M.D. Engel writes at the intersection of science fiction and romance, leaning into everyday conversational tones, familiar tropes, and flawed but lovable characters. Because let’s be honest, not every book needs to be deep to be enjoyable.
By day, they work at a fast-paced start-up, which makes stress management a must. To stay balanced, M.D. Engel turns to reading, gaming, physical fitness, and now, writing. Their stories pull from real-life experiences and are filled with the humor and heart of everyday moments. At the end of the day, they write for one simple reason: fun.
Such a cute charming love story with likable characters! Readers should just be aware that gambling and two truths and a lie are recurring elements—that’s the only reason I’m at four stars instead of five. Otherwise, this was a wonderful read by a wonderful author!
Who knew a short novel would put me in a reading slump?? I mean it most affectionately because this novella was simply delightful! The characters? The vibes? The dynamic? 1000/10. I laughed, I got emotional. Most importantly - I had all the butterflies. These two are perfect for each other. And I want to be a part of their friend group sooo much.
