I love Anita’s book and this one was such a lovely delightful read.

I immediately warmed to Alyssa and the situations she found herself in. I also liked Devan as a character and the build of their relationship was perfectly written. I really wish Alyssa and Devan were my friends!

I loved Anita’s use of humour throughout the story and how they did “love tasks” which was perfect for Anita’s creative writing. Reading the book was fully immersive and captivating. It took me away from life situations into my own little love bubble.

The setting sounded gorgeous too and I am here for the blossom and Spring. The writing was descriptive but not in a domineering way so you could feel yourself there and the sense of community in a small town was an added pleasure to read.

Overall a fabulous read. This book will leave you full of warmth and hope of romance! Out on 1st April.

I can’t quite put into words how much I enjoy Anita’s books. The humour running through every page is so cleverly weaved into the story.

I loved Alyssa from the start and her character just grew and grew as the story progressed. I laughed with her, felt sorry for her and above all wanted a happy ever after for her.
Devan is a really likeable character, he comes across cool and fun, can their history really be what it seems? I did like how he developed throughout the book, but don’t want to give anything away!

What I love is that you can just loose yourself in Anita’s books, forget real life, forget everything that is happening around you, and just get totally absorbed by the characters and their shenanigans.

There’s some amazing characters throughout this one, including a rather important one called Pikachu and of course no review would be complete without mentioning Mrs Halfpenny, every town needs a Mrs Halfpenny!

I felt the use of technology was so important throughout this book, the author really shows just how useful it can be, but also the other side, the faceless side, the negative impact it can have. She really conveys how, if we let it, it can take over and manipulate us, but if we use it with care, it can be used along side real life, to enhance work and relationships.

There is such a sense of community throughout this book, yes of course you get that small town feel of everyone knowing everyone’s business, but all the characters are kind, sensitive, ready to champion anyone and above all offer an ear or a hot drink and cake at exactly the right moment.

The spicy scenes were tender and fun, sensual and loving. There was just the right amount and really fitted into the storyline.

This book will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy, hopeful and content.
It will make you want to put your phone down, take a step away from social media and all the pressures being so connected brings. It will make you want to take a breathe, sit in the sunshine and above all, get to know those people around you much more and open your heart to them, actually listen to what they have to say, not just assume what you think you know is correct.

So if you like to get lost within the pages of a book, want characters you will love and care for, this is the book for you.

I don’t read many romance novels but I watch a fair few Hallmark Christmas films. I’m always struck by the unrelenting cheerfulness of the female leads and the featured settings. So, when this novel opened with a cynical love coach and introduced Hartglove, a place voted not only the Most Loveless Town of the Year but also Least Cheerful Town Around, I was intrigued. Bring on the genre flip.

Alyssa is a love coach whose online profile has garnered thousands of followers and attracted an agent. But the carefully curated image isn’t entirely truthful. Alyssa doesn’t actually believe in romantic love since a devastating teenage break-up twelve years earlier.

Her agent gets her a job to road test publicly a love match app – in the grimly acclaimed Hartglove. She will be matched with a guy the app selects before they undertake seven tasks together. Problem is: Hartglove is the hometown she left for good after love of her life Devan broke her heart. An even bigger problem is: Devan is the owner of the love match app, determined to get the townsfolk back on track with their love lives. And the biggest problem of all: with no money to pay her rent and on the brink of being evicted, Alyssa can't turn down the job.

This is Anita Faulkner’s fourth novel and she’s establishing some trademarks for her writing:
• Vividly drawn secondary characters, many proudly running independent cafés and craft shops
• Quirky resident animals – peacocks, a ferret, a denim-clad cat and now a mouse named Pikachu
• Icons to delight Bookstagram – campervans, gingerbread, pumpkins and, this time, blossom
• Emphasis on the Com in RomCom – lots of saucy humour
• Romp in the Rom – spicy bits that have me, a delicate crime thriller reader, clutching my pearls
• Female leads on moving journeys of self-discovery
• Beautiful endings

Romantic Comedy fans are in for a laughter-filled, apple-blossom-scented treat.

This is an independent review of an early copy. With thanks to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity.

**★★★★★ | Cozy, Charming, and Full of Heart**

*Meet Me at Apple Blossom Lane* by Anita Faulkner is the kind of book that wraps around you like a warm spring day—bright, comforting, and impossible not to fall in love with.

From the very beginning, the story pulls you into the small-town charm of Hartglove, a place that feels so vivid and full of life you can practically walk its streets. The sense of community is one of the strongest elements, with a cast of characters who are quirky, supportive, and completely unforgettable.

Alyssa is such a compelling main character—flawed, guarded, and trying to navigate a life that doesn’t quite match the image she’s created. Watching her journey unfold, especially as she confronts her past and reexamines what love really means, adds so much emotional depth to the story.

And then there’s Devan… effortlessly likeable, layered, and the kind of character you can’t help but root for. The history between them adds tension and heart, making the romance feel meaningful and earned. Their dynamic strikes a perfect balance between humor, vulnerability, and genuine connection.

The writing is warm and engaging, with humor woven naturally throughout. It’s the kind of book that makes you smile one moment and feel deeply the next, all while keeping you completely immersed.

There’s also a thoughtful layer to the story, especially in how it explores the impact of social media and perception versus reality. It adds a modern touch without taking away from the cozy, feel-good atmosphere.

Overall, *Meet Me at Apple Blossom Lane* is a beautifully written, uplifting romance filled with heart, humor, and hope. It’s the perfect escape—a story that leaves you smiling, a little softer, and wishing you could stay in Hartglove just a bit longer.

This was such a cute and easy to follow read. From the very first page I was hooked and I read it in less than a day. I loved Alyssa's character and I wanted her to have her happy ending with Devin that she deserved. I also loved the small town place setting in the story. I have enjoyed the author's other book that I read and Meet Me At Apple Blossom Lane certainly didn't disappoint. It's the perfect spring time read. I can't recommend it enough. I look forward to reading more by the author.

You, Mrs Faulkner, have written another cracker of a book!
Filled with angst, romance, and that perfect hint of heat (well, actually, more spice!), it was a perfect beachside read!
Alyssa is an influencer and love coach, but her life gets turned upside down when a relationship ends, and her income dwindles as she has fewer couples to coach toward love.
She's a bit jaded about the L-word anyway, because life has thrown some real negatives her way, and as a result, all her relationships are tarnished.
A chance opportunity brings her back to her hometown, a quaint little village in the Cotswolds, Hartglove, a place she has tried her hardest to distance herself from, even changing her name to be a different person.
And here she is, now, there, immersed in her old life, but with a new alias.
Her task? To test-drive a new app that is the total opposite of her own business model, with the app finding you your ideal partner.
Does it work? Well, I won't tell you that, but what I will say is that she meets her BUM (you need to read to find out the acronym meaning!) and he is a blast from her past, and boy, has he grown into a fine man, Dylan is a GOD (Another acronym you need to read to understand!) and all the difficulties that ensue are rivetting!
I cannot finish this review without mentioning Pikachu, the little mouse who keeps her company, through almost the whole of the book. So cute!
An absolute cracker of a story, a wonderful book and honestly, one of my favourite feel-good reads so far this year!

"God, he was probably one of those guys who posed around communal changing rooms and dried his pubes with a hairdryer."

- Meet me at Apple Blossom Lane, by Anita Faulkner
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|| 🌶.5

Are you looking for a cosy romcom set between London and the Costwolds, with an influencer FMC trying to escape her past and a second chance at first love that seems like there would be no saving it? Well, look no futher than Apple Blossom Lane. This was such a fun, cute, and cosy read. Devan and Alyssia's story had me hooked from the moment Alyssia woke up from her sexy dream, and I have to say, I genuinely hated Devan at first; I was sure there was no way he was coming back from what he did. If I am honest, I might not have fully forgiven him- even if he does deserve it. We all like a man who makes a bad decision for the right reasons though, right?  You can decide! The whole story was a fun, wild ride made even more entertaining by the motley crew that made up the insane but lovable residents of Hartglove. Mrs Halfpenny was the gift that just kept giving- and I laughed out loud at many points. Overall, pick this up if you like:
❤️ Second chance romance
🤣 Laugh out loud moments
🌶 Cosy romance with mild spice
🏘Cosy village setting
⛺️ Forced proximity
👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Found family

Alyssa & Devan

Alyssa & Devan were childhood sweethearts. Friendships, love, ice cream & Apple Blossom Lane. But one night changed everything- and he broke her.

Alyssa lives in London as a Love Coach. With tons of IG followers, perfect curated posts, perfect outfits, perfect places.
The truth is- she’s broke. And hates everything she posts online.

An opportunity arises for Alyssa to go back home. She’s expected to promote an app- and learns that her childhood sweetheart is behind it.

Will Devan and Alyssa have a second chance? Will Alyssa learn that she can be truthful and still have a following?
And will Alyssa learn the truth about that torrid night years ago? What if everything isn’t what it seems?

Devan & Alyssa will have you smiling, laughing and crying as they work through their love tasks. Sometimes it’s okay to show the world the truth.

Thank You to Anita Faulkner, NetGalley and HQStories for this ARC read- to meeting you at Apple Blossom Lane and back- it was a sweet surprise.

Alyssa is down on her luck. Her hard worn career is spiralling out of control. It’s New Year’s Day and she is homeless and her relationship has ended. With no money either she finds herself renting a gritty flat for a week as that’s ok the money she has left. Posting a fake life on social media she paints an altogether different view of the world. She is a semi successful love coach to the world. In real life she’s jaded and after having her fingers burnt by her school sweetheart Devan and seeing her parents marriage exposed for all its faults she vows to never love again. When an app company books her for work in her old town she has no choice but to take the job on. Trouble is she isn’t really pink haired Alyssa but mousy haired Beryl, how long will she be able to stay incognito with social media attention due to the competition and her parents living in the village still…..?
This was great, funny, sweet and a great read.

🌸 Meet Me at Apple Blossom Lane 🌸
Is it a "Match" or a "Miss"? 📱💔
If you love a story where the chemistry is as sweet as spring blossoms but the tension is sharp enough to cut glass, grab a copy of Anita Faulkner’s latest!
The Vibe: Imagine being a professional Love Coach whose own life just hit “Unsubscribe." Alyssa is dumped, homeless and hiding it all behind a filtered Instagram life (we’ve all been there, right?). To save her career, she has to test a new matchmaking app... with the man who broke her heart years ago.
🍎 Why You’ll Fall for It:
* The Trope Trifecta: Second chances + "He fell first" + Forced proximity.
* The Setting: Apple Blossom Lane is the kind of quirky, cosy hometown you’ll want to move to immediately.
* The Steam: It’s got that perfect "sprinkling of spice" that keeps things interesting without losing the cosy heart of the story.
* The Conflict: Alyssa trying to prove she’s "thriving" to her ex while her world is actually crumbling, is equal parts hilarious and deeply relatable.

"Can a matchmaking app fix a heart that was broken over a decade ago?"
Perfect For Fans Of:
* The Yearning: If you like your heroes pining and your heroines stubborn.
* Small Town Charm: Think Gilmore Girls vibes but with more modern tech drama.
* Deep Secrets: The "devastating betrayal" in their past kept me turning pages late into the night!

I absolutely loved this book! If you're looking for a cute, cozy, heartwarming romance book, this is for you.

This book follows Alyssa Heart, a love coach who doesn't believe in love after a disastrous declaration of love when she was younger. With her career not going well, she agrees to go back to her hometown that she hasn't been to since that horrifying day, to test out a matchmaking app. She ends up being matched with the ex-boyfriend who broke her heart by getting her best friend pregnant. It turns out she doesn't have all the information, and Devan still holds a torch for her.

The characters in this book were all so interesting and loveable. I loved how everyone in the town was a community and a family who always supported each other. The whole premise of the book with the love tasks was very unique and creative. I loved how vivid the visuals were. Everything about this book was absolutely adorable. I will definitely be reading more of Anita's books in the future!

A love story that is here to stay blooming.
I knew I was gonna love this book! First, the cover is beautiful and the story continued blooming in every chapter so much that I couldn’t put it down.
We have all been Alyssa once in our life. I liked her a lot. It takes courage to leave and start a new life after a heartbreak, but it is also brave to confront your past. You’ll never know who can appear back to answer all your questions and help you get closure. She is a compelling character, but seeing her navigating her life in every chapter made the story emotional.
Devan is our male character, a good friend that we all want to have in our life. His love for Alyssa is so sweet and pure that is hard to stop reading. This book made me laugh, feel hopeful, happy and the ending… well, it is a love with an apple blossom scent after all.
Meet Me at Apple Blossom Lane is perfect for this Spring season.
This is the first book I read from this author and it won’t be the last.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! This story completely captured my heart.

I especially loved watching Alyssa’s evolution throughout the book. Seeing her work through past trauma and pain, and slowly break down the walls she had built to protect herself, was so powerful. There’s something incredibly special about rediscovering parts of yourself that you’ve kept hidden—and this story portrayed that so beautifully.

What made it even more meaningful was how love showed up in so many forms. Not just romantic love, but also family, friendship, hometown roots, and that deep sense of belonging. It felt like Alyssa was coming home in every possible way, and that journey was such a joy to read.

I also really enjoyed the way the tension between Alyssa and Devan gradually melted away. Watching them find their way back to each other—and back to the love they once had—felt natural, emotional, and deeply satisfying.

This entire story was just beautiful from beginning to end. I absolutely loved it and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Honest Review of ARC copy from NetGalley:

I adored this book, it’s the kind you pick up for one chapter and suddenly realize hours have passed. The authors humor runs through every page, making the whole story feel light, fun, and impossible to put down.

Devan is charming and intriguing, and I loved seeing his character unfold as the story progressed. Alyssa completely won me over from the start, and watching her grow throughout the story had me rooting for her the whole way.

The small-town community is full of memorable characters, Mrs. Halfpenny is a standout, and there’s even a very important character named Pikachu! The story also touches on the role of technology in our lives in a thoughtful way, balancing both the good and the not-so-good.

With lovable characters, a cozy community, and a sweet romance with just the right amount of spice, this book is warm, uplifting, and so much fun to read. 📚✨

Thank you to NetGalley and the author, Anita Faulkner, for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’m not usually the biggest fan of second-chance romances, but I didn’t really mind it here. It was a sweet and easy read, and the cozy spring vibes definitely carried the story for me.

That being said, I do wish there was a bit more depth to the relationship. Everything felt like it fell into place a little too perfectly, which made it harder for me to feel fully invested. I wanted more tension and emotional buildup between the characters instead of things resolving so smoothly.

I did really enjoy Alyssa’s character arc, especially seeing her prioritize herself and what actually makes her happy rather than trying to fit into what the influencer lifestyle “should” look like. That part felt realistic and refreshing.

Overall, it’s a cute, cozy read—definitely something to pick up if you’re in the mood for a light spring romance

Meet Me at Apple Blossom Lane is packed with warmth and a sense of community that had me feeling the love blooming from the pages. Those may seem like somewhat hackneyed phrases, but I can promise you, it’s impossible not to fall in love with the village and villagers of Hartglove. Anita’s innate sense of fun is on full display as we’re introduced to some of the best characters ever assembled in a single book.

Alyssa was an interesting character as she worked as a love coach despite no longer believing in love. However, she had been successful in the past, so clearly not hampered by her lack of belief. Living her life on Instagram, she had created a false impression of herself, suggesting she was a clean-eating, outdoorsy, health-nut with answers to everything. The reality fell far short of the projected image by a country mile. I liked Alyssa from the start, though my feelings grew warmer as her story progressed. It was clear to me that she was in denial and shielding herself from real feelings while attempting to protect her heart from further pain.

Devan has leapt straight into my list of book boyfriends. He was almost too good to be true, but as each part of his story was revealed, it was obvious that he was genuinely one of life’s good guys. Of course, his past decisions had caused Alyssa’s heartbreak, but once the full facts were revealed, it all made sense.

As a lover of tech, I was intrigued by the idea of a ‘love app’ yet equally grateful to be happily married and not in need of virtual intervention. That said, I am fully in support of anything that helps people find joy in life.

Anita’s characters are always quirky and perfectly developed, and Meet Me at Apple Blossom Lane has some of the loveliest, most entertaining people I have ever encountered. From the hilarious T-shirts to the reason Alyssa was estranged from her own parents, there are plenty of smiles and laughter along the way. I absolutely loved my visit to the Cotswolds and highly recommend picking up a copy. I defy you not to smile as you turn the pages.

🌸 Netgalley ARC Review 🌸

What a treat Meet Me at Apple Blossom Lane is!

Alyssa’s life feels like its stalling - her seemingly safe bet boyfriend has just proposed...which was not what she saw in their future. And all of a sudden she’s single again, homeless and her hard earned love coaching career feels like it is slipping away.

And then an unexpected offer pulls her back to Hartglove. But that’s where the man who broke her heart and made her flee her home town all those years ago.

Can she return and show everyone that she’s a different person now - that Devan doesn’t haunt her dreams? Her career depends on her being able to do just that!

I really enjoyed this book - it was swoony, funny, and had a dash of spice. I loved getting to know what made Alyssa tick and see her grow and develop throughout the book. It’s a fab contemporary romance. 🌸 🩷 🌸

I liked this book, the running theme of always being on the side of love was nice. A whole town now dedicating themselves to showing love and feeling love.

The back story of Alyssa was interesting, and the curve ball she is thrown with Devan was cute, I especially liked how the whole town knew who she was but pretended not to just to help her feel more at ease.

I liked the idea of the 7 love tasks when trying to get to know a new partner, and seeing various members of the town undertaking the tasks, that not only be fitted the new couple but spread to the rest of the people in the town. The twist at the end was nice, not wanting to give anything away, but I liked how Alyssa dealt with it.

A cute love story for a couple finding love again and a town falling in love with itself.

Firstly, I would like to thank NetGalley, the author and publishers for allowing me to read this story before its release date.

I have to admit it did take a while for me to get into this, but how I wished I lived in that cute little town. It felt warm and cozy and as nosy as the neighbours were, they have your back! As they say “it takes a village…”

I don’t want to give too much away, but there was a cheeky little twist in this book and it wasn’t who I thought it was!

Devan was Alyssa’s boyfriend but things didn’t work out and she’s never forgotten him.
When Alyssa returns home to her hometown for work imagine her surprise when Devan is who she is going to be working with.
Flirty and funny with a bit of spice!
The sparks flying between Alyssa and Devan were strong enough to light a bonfire, they were so hot together.
Set in a wonderful community setting with quirky but likeable characters.

I adored Alyssa and Devan’s story. Alyssa is such a sweet heroine – a love coach whose carefully curated life starts to unravel in funny and unpredictable way. Watching her return to her hometown of Hartglove and come face to face with the man who broke her heart was done in such a cute way (no spoilers but the "balloon" 😱).

4.5 stars. When will good reads allow partial stars?
Another different style. A love coach who doesn’t believe in love because her heart was broken at 19. Down on her luck she agrees to pit her wits against a new dating app “appy together” devised by the man who broke her heart. She is forced to face her past and her home town and has quite a voyage of discovery. It took me a while to warm to it but in the end I enjoyed it.

This was such a cute and heart-warming second chance romance that is perfect for spring! I loved the small-town setting and really liked getting to know Alyssa and Devon.

Alyssa is an interesting main character. She has trouble believing in love due to her past but spends her time as a love coach and faking her life on social media, all while her life falls apart around her. I loved the idea of her testing the app and loved that she matched with Devon. While the miscommunication is a huge part of this story, I didn't find it as frustrating as I normally would. It was dealt with well and didn't take over the whole book.

Meet Me At Apple Blossom Lane is a funny, uplifting and steamy romance that also reminds us that its okay to put our phones down and spend some time doing things you enjoy and with people you love.
