The book starts off with Aria on Earth, where she feels different and left out. Then after feeling like she is being watched for awhile, on her way home from working at the bookstore, she meets Kael. He explains to her why she feels the way she does and pretty much kidnaps her to faerie. She is his betrothed and everything goes to heck thereafter. It took a long while for me to warm up to him as I was totally behind Aria and how she felt to be kidnapped and told all of the very crazy things. But, there is sooo much more to Kael than I thought. After finding out everything about his past, her past, her family, what has been going on in faerie in the different courts, etc. I began to realize that Kael needed Aria and vice versa. Then there is romance, steam, fighting of epic proportions on all fronts, etc. It is a totally epic roller coaster ride of emotions. As Kael teaches her more about being fae, etc., I found I liked him more and more. Their verbal sparring ends up becoming foreplay and hilarious in some cases. Learning more about more about the fae and faerie was interesting and fascinating. I can’t wait for the next book.

This was something else! Kenzie knows how to do the whole romance fantasy well and these two were heating up the pages! This was well done and the writing is wonderful. There is a mysterious feel and you feel as our h does-lost and not quite fitting in.
If the mysterious male she meets is right, there is a reason for her discontent.
The plot is entertaining and right away I was sucked into the story. I felt for her, she didn't feel connected to the people here and no wonder! Her real life was filled with emotions and duty and a love she never saw coming! I appreciate the banter between these two and love their chemistry. The way she fights him was great and I look forward to more!

Aria has always felt like she doesn’t fit in and alone. One day she meets a mysterious man named Kael who claims that she is his mate and a Fae. He kidnaps her to the land of the Fae where they begin a forced proximity, enemies to lovers romance. The chemistry between these two is combustible and the dialogue is spot on.
Overall, this was a fun and mysterious story with great characters and an interesting plot.

This was a fae romance of a young woman that felt different in her world of humans,until one night her world completely changed when a man entered her life. I enjoyed this book a lot , it had turmoil suspense dark and light mistrust, and spice.

That’s really a quite good book admittedly the fae can be quite irritating and I have to admit for over half the book I kept questioning if he was trying to deceive her or not.
