Good book written by a grandpa to his granddaughter. Wish he could have put more information about the medical side, rather than his work schedule or who he touched elbow's with. Wish he would have put some info on his wife (how they met, what HER take on this was). I enjoyed it.
Dear Zoe was my last book of 2007, and it was a good one to end the year on. Written by her grandfather, Zoe is addressed in a series of letters before and immediately after her premature birth. At times he can get a little too sentimental, but who can blame him---it's his tiny granddaughter. This book can be easily read in a day, and it will leave you with a tiny flame of hope for days to come.
Christopher's primary nurse lent us this book; the author wrote it for his 24-weeker granddaughter. It meant so much to us to read this book...and gave us the hope that none of the few other books out there could give us.
True story from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Zoe is born at 24 weeks and spends her first weeks at spectrum health neo natal unit. Her grandpa writes letters to her and in this book he shares those letters
