Brandy understands struggle but refuses to let it be her story. When she needs something that is her own and a distraction from worrying about her ex husband she pours her heart into a Yoga franchise and finds the peace she’s searching for. While settling into her new normals she hosts a retreat in Puerto Rico for a much needed recharge but things don’t go as planned because a handsome stranger becomes her new distraction.
Armand lands in Puerto Rico to focus on his first and only love, making money but unfortunately his dedication is challenged when he meets the beautiful and reserved Brandy. He’s immediately drawn in and knows she’s exactly what he needs, however the complications in her life aren’t making their union an easy connection. Love in paradise or heart break and destruction?
Brandy was on her grown woman ish, running her yoga studios and trying to live her best life. However, her soon to be ex-husband wouldn’t let her be great. I felt for Brandy, cause Jeffrey was unhinged, and I was afraid that he would harm her further. This retreat to Puerto Rico was just what she needed to reset and unwind.
Well, after her arrival, she soon meets a handsome, yet mysterious man who shows up in the nick of time to save her. She is intrigued and smitten. Who is this man?
Armand is the man, but that comes with worries, stress, and no down time. This trip to Puerto Rico was his time for relaxation. But that quickly comes to an end when he locks eyes with a beauty who is being harassed at the resort. This interaction was the catalyst for a wild ride between these two. There was something about Brandy that drew Armand in, and he couldn’t let her go.
I thought that there would be long drawn out issues with Jeffrey taunting Brandy, but Armand nipped that right in the bud! However, there was still a good amount of drama to keep us going. I loved the way Armand protected Brandy, making sure that she knew she was safe with him. Enjoyed this. 👍🏾👍🏾
When I tell you this really took me on a roller coaster ride, that I did not want to get off of. I mean it. Almond and Brandy really had that it factor baby. Love is a beautiful thing and obsession is another. This story gave both . I thoroughly enjoyed this book, you keep leveling up Jen Elle. I love that for you too. Definitely a favorite of the year.
A stranger turns out to be her ultimate protector. Brandy and Armand have instant chemistry. Their story if full of love, patience, understanding, and laughter. Safest with you provides the perfect combo of romance and drama. Read it because you won’t be disappointed
Previous books I’ve read by the author were fantasy. So hearing that she dropped an urban romance was exciting because I love urban romances. This gives you all the feels and Jeffrey??? Mmm mm. All ima say lol.
Armand was a man of his words. From his first glimpse at Brandy, he just knew. Brandy learning to navigate life after experiencing abuse at the hands of her husband (still married) & still being harassed by him, battled with trusting Armand fully. However, his actions were her constant reassurance that he was nothing like her husband. This was a new-to-me author and I look forward to reading more books by her.
Love the MMC he held our girl down, and played no games about our girl. He handled everything right then and there! No prolonging. Love this quick love story.
I do need to know is there back story in another story about the dad. Also if Nay gone get a book.
This was a good read for the author first urban romance and she didn’t disappoint. To show the true meaning of love especially when you know you know. The couple fell in love hard and fast but it was beautiful thing. I hope to read more urban romance from her.
This is my first read by the author. Loved Armond and that he didn't play games with or about Brandy. I thought it was cute that their siblings were dating. I'm glad Jeffrey and his brother got what they deserved.
This book took me through some emotional moments. They fell hard and fast but it was so good. He was so patient with her and she needed him to be that for her.
