In this third installment of The Shadow Series, Alekxander is faced with an unimaginable reality. His mate has been taken— and this time, he isn’t there to protect her. Desperate and running out of places to search, he turns to the one thing his kind has spent lifetimes shunning. Will the price he pays to bring her back be worth it in the end? Or will the darkness rising within him cost everything?
Wow! Katherine has really upped her game in this book!
First of all, the story has only gotten better. I could not put this down, I sacrificed my sleep to read longer (and I have a toddler so sleep is sacred)!
I loved getting more of Alek’s POV and learning more about his world.
The story, the plot, holy smokes!
Also, the spelling, grammar, editing issues that were very present in the first couple books were not at all present in this one! There was, I think, one chapter where a paragraph was repeated with slightly different writing, but that didn’t bother me or take me out of the story one bit.
Seriously, this book was incredible and I’m mad it’s over! I NEED to know what happens next!
Too many different names I was confused who was who. Also, I feel like I read the same thing about FMC being kidnapped and tortured and then being on the ship in almost every fantasy book series. 🤷🏻♀️

First off - Riven infuriates me with how stubborn she is lol. I get it, it’s justified (don’t come after me keyboard warriors). I’m glad that they finally came back together at about 90% … sigh. When is the next one coming out again?! 😅
