Wie immer sehr süß, aber da ich keine Ahnung mehr habe was in den vorigen Bänden passiert ist, werde ich diese auf jeden Fall nochmal lesen bevor ich den nächsten anfange 😌

Review for the complete series

Sugar Soldier is a great series if you enjoy cute shoujo fluff. The characters are all likeable, the romance is sweet and largely drama-free with both leads treating each other sweetly. There are nice friendships and family relations that don't fall short either. The art is quite typical shoujo but very pretty, definitely one of Sakai's best art-wise.

Although this series does delve into some more serious themes - child abandonment, terminal illness, sibling rivalry and even an implied sexual assault - I found this to be an incredibly light series. It's great as it gives it a nice wholesome feeling without having to over complicate things. But it also means there's no true conflict to overcome which means the series bumbles along a little bit. This is by no means a bad thing as it'll be perfect if you truly just want a cute high school romance with friendships, but it won't pack the same punch as some more complex series. I definitely would recommend for fans of the genre though.

Es ist soweit Makoto und Shun haben ihr erstes Date. Fast hätte es jedoch nicht stattgefunden, weil Makoto sich zu sehr übernommen und kurz davor Fieber bekommen hat. Bis Shun ihr spontan das Geschenk vorbei bringen wollte und sie im selben Moment aus dem Zimmer trat. Makotos Mutter konnte nicht glauben, dass der perfekte Shun der Freund von Makoto und nicht von Rika ist. Es gab sogar eine kleine Auseinandersetzung und letzten Endes sind sie doch zu ihrem Date „geflohen“.

In diesem Band dreht es sich jedoch ein wenig mehr um Makotos große „perfekte“ Schwester, Rika. Hier bekommen wir ein paar Einblicke in ihrem Liebesleben. Sie selbst ist Model und alle erwarten von ihr, dass ihr Partner ebenso Model sein sollte. (So wie ihre Mutter dachte, dass Shun ihr Freund wäre, weil er optisch eher zu ihr passt) Tatsächlich hat sie auch gerade etwas mit einem am laufen, jedoch ohne jegliche Gefühle für ihn. Diese empfindet sie eher für jemanden, der genau das Gegenteil ist. Doch letzten Endes siegt doch immer die wahre Liebe. Ich fand die Story einfach so cute!

Oh, caspita, non mi aspettavo mica di dare ben quattro stelline al settimo volume di una serie. Invece questo se le merita proprio tutte.

Il volume è occupato in larga parte dalla storia d'amore di Rika, innamorata - ricambiata - di un fotografo alle prime armi.

La parte finale, invece, mostra i sentimenti speciali che Shirayuki nutre per Uki.
