Asher. They were perfect, I enjoyed their connection and how they connected, and they definitely had chemistry, which resulted in an accidental pregnancy, which was done so well and was just perfect.

VERY CUTE

Combining all the holidays with a little surprise. Seeing Asher realize he is in love and happy about it. But my favorite part is him waiting in her house with the "eight" tests. Loved that and those two.
