Stephanie Hudson is a #1 Amazon bestselling Author. She had dreamed of being a writer ever since her obsession with reading books at an early age. What first became a quest to overcome the boundaries set against her in the form of dyslexia, has turned into a life's dream.
Afterlife is the first book in the series of 12 books, with the story of Keira and Draven becoming ever more complicated in a world that sets them miles apart. The Transfusion Saga will also be a 12 book series once book 12 is released in May 2021. Other spin -off books and series are also available with lots more planned.
When not writing, Stephanie enjoys chatting with her fans and spending time with her friends. Being with her loving family as much as she can including her wonderful daughter Ava, sons Jack and Halen and supportive husband and personal muse Blake, who is there for her no matter what.
The Triple Goddess had the best story so far, with all the focus on Lucius and his band of merry demons. Unfortunately, all the same previous issues continue: page after page of needless descriptions that I skip past, and tons of misspellings and errors.
Although this is a 12-book series ( !!! ), I'm taking a break now that I've finished the first three. I need to read some edited books for a change.
BOOK REVIEW – The Triple Goddess (Afterlife Saga #3) – Stephanie Hudson
I’m still ‘Craving the Drave’, but… ‘Lovin’ the Luc’
Yes, loyalties have been tested and boundaries crossed in this thrilling new third instalment of the Afterlife saga.
Please excuse me while I just pick my jaw up off the floor and try to compose myself after what has just been another truly exceptional book journey, administered by the incredible talent that is, Stephanie Hudson. Girl, I want to hi-jack your brain, crawl inside and set up house!
To deliver a series that incorporates the full complexity of a paranormal world with characters that breathe takes a work of genius, and wow – does she know how to deliver. Her writing flows with artistic flair as her words paint pictures of a place that has started to feel like home.
*
In The Triple Goddess we embark on a new journey with Keira, as she is captured by Carrick (the Harbringer of Death) and delivered into the hands of the enemy, Lucius – The Vampire King.
Guarded in the confines of a large hidden mountain retreat in Germany, Kiera believes her mortality hangs in the balance, as she plays yet another pawn in this game of control between Dominic Draven, her one true love, and Lucius, the king of the Vampires, as he barters her life for a priceless relic that rightfully belongs to him.
Grieving the loss of her family, Draven and her home, Kiera finds an unlikely companion in the form of Pip, a mischievous little Imp that takes a keen interest in attracting trouble.
After spending nights at the VIP table at Transfusion by Lucius’ side, Keira has no choice but get thrown into a darker side of the world she has been plunged into and starts to question her sanity when Pip calls her friend and hostile conditions gradually transform into familiarity as Lucius and his surprisingly loyal council show signs of leniency and support.
As captivity progresses into protection when another demon tries to stake his claim on Kiera – the Electus, Lucius has to make a crucial decision, but not before confessing some untold truths. As their connection strengthens, Kiera starts to question Draven and the actions of his past and learns that everything may not be as it once seemed.
However ‘fraternising with the enemy’ comes with its own set of consequences, when a face from the past puts Kiera’s life in further jeopardy, and with Draven hot on Lucius’ heels to get his chosen back, it seems everyone wants a piece as Kiera fights for unity and survival.

Draventies, be prepared for our big man to take a little backseat in this 3rd instalment as this is undeniably Lucius’ story. He plays a prominent part but it was absolutely essential as the Afterlife Saga steers us in a whole new direction in Kiera’s journey of self-discovery and acceptance as she learns of her role in this new world.
I love the Draven’s but it was nice to delve deeper into enemy territory and get a whole new insight to the world Kiera has been plunged into as new characters are introduced and play a pivotal role in her prophecy. As always, this book is a marathon read but think of it more as a fine wine that needs to be tasted and savoured as it consumes you, making you a little dizzy and somewhat euphoric – because yes, some parts will leave you a little light-headed and breathless. I don’t know how Stephanie did it, but I felt myself going through a transition period as many questions were answered with an honesty by the most unlikely of character’s and it was an entertaining experience. Dare I say it, but I was falling for the enemy! There were times that Lucius stole my breath away and I think I may just love him a little now too.
Pip, what a character! That little imp had me rolling in my seat as Stephanie really pulled out the comedy card on this one. I absolutely loved her and Adam, they are the most unconventional couple I have ever encountered and yet the love that resonated from them both was beautiful and it shone a whole new light on the fact that there is a bigger picture, with ‘Afterlife’ being just the tip of the iceberg.
I can’t finish this review without mentioning Vincent – can I just say, ‘True Form.’ Whoa! God, I love that Angel.
But… and there is a But… The ending! OMG! I didn’t expect that, it totally floored me and I think my heart just broke a little bit. I need book four yesterday as I know it’s going to be another rollercoaster ride as Kiera embarks on a whole new kind of mission.
Omg another amazing 5 star read, think my chin hit the floor at the ending I really wish I had book 4 to pick up so I could carry with this fantastic series.
OMG... i am absolutely loving this paranormal series:)
I still love "Crave the Drave" BUT A BIG loving welcome HELLO to Mr Lucius!!!
I was immersed from page one, completely fascinated by the creativity, action, drama and chaos in this book.
Each book gets better and better, I just loved the new characters, the yummy Lucius, Pip & Adam. We still had the appearances from Vincent "The Angel" (another hmmmm)& Sophie & Keira's family. Thoroughly enjoyed the sexual tension building between Keira & Lucius, bringing humour and tenderness in this storyline line. Glad Stephanie remained true to Keira's character for her love for Drave:)
BUT OMG what a cliff hanger to end on!!!
Eaglerly waiting for book 4, The Quarter Moon! this is one series, that i am happy to wait for even with a cliff hanger on each one...Stephanie Hudson does not fail to deliver the very best in all her books)
3 1/2 stars I like this series but, damn. I just can't take any more emotional drama between Keria and Dominic. I mean I hated him in this book only to like him again. I need a break from this series but will continue it at some point.
This book had me seething, smiling, doing tummy flutters it was a annoying and I shed a tear or two, and I found the whole book satisfying and totally not what I was expecting and I can't wait to read book 4 to see where the future takes all the characters. I totally adored all three books. Very well done.
Enjoyed the third instalment of this book overall but found it hard to get into at first.
I feel at times although you can tell how much the author wants to set a scene there was just too much description I actually found myself skipping pages of unesscesary narration I mean for heavens sake at one point a chair is described down to every detail.
The detail descriptions I would expect from a first novel but the not the third in a series
I was worried when starting this book that Keira and Lucius would start some sort of affair but was so glad it didn't go that way I would have completely fallen out with Keira if she had gone down that route.
One of the things I really enjoyed was the introduction of new characters Pip and Adam thought they were a great addition.
I'm still not convinced Vincent is totally trustworthy when it comes to Keira and Dom's relationship we found out that Aurora and Dom video was a lie but why did he act like it was going on when Keira visited Draven to confront him only for Vincent to sort of confirm her fears so we'll see.
But the biggest shock was the ending can he really be dead and if so what's happened to Vincent and Sophia surely one of the them would have told Keira unless they too are dead, even Lucius would have been a better messenger than Levic.
Plus I take it from the teaser for book 4 that Pythia is trying to get in touch but if that's the case what has happened to Draven and what can Keira do to get him back I mean she can't possibly die again she's died about 3 times in this book alone or at least come close to death.
Looking forward to what will happen with these characters hopefully Draven and Keira will be reunited soon and not be kept apart for most of the book like they were in triple goddess.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is my favourite so far!! It doesn't follow the normal, everything is happy then goes wrong then all happy again, it's a constant roller coaster of emotions which makes the stories a lot less predictable.
I loved seeing the different sides of Lucius & Pip is the most amazing character in the world. It's great having a character in a book which completely goes against the grain to spice things up.
The only bad part was the cliffhanger. I cannot believe Stephanie did that to us. Talk about building suspense!!!!! What a tease!!!
3.5 stars!! I so wanted to LOVE this book like I did the other 2. I stalked Amazon searching for it. The 5 chapters that were released had me dreaming of this book.
SPOILER ALERT...kind of!!! I WANTED Lucius to be the evil villain he was built up to be. In the beginning I felt the pull and hold evil Lucius had; I was right there feeling the tension and fear. And then it fell flat.
just finished this book and what can i say but oh my god !!!! cant believe iv had this on my kindle for ages and not read it!!!! loved it loved it loved it can not wait for book 4 !!! i loved dominic draven then hated him and thought he was a dick then fell in love with him again!!! and were to start with luc hated and loved him at the same time and i want a friend like pip!!!! i havent read a paranormal book in a long time and will definetly recommend this book to anyone who listens to me and its a long time also since iv been totally lost in a book, the descriptive way it is written you can imagine how everything looks to furniture to clothes!!!! roll on december for book 4 xx
I don't know whether to hug Stephanie Hudson for a roller coaster ride or BEAT HER ASS! My fan girl in me is screaming in rage! - but the reader in me is in tears and praying for the 4th book to come out to put me out of my misery! PLEASE MAKE IT SOON!!!
MAR 1, 2013 UPDATE:
Almost done, still lovin' it! :-) But I did find that I had to constantly skip 3/4/5 and sometimes 6 pages worth of detailed descriptions! I'm all for setting a scene, but this was a little much. The story line is still amazing and I would still rec it anyone who loves this type of book/series. Just be prepared to skip a lot of pages. LOL
FEB 25, 2013 UPDATE:
So I have been reading along and I have found some quotes in this book that had me cracking up! LOL If you haven't read the others, these won't make sense to you... but I loved them all the same.
But obviously Carrick didn't appear to be worried, which brought on the mental picture of that day at the warehouse. What if Carrick had been there? Would Draven have ripped open the va, saw Carrick and said, "Oh, didn't know it was you... sorry, you just go ahead!"
And then this one:
What was it with bad guys, did they have a specialist car dealership they all went to or did they just walk in and ask for something dark, threathening and with enough boot space for a body, to kidnap young mortal girls!
All in all, I' very much enjoying myself reading this!
FEB 21, 2013: OMG OMG OMG!!! I had to steal the hubster's Kindle, but I BOUGHT THIS BOOK!!! I'm so excited! I read the other two in no time flat and then RE-read them to make sure I had a full grasp before starting the new one! EEEEEEEE!!! *flailage of epic levels!*
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! The afterlife saga just keeps getting better and better!
Book three sees the introduction of new characters that are epic. The flow of tension and anticipation through the book are unrivalled to any other I have read. The feelings of love and desperation are deeply ingrained in all the characters for an outcome that is yet to be revealed but wills you to drive there as fast as you can.
There are too many characters to appropriately show my appreciation for them all but my heart opened to Pip, Adam and Lucius in a way I never thought possible from the previous 2 books.
This saga is nothing but completely unpredictable and endearing and has quickly become one of my all time favourites! I can not recommend this saga enough!
Huge congratulations to Stephanie Hudson for another incredible part to a truly mesmerising journey! I cannot wait to read The Quater Moon and pray it is not too long before its release!
Are you trying to kill me Mrs Hudson???? What can I say without giving anything away! Apart from I can't bring myself to start another book at the moment because I don't want to spoil the book hangover I have from this one. I love the way Keira's character has developed in this book with the help of Lucius of course. I seriously am so hot for Lucius, as I was reading I was so thinking forget Draven & just stay with the bad boy! Don't get me wrong I still 'Crave the Drave' but now I also 'Lust for Lucius'. I hope Stephanie' s fingers are a blur on her keyboard at the moment writing 'The Quarter Moon' as I am not sure I can stand the wait after the ending to this book! This book certainly did not disappoint I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED IT
I enjoy these - all Free on Unlimited. The editing certainly leaves a lot to be desired, both in terms of the sentence structure and also the typical phoenetic problems.
This one throws in a bit of extra creativity which is pretty good. A couple of new support characters have joined the menagerie, Pipper, is especially fantastical and you've got to love her.
This 3rd book does a bit of a round off, so it's a good time to save the next books for later. I reckon I'll wait until book 7 is released.
Why did it have to end...n how long before the fourth installment? So the third book in the saga and it started where we left off with Kiera kidnapped by Lucius. Its hard to say anymore without giving the story away because if you`ve read the first two, you should be able to predict some of the storyline. Having said that I found myself screaming no no no no no several times throughout the book. Loved it towards the end but oh another cliffhanger but this one is too much to handle. Loved Loved Loved it!!!! Can't wait for the fourth book
The sh*t literally hits the fan in this book as Keira is kidnapped and thrown into a world where her dark knight is not there to protect her. But her captors aren't entirely as they seem, and as Keira is kept hostage, she learns more about her place in the supernatural world than Draven would have liked. She learns more of herself too- as she starts to develop into a stronger character and stand up for what she believes in.
Fast-paced story with vivid imagery and bad-ass but likable characters. I really liked this story. It is my favorite so far of the Afterlife saga.
Can I just say I'm in love with Lucius? Draven annoyed me a bit more in this book. I think he's too controlling at times, it's not a very balanced relationship. I adore Lucius. He can be such an ass, but I love him. He's fun and so nice when they're alone. I enjoyed the part she was with him the most of all. And Pip! I love Pip!
This author has catapulted me through countless hurdles, this book at one point had me truly sobbing i mean tissue tears the works.....
Its like reading a Twilight-Sookie crossover (am referring to Eric alot)
It has to be one of my fave series so far... Loving Lucius, what a character... and had me wanting to jump in the pages and claw and Draven before falling in love with him all over again (Like i said hurdles.)
We read in this addition about Keira in captivity and face down some formidable enemies, all while falling a little in love with new characters.
cough cough PIP ..... Lucius.
Pip is just brilliant she adds a whole new crazy to the group
Anyway after kidnapping, battles, betrayal and revelations we finally have a few chapters of breathers before BAM!!!!! Cliffhanger..... and their is 9 more books to go, i dont think my heart or nerves will last... going to have to read something else as i need sleep tonight not to be up till the early hours of the morning again... My kids need a functioning mummy, yet i fear my restraint will only last a few days!!!!!
This is the best book in the series so far and much better than the first two volumes in terms of content. The sequel was well told, exciting and funny and it also had better pacing. Overall, I really liked the story, and I think the new characters who have entered the Afterlife universe are great. Carrick is super interesting. Pip, this small, quirky and lively goblin, won my heart in no time and the entire Vampire King's Council consists of even more interesting characters. And Lucius ... oh sweet and evil Lucius! Fantastic! There was something intriguing about Draven in the first two volumes, but now I have to admit that countless times while reading I felt that Lucius was a much better match for Keira. However, it's like comparing bananas with apples, because both men are fundamentally different. Captivity gradually turns into protection, and we get a deep insight into the feud between Dominic and Lucius, but we also learn more about the prophecy and Keira's fate. Thrilling!
i have no clue where to start....i never thought i would go back to reading paranormal....thought that ship had sailed!! ......HOLY SHIT BATMAN how wrong i was!!!
im writing this as an overal review for all 3 books......im obsessed with them...the totaly consumed my life for a whole week...and to be perfectly honest im fuckin devistated that im done with them....untill book 4!!!
these books are by far the best books that my eyes have had the pleasure of reading!! took a while to get started but once they did BOOM....i was sucked in like a big fat sucker .....im totaly in love with Draven...what an alpha male that man is.....i would sell my soul to the devil for a slice of dom!!! The story developed well and was detailed to perfection! The story develops through all 3 books ...and starts where the last left...the 3rd book introduced new characters that had me pissing my little wet panties pip what a funny wee imp she is!!! Lucius u nearly had me....but not quite...... its sexy, and hot and has the biggest baddest bad ass alpha male that kickes the rest to the curb!! i have told everyone and anyone about these books and im now recieving 10 calls a day asking what happens next lol!!! I CAN NOT tell u how excited i am to read book 4 and expect to pull a sicky from work the day it goes live!! FANFUCKINTASTICO BEYOND BELIEVE!!!!! and hats off to stephanie Hudson for creating such greatness!! u are my new hero!!!!!! next to Draven of course!!!!!!!
I wanted to read the first 3 books before writing a review. I never like to judge a series based on the first book. So with that being said, I absolutely love the overall story line. Random plan Jane meets exceptionally handsome mysterious sex God (literally), and are continuously faced with life or death situations. I loved the constant battles between heaven and hell, right and wrong. BUT....I found myself skipping several pages at a time. The author was a little too descriptive of ever single thing that it became boring and pulled away from the story line. I mean seriously you do not have to spend 5 pages just explaining what a room looks like or continuously repeat the same feelings a character is experiencing over and over. The only things that saved these books where the AMAZING sex scenes , now that's where I like the in-depth detail and it was done beautifully! Also, the characters are fantastic. The friends that Keira meets along her journey are hilarious ads kickers who don't take any shit! Sophia, RJ and my personal favorite Pip who doesn't come into play till book 3 But she was well worth the wait cause she is flippin hilarious! All in all I give the first 3 books a solid 3 star. I loved it but if I'm having to skip 30% of each book just to get to the point than there is something wrong here. Haven't decided if I'm gonna continue on with book 4 since reading the summary I can tell its going to be a pretty predictable read, but we shall see.
I am happily over my para normal side alley after this installment of which I paid $10. Frankly I want my $ back. The story line ridiculous (Dominic dead? uh huh), then the lengths she goes to, only to find she is stronger than the lot of them (which we sort of knew anyway).
Oh, and the grammar "learnt" hmm, let's try that in a sentence, " I learnt today while being sick in bed, not to read stupid para normal books that are beneath me". How did that sound Stephanie? The worst part is the end - this ever lasting love is nothing but a joke. He doesn't love her, (in fact he vows to kill her; yes that makes utter sense) and she walks away with her strength and dignity (sort of) which she always had. I for one won't visit hell for this guy or this series and should I EVER think of buying another one of your books again I'm going to re-read my review. Adios kids, I'm moving on.
Keira now finds herself becoming a pawn in a game she can never hope to win and a new King on the board is a Vampire who is on a mission. With the only man who can stop him miles away from the mountain prison, Keira finds that she is being kept, and she now finds that she has to choose which path she is going to take in order to survive.
Enemies are closing in all around her and fast, and Keira has to tread very carefully or she might find that the only man to save her isn't her White Knight, the man that she loves with all her heart, but the Dark King who has kidnapped her, the Dark King she loathes.
Keira knows that the more time she spends with the Vampire King is dangerous and she soon learns that it's not only the power of her mind that she has to keep locked up and protected, it's also the power of her heart...
And suddenly Keira realizes that Lucius might just hold the key to both.
WARNING: This book not only contains sexual content but also has one bad ass Vamp King that is into way more than just mortal biting!
The Triple Goddess is the 3rd book in the Afterlife Saga by Stephanie Hudson. So, I'm still loving Dominic but I'm also loving Lucius as well. I don't know what it is about these two, but they live rent-free in my head, even now while I am well into book 4.
Wow! What can I say about this third instalment of this stunning saga? Stephanie Hudson has once again taken us on an emotional roller coaster ride and proven once again that she has an incredible talent and she has this immense imagination that never runs out of ideas. And the things that she puts Keira through and we the reads through is nothing short of diabolical.
The way Stephanie blends the complex paranormal world with our mortal world, characters that are a blend of both mortal and immortal, the entire world breathes like it has a life of its own. I swear that Stephanie knows exactly how to deliver on each and every punch, her writing just flows perfectly off the page with this stunning artistic flair and she perfectly paints pictures with her words and I feel so at home when I am reading her books.
Keira is once again in danger and this time Dominic isn't close by to keep her safe and her bodyguard is facing death by Carrick (the Harbringer of Death). Rather than allowing him to die for her, Keira chooses to give herself to Carrick to allow Ragnock to live. As she travels with Carrick, she meets Pip (an Imp who quickly becomes a friend to Keira) and Adam. And all too soon she finds herself handed over to Dominic's enemy, Lucius – the Vampire King.
Kiera grieves missing her family, Draven, and her home. She doesn't know if she'll ever see any of them ever again and she doesn't know if she'll ever get out of this alive. Her only friend in this is Pip, the mischievous little Imp who was part of the team that kidnapped her.
Keira spends her first night in captivity at Lucius's club Transfusion and Keira gets thrown deeper into the darker side of the supernatural world that she keeps getting thrown deeper and deeper into. And she honestly can't help but question her own sanity when Pip calls her friend and the hostile conditions that she had been dealing with slowly change and she finds that she becomes friends with not only Pip and Adam but also Lucius and his entire council who start to show her signs of leniency and their support.
Kiera finds herself guarded in Germany in a large mountain retreat. She knows that her life and mortality hangs in the balance. Lyla reappears and attempts to kill her and has her doubting Dominic as Kiera plays the part of yet another pawn in this game of control between the two Kings, Dominic Draven – her one true love, the man that she would do anything for, and Lucius the one and only King of the Vampires, as Lucius barters Kieras very life for a priceless relic that Dominic holds that belongs to Lucius rightfully and he wants it back now.
Kiera's captivity goes on and another demon reaches out trying to lay claim to Kiera – who is not only the Electus but also the Triple Goddess and this forces Lucius into making a critical decision, but in doing so, he confesses truths.
I will say that this is NOT Dominic's story. He doesn't play a big role in this book This book is Lucius's story and he is the big King in this book. And I will say that this book is essential in taking this Saga in a brand new direction in Kiera's life journey. And it helps her in her journey of self-discovery, acceptance, and growth and honestly, this book helps her find her place in the supernatural world.
The entrance of this new demon changes everything and brings Lucius and Dominic back together and reunites Dom and Kiera and in the moment of their reunion and bam, she is gone again.
Now, I am not going to say much more because I want you to read this book for yourself and get lost in this rabbit hole. But, there are a few things that I do have to say.
Vincent – OMG! 'True Form!' WOW! Man, do I love that Angel. I could forget all about Dom and Lucius for him.
And here's the big fat huge BUT
That ending! Dang, I never saw that coming in a million years and it made me cry and it broke my heart and I kind of just sat there asking myself What did I just hear? (I've been listening to each of the books). And yes, so far, book 4 has been nothing but a roller coaster ride of emotions for Kiera as she embarks on this new mission.
If you haven't started reading Afterlife Saga then you need to start NOW! And if you have and just haven't read this book yet, then you need to read this book as it is such a great book and it is a gut punch of emotions with twists and turns that you'll never expect.
Stephanie Hudson has knocked it out of the park yet again and I can't wait to dive into her other books. (As soon as I have the time. I have a huge TBR and ARC reading list.)
Absolutely great read! Thought I might pee my pants in anticipation at certain bits of the book and couldn't put it down. Definitely 2 days worth ignoring the outside world for and getting lost in the pages. Not sure what ill do til the next one comes out. Although be definitely be re reading the first 3 again near the release date :)
The writing style flows well and i loved the little mini cliff hangers throughout the book that force you to read on Even if is 2am! lol. The new characters brought refreshment to the story and those I hated at the start of the book I loved near the end. I'm not normally in to the teenage supernatural type book and almost did t read this series but glad I did. Not sure I have enjoyed a book so much in a while and it's quickly snuck into my favourite book pile.
I loved loved loved the this book. To find out that Lucius isn't really the bad guy made it an interesting read.
I was a bit miffed at Keira for falling for Lucius's charm & sexiness.I mean even Vincent has a spell on her or something.what's her problem?
Anywoo... As I said I loved loved the third afterlife book and before I gave it a go I've read some of the reviews on goodreads to see if it was,well...good.
I was irritated that some suggested Keira keeps falling or giving in to Draven's demands or arguments but I didn't get that when reading the two kings, the opposite actualy,She stood up for herself & I liked that. Yes it was irritating sometimes but yes she wasn't always a damsel in distress here. Especially in the end. So I'm giving an honest review & recommend this to all Buffy & Angel lovers.
THE HELL was with that cliffhanger ending?? Instead of keeping me on the edge of my seat it has turned me right off.
I'm not getting on my soap box again today about cliffhangers. I just won't. But I will say that whilst occasionally a cliffhanger will compel me to get the next one in the series because I have to know what happens, It does put me off starting any other series written by the author until it is fully complete. I just can't stand waiting. Rather than a device to keep readers coming back, I think that it is a device of torture, and if you have a good story why do it?
You know when you watch the end of an episode of Game of Thrones (usually the last episode of a series), it goes on to credits and you are still staring at the screen in silence, with mouth wide open, not blinking and just thinking WHAT THE ACTUAL F**K....DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?! Well THAT is what the end of this book is like! I found myself just staring at the last three spoken words for about an hour, trying to comprehend what had happened, why would the author do this? And then leave us for months waiting for the next book! The rest of the book is absolutely incredible and your bond with the characters continues to grow!
