HEROIN(e): A story of highs, lows, and the track marks in between

From Vegas neon to prison cells, from cracked sidewalks to courtroom victories, HEROIN(e) is the unflinching true story of one woman’s descent into addiction—and her fight to climb back out.

Jamie Hatfield was born into a world of glitz and trauma, privilege and pain, dysfunction masked in diamonds. As a teenager, she spiraled into a life of drugs, strip clubs, arrests, and heartbreak. Heroin stole nearly everything—her dreams, her dignity, even her role as a mother.

But this isn’t just a story about falling apart. It’s about what happens after.

Told in raw, vivid detail with no punches pulled, HEROIN(e) chronicles Jamie’s path from active addiction to long-term recovery. Through jail cells, halfway houses, relapses, and revelations, she rebuilds a life she thought was lost—piece by piece, day by day. With grit, grace, and dark humor, Jamie shares not just the scars, but the strength that came from surviving.

For anyone who’s ever felt broken, buried, or beyond saving—this book is for you.

Jamie was always fake her entire life so it was not surprising that her book was full of lies. A former las Vegas prostitute left out how horrible & controversial her recovery jobs have been. Jamie sexually harassed young men at freedom house while she was a counselor. Jamie also broke the law numerous times & was forced to resign. Her book is fantasy & she wasn't even sober during the writing of it.

Jamie Hatfield’s Heroin(e) is a raw, honest, and deeply human memoir that takes you on an emotional roller coaster. It does not sanitize addiction or overpromise redemption. It lays bare the reality of hope, failure, family strain, self-worth, and personal growth. Hatfield’s voice is unfiltered and authentic. This book is a powerful reminder that recovery and healing are never linear and injects humanity into the struggle of addiction. This is a must-read.
