Is it possible for Harlow Wynn to “have it all?” With grit, determination and perseverance, she’s banking on the answer being yes.
Every series Hope Callaghan writes is a blockbuster!! Wynn Harbor Inn is right up there with my favorites! This new series could go on as long as Millie's, Gloria's and Carlita's series have. If you haven't read any other of Hope's series you're in for a real treat and some of the very best cozy stories written!!
Each character is written in a way that you feel like you are reading about one of your best friends. As you get to know the characters you become invested in their life. To someone who isn't a voracious reader, you will not understand how caught up in their lives you get. Also each location the book is set in is so real and discriptive that it feels like your right there at that moment in time. Lots of authors can't give you all that but Hope Callaghan does.
Wynn's of Change which is set on Mackinaw Island in Michigan's Lake Huron between the upper & lower peninsula's. Mackinaw Island is like stepping back in time, there are no gas vehicles permitted. If you don't go by horse and wagon/buggy or bicycle, you are getting there on your own two feet. It is absolutely beautiful every season of the year. It is definitely a vacationer's dream.
Harlow Wynn was born and raised there. Her family owns Wynn Harbor Inn. It, unfortunately burned to the ground and Harlow's Mom was trapped and died in the fire. Harlow had blamed her Dad, since the arsonist was not found. Harlow a beautiful, talented model and mega star left the island vowing to never return again. That was all explained in book one. After her Dad and best friend Eryn helped her recover from a tragic car accident, Harlow realized what she missed most in her life was her family and being home on the Island.
At the start of Wynn's of Change, Harlow was back at work in Vancouver finishing up in her current movie, she was so exhausted and just wanted to go home to Mackinaw. The fact that she had to see her soon to be ex-husband with his mistress Jillian, upset her each day. Not from jealousy but because she had been so blind to how ruthless and uncaring Robert her manager/husband was. Her Aunt Birdie and her best friend Eryn had come to see her last day of shooting and were flying back with her. Robert had agreed to split everything down the middle so she was anxious to get her divorce over quickly or would she? You need to read Wynn's of Change to see if something might come up to stop the divorce, her acting career and her home she so badly wanted on Mackinaw Island..... This excellent third book in the series brings new challenges, surprise encounters and great enlightenment, it is a must read!!
Hope Callaghan is a gifted storyteller who wraps you up in her characters and involves you in a tale that keeps you coming back for more.
In book 3, we catch up with Harlow Wynn, famous actress recovering from a terrible car accident and returning to the movie set to finish a movie she's contracted to do. Her recover, though difficult, is nearly complete and she faces the challenge of the cameras with determination, knowing that once the filming is complete, she can move forward with her divorce from Robert, her husband and manager who has been unfaithful and absent during her recovery!
With the movie complete, Harlow is able to return to her beloved Mackinac Island to restart her life and make some major decision on her life's direction. Primarily, she is determined to discover the cause of the fire that destroyed the family inn and took the life of her mother. If the cause was indeed arson, Harlow was determined to learn who was at fault.
This story and the friendships made feels like a warm hug as you're reading and when the story ends, you anxiously await book 4!
A cozy mystery series with a famous Michigan setting - Mackinac Island and connection to the Easton Island Family Saga series. Mackinac Island hasn’t lost its magic, it sparkle, to be home. Wynns of Change is a page turning read with relatable characters: Harlow, her best friend Jillian, her father David Wynn, Aunt Birdie and the Magnificent Mackies.
The Inn FIRE affected Harlow and her father in many ways. Destroyed so many of their dreams and created heartbreak. As Harlow continues to investigate her mother’s death and her father adds to his recollection of what he remembered, will Harlow solve the mystery. With help from family and the Magnificent Mackies, Harlow takes control of her life and rids herself from her money grabbing, cheating, despicable husband Robert Barbetz. Lots of foreshadowing for events to come in Book 4 Winter Wonderland. Recipe for Mackies Molasses Cookies included.
A good story with interesting characters and a lovely locale.

The story of Harlow Wynn continues with the end of her contracted movie. She returns to Mackinac Island and to her family and new friends. Deciding to make this her home base she's interested in buying property and finds the perfect place. I look very forward to reading more stories about Harlow Wynn and her future. There is always a recipe at the end of the books I have read by Ms. Callaghan and this is the first time I've made something before the ending of a book. The Molasses cookie recipe was very good!
I'm so enjoying this series! Harlow's character is still dealing with the bad boy ex-husband, but no doubt she will stay strong and not give in to his tricks! Can't wait for the next book in this series, to continue following the Wynn family's adventures! I'd like to see the Wynn and Eastons interact! Hurry up, April 2026 and give us the next in this series!
I’m so glad that I was able to find this series. These books are truly what life is about. The characters in this series are so realistic to me and how my life was in my younger days. I Loved the twists and turns they take and how much they make you realize how life should be. I highly recommend this series. They are Sad, Fun, Funny and very educational. Thank you Hope Callaghan.
I absolutely love the new series and can't wait for your book. I love all your book books. I have never enjoyed reading so much, doesn't matter which series it is, they are the best. Looking forward to your next release. Thank you for being you. I hope the storms have left you safe and dry end without damage. Take care and write write write.
The next novella in the series. While a brief recap is given, I strongly suggest reading the books in order. This edition finds us with Harlow almost fully recovered and able to shoot the movie. Work finished, she returns to her beloved Wynn Harbor to rest. This episode also finalizes the break with her husband . . . almost. More to come in the next installment.
I am happy to continue the Wynn family saga. Could an actor or an actress really settle down in a small town? Will they finally find what caused the fire at the inn that killed her mother? How will her soon to be ex husband try to make her life miserable? All questions for the next book.
A quick, easy read that shows progress for Harlow both professionally and personally. It's nice that she keeps hoping there is something redeeming about her husband. There are just times though when you need to face reality and move on. I just don't trust him to go easily to the horizon. Looking forward to book 4 - next year.
I like these books. They are as good as the Easton Island books. I just wish they were longer. I cannot wait to see the answer to the mystery of her mom's death. I hope it is revealed in the next book and we do not Havre to wait for another book. But I am enjoying both books.
A great third book in this series! Harlow is recovered and getting back to normal, filming, etc. She’s also figured out Robert’s game and is getting that divorce! I love following the characters in the series, and their complicated lives. I received a free advance copy of this book and write this review voluntarily.
Harlow Wynn, the movie star, is coming back home after some difficult life altering decisions. Her father, aunt, friends- old and new- are helping her find herself again, live, breathe, or even perhaps love? Heartwarming saga continues
This author never ceases to amaze me with her writing. The Wynn Harbor Inn series was a very enjoyable read. The characters all come alive to give you a glimpse into their daily lives. The friendship, compassion, love and drama make the book hard to put down.
Harlow Wynn continues to make changes and reclaim her life. The opposing characters a described as flawed, no unnecessarily evil. The investigation into her mother's death is just beginning.
I thoroughly enjoyed the newest addition to Harlow's story. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series. I have now read all of Hope Callaghan's books and she is still one of my favorite authors.
Harlow and her family friends are what REAL FRIENDS, are. Loving the characters who are there for Harlow. The controlling self centered husband deserves to lose everything
Great newer series which is mostly centered on Mackinaw Island- love this place! Fun characters- focus on family, true friendships & always a bit of mystery. Can’t wait for the next one- a very quick but fun read.
