Teniece Wiley didn’t come to Blake University to fall in love, she came to create a better future. Between juggling a full course load, working for scraps at Zavion’s Deli, and the weight of raising her little brother while their mother slips deeper into addiction, Teniece is focused on academic excellence; but love is one subject she’s never dared to study. When she agrees to star in For the Love of Learning, a reality show about love on a HBCU campus, she finds herself entangled with a lesson she never studied for, Talon Coltrane.
Born into Coltrane Media Group and groomed for power, Talon’s life has been on display since he could form sentences. Beneath the designer clothes and charm, is a young man suffocating under his mother’s control; and a legacy he never asked to inherit. When he’s casted in For the Love of Learning to “fix his public image” he plans to suffer through it. What he doesn’t plan, is to fall for Teniece – a girl who could care less about the cameras, the fame, or his last name.
What starts as scripted chemistry becomes dangerously real, and Teniece and Talon’s made-for-TV romance becomes something more; until a humiliating exchange leaves Teneice shattered. Now, with the world watching, she’s forced to choose between vanishing from the spotlight or rewriting the narrative on her own terms.
Two students from different worlds, Teniece and Talon must decide if they will let their pasts define them or tear up the script and write a new ending.

Nice very nice
Omg this standalone is so lit. U are right. Two opposite can attack. It's like he said stuff before he got to know her, and then his mom took it way too far. But she learned from her mistakes and had to put her big girl panties on and get her brother. She had her brother all the way what she made she sent him so he could eat and get the stuff he needed. I'm glad Ol Boy told his mom like it is and broke from under her. She didn't mean him no good. I'm glad he got humbled and let it go and started fresh. I would love to have an update on them to see if they can go farther this time since they are adults now. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read .

Protect Your Peace and PuSay
This book was powerful and there was a lot to take away from it!!!…
Crazy how a girl who could barely feed herself had such an impact on the person that was struggling with his own decisions about his life and where he was going!!!…
Teniece showed how you can turn your pain into purpose and I loved how she remained humbled and didn’t sell herself short!!!…
I was glad that Talon finally made a decision for himself and didn’t seek validation from his mother!!!…His mother definitely had a large bank account, but was very miserable!!!…I hope their father protects his little sister better than he did Talon!!!…
Mazarin was anAMAZING FRIEND and Teniece’s biggest cheerleader!!!…

Absolutely Amazing Read
Taniece was phenomenal! Life may have thrown her a few curve balls, but she bounced right back into being the best version of herself every time! Her main focus was taking care of her brother. Talon needed a backbone. He wanted Taniece the first time he laid eyes on but, he couldn't get out of his own way! Not knowing when to be honest about everything will cause you to fumble in life, and that is exactly what he did. They both became who they intended. It took a little longer for Talon. Awesome read!

Talon and Teniece’s book was wild. They both are on Talon’s family reality show as a couple and they start to develop feelings for each other but Talon made a stupid bet with his roommate about sleeping with Teniece. Talon ends up taking Teniece’s virginity and then she finds out about the bet. She was devastated but she turned her pain into purpose and she went viral. I like the fact that she always took care of her brother and looked out for Mazarine her best friend who encouraged her not to let heartbreak define her.

Amazing!!
This book was amazing. Even though it is fictional, it can resonate with people in real life. I love both messages that the book gave. Every one needs a friend like Mazarine. She made sure that Teniece did not give on her purpose of being attending Blake University, when she wanted to throw in the towel. The two of them had a real friendship.

I have been having a time with the students of Blake University! This story included lots of real-life challenges. FMC Teniece took her heartbreak and turned it into a positive. MMC Talon had a lot of soul searching to do. Attempting to please his family while making long-lasting mistakes. He, in the end, finds his purpose as well. Loved this read.

Great read!!
This book didn’t end the way I expected, but it was so much better!! I’m glad that Teneice got the ending she deserved. It definitely left me wanting more of Talon though. I was actually rooting for him lol. Overall great read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Loved it
I loved the lessons in this book. Teniece and Talon came a long way. I am happy that Talon learned from his mistakes and stood up to his mom. I hope things work out between Teniece and Talon. Great Read
