Prior to his first professional work, Tynion was a student of Scott Snyder's at Sarah Lawrence College. A few years later, he worked as for Vertigo as Fables editor Shelly Bond's intern. In late 2011, with DC deciding to give Batman (written by Snyder) a back up feature, Tynion was brought in by request of Snyder to script the back ups he had plotted. Tynion would later do the same with the Batman Annual #1, which was also co-plotted by Snyder. Beginning in September 2012, with DC's 0 issue month for the New 52, Tynion will be writing Talon, with art by Guillem March. In early 2013 it was announced that he'd take over writing duties for Red Hood and the Outlaws in April.

Tynion is also currently one of the writers in a rotating team in the weekly Batman Eternal series.

Exquisite Corpses #4 is a brutal, character-driven slice of horror comics. The showdown between the Fox Mask Killer and Lady Carolina explodes in a car dealership, balancing gore and psychological tension with a terrifying intimacy. Gorham and Walsh’s art grounds the carnage in vivid, unsettling detail, making every panel feel both stylish and raw. This issue keeps the series’ momentum high, pushing the characters into darker, more dangerous territory while keeping the tension razor sharp.

This series is continuing to deliver and it isn’t slowing down!! We immediately start this issue with part of the clean up crew, as he is forced to go over to the burger baby play zone to confirm the body count as Rascal Randy disabled the cameras so they wouldn’t see him without his costume on. But after that he racked up 7 grisly kills for New Jersey. But the primary focus of this issue is what goes down at Big Bruce Auto Sales as they fail to land the big fish that is Lady C. Using her beeper to locate her cache she ends up deciding on an old beater as the car of her choice, all the while Bruce’s wife and kids are waiting in a car off to the side trying to hurry him. It’s so painful watching this scene play out with how desperate Bruce is for her money. But as we look in on Bruce’s inpatient wife, suddenly we see a visitor walk up to their car…the fox masked killer! She walks up to one of the kids in the back seat and compliments him on his Fox toy, mentioning that her daughter had one just like it, but then they redirect their attention to the mom in the drivers seat as they tell them to leave. She’s confused at first, but one look at the sword being unsheathed and she high tails it out of there.

Lady C has now successfully found in cache in the back of one of the vans and now needs to get to it, so she asks Bruce to open the trunk for it. As he does a trap goes off that completely sliced his hand off! Seems that someone left a surprise for her that she “regifted.” But now Lady C has her crossbow and is ready to get rolling. That’s when the fox masked killer steps out to show herself. As you could have guessed there is a lot of resentment between the two of them as Lady C tried really hard to get the fox masked killer as their own before. And it seems they tried to do it by killing her daughter. The fight is pretty unfair in the best possible ways, as the crossbow is a long range weapon…the fox masked killer refuses to let lady c get any distance whatsoever. The fight finally comes to an end when the two trade final blows. Lady C sends a bolt into the fox masked killer’s shoulder, and the fox masked killer slices her crossbow in half, sending a sharp cut down Lady C in the process! She now has no chance of winning the game. As it turns out the fox masked killer never had any intention of directly killer her, as she sees Lady C as dead inside already, so instead she took her out of the game. So we really don’t know where lady c may pop back up next looking for revenge using any method she can.

Elsewhere, we get a quick look in on the ambulance driver as she struggles to get ahold of anyone and struggles over the death of her partner. But suddenly she stands tall and hers back in the drivers seat, she knows she can’t bring him back but she can head out and find out what is going on. I wish her the best, please done die. Additionally Audrey was also able to survive the fight between lady C and fox mask by staying out of the way and getting Bruce to one of their most expensive cars to quickly drive away in. She promises to get him to the police station, but after that she is going after her kid. As the issue comes to an end we get another look at one of their operators of the game still cleaning up the mess at burger baby. But as the moping continues he is suddenly surrounded by razor wires he knows will dice him up if he takes on step. He has found himself inside one of Recluse traps, but he stays calm. He calls out that if he is hurt it means immediate disqualification. Recluse is standing right on the edge of the trap, and doesn’t remember any of that being explained as one of the rules. But the operator understands that recluse is a strategist and is playing for the endgame, especially as he already found 4 of their traps setup at different cache sites. One of them was the trap set off at Lady C’s cache, and it appears there are traps at the sword, knife, and fire sites. But the operator really questions of they are willing to chance a win based on the rules being explained to them. Recluse doesn’t take that chance and pulls the trap away, but promises of he finds himself in another trap…they won’t provide a helping hand.

Audrey, desperate to return home for Halloween with her son, finds herself caught in a savage, personal battle at Big Bruce’s car lot, turning a local grudge match into a blood-soaked showdown. The issue deepens the lore by focusing on the dynamic between Lady Carolina and Fox Mask Killer, two killers with complex histories, and introduces new facets to the ongoing game, including heated behind-the-scenes rivalries and the mysterious cleaner.

It was ok.

Better than the last issue. Kind of weird moments with two woman(who we hardly know) fight over some past history between them. It took me right out of the story. Plus the amount of Toxic Femininity is thick. Its an ok book though.

The art in this book has become the calling card. I love seeing the different artists put their spin on the killers and engineer some cool fight scenes. I definitely think we’ll see more of Lady Carolina…

Big Bruce is a POS! He got what he deserved and Lady C and The Fox must have been lovers. I’m eating this series up! I have so much anxiety right now

This series reads like watching a slasher movie. So far the characters, at least the game players, are all very interesting.
