I enjoyed this story. It was initially so heartbreaking to see the FL’s perspective. There are moments of humor with the characters, especially when the monsters show up. The attitudes of the people are so annoying and frustrating which speaks to the writers abilities to draw you into Izek’s and Ruby’s story.

Overall the story itself addresses so many real topics: eating disorders, CPTSD, familial abuse, attempted SA, bullying/othering. It doesn’t gloss over the realities and at the same time much of the writing and imagery is subtle so it doesn’t care over the whole plot. There’s definitely a slow healing theme as the series volumes progress.

Luego de mucho tiempo de evitarlo (y no por otra cosa que no fuera que simplemente no me llamaba la atención), 2025 fue el año de darle la oportunidad a los manwhas coreanos.

Qué decir. Me encantó la historia, los personajes, el conflicto, el romance y la forma en que está escrita y presentada la historia de Ruby. Me he alegrado, dolido, enojado y deseado que ella tenga su final feliz. Siento que en este momento el entretenimiento asiático está saturado del famoso “isekai” que da pie a tanto cliché y tantas historias repetidas con diferente título (por cierto, que barbaridad de largura con los títulos). Por casualidad me pude encontrar con una historia atrapante. Esto me ha hecho estar más abierta a leer manwhas, siempre y cuando llamen mi interés y sea una historia compatible a mis gustos. Por cierto, un puntazo al diseño artístico tan bonito, y que no decae sino que mejora conforme avanza la historia. Fantasía medieval de reencarnación tocando temas profundos como la depresión y sus consecuencias. Un súper acierto para mí.
