“TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF AN INCREDIBLE CATHOLIC CONVERSION STORY” (Kindle Online Review)“USED BY LOCAL PARISH AND PARENTS MENTAL HEALTH GROUPS!” BEST SELLER!HEALING COMES FROM MANY PLACES! NOT ONLY MEDICINE! But from family, from friends, and from faith. Textbooks and pastors can’t give you this perspective. What happens when faith and the medical community work simultaneously? In this engaging story you'll read how this young man worked through the obstacles. "An insightful look at bipolar through an intelligent, honest Christian lens.""RECOMMENDED FOR THERAPISTS, SPIRITUAL DIRECTORS, FAMILY MEMBERS!Squall is a rough but readable journey through faith and the challenges of emotional illness. In this very personal story people of faith will benefit from learning what the medical community offered, and the medical community will see all that faith accomplished. This story intelligently speaks to both audiences. NOW AVAILABLE ON KINDLE UNLIMITED!Squall details two hospitalizations (one lasting nearly two months) and a first and costly wrong diagnosis. The author's inpatient observations and journal excerpts here are insightful. Overcoming bipolar is difficult and quite different from other mental illnesses."BRAVELY TOLD WITH AN APPRECIATION OF MENTAL HEALTH FIELD. STILL THE AUTHOR FINDS HEALING IN MULTIPLE PLACES!!"The author writes with a half "Talk faith to the average doctor and you'll likely have your meds adjusted!" Some will find this journey too faith-based, but here is a writer who bravely covers both faith and mental illness with honesty and insight. He offers some interesting biographical information both before and after his worst episodes. It is enough to ask someone to share the details of an embarrassing illness and a measure of their personal beliefs, but this writer is more courageous than that. He borrows on the template of AA or another 12-step program. He calls on help from above and works hard to restore his relationships.SOME STUDIES SHOW THAT MARRIAGE TO A BIPOLAR PERSON HAS A 90% FAILURE RATE. DESPAIR CAN ALSO BE A PROBLEM. Read how he succeeds well here too! Perhaps faith takes over where medicine leaves off. This riveting biography and dramatic first-hand account of a young man's battle with mental illness (bipolar) is exacerbated further by his strong desire to find a working, authentic expression of the Catholic faith. Hired by a large advertising agency before he even graduated college, you'll read how this promising future of his was tragically upended.A FAMOUS CELEBRITY AND A MISSIONARY WITH A DARING HISTORY REACH OUT TO HIM. With the grace of God, no doubt, and some determination, he ends up with some surprise victories and notable accomplishments. Anyone who has to navigate these waters must read this story.SOME WILL BENEFIT FROM HIS STRATEGIES AND COPING SKILLS FOR SUCCESSFULLY RE-ENTERING EVERYDAY LIFE.

I recommend this book for mental health professionals, directors of religious Ed, and counsellors and family members-- Though this is primarily a faith story, this writer smartly looks for answers in all the right places. This book confronts emotional illness head on, and the result is a happy family life. He bucks the odds in many ways. A famous celebrity and a brave young world-traveling woman add some intrigue.
