With nuclear tensions rising, an FBI agent and a KGB operative must solve the murder—before the ice melts…and war ignites. From SOMETHING EPIC and BLOOD COMMANDMENT creator SZYMON KUDRANSKI comes the must-read thriller of the year.
Honestly from the amount of talking that every character is saying here, I really was blinded on wtf was happening here tbh. It’s pretty disappointing like I really wanted to get invested in it but the characters were talking too much for me unfortunately….
Physiological thriller similar to that of “The Wicker Man” or “True Detectives” set during the Cold War.
It gives a great insight into how covert intelligence operations from governments happen behind the scenes to avoid tensions, while layered on top of a murder mystery.
Szymon touching on the strain of relationships that many service men and women sacrifice for their career/protecting their line of work.
Politically heavy, with a lot of referencing to war & communism. Potentially caused too much dialogue, taking away from the imagery and story.
Szymon Kudranski’s noir style of artwork complements the story by setting a darker & gritty feel to the storyline.
Overall a solid effort to produce both an engaging storyline and art of this calibre solo.
Thank you NetGalley & Image Comics for the chance to read and review this title.
Dobre otwarcie serii. Dobre to!
Its a decent book. Very dialogue heavy but you get your moneys' worth. The plot is engaging. It did put me to sleep at one point but stick with it. Its an interesting book that is unique. Give it a chance. I will definitely be reading issue #2.
