How do you play with a Scoundrel? You beat him at his own game.
When New York socialite Annika Marie Meyer read the most chauvinistic, absurd, insulting mail-order bride advertisement, she had to respond. With the ire of an enraged goddess, Annika was determined to bring rancher Cole Morrison back to reality.
Cole is in need of a wife, and finding a suitable bride in the female-starved West seemed an impossible task. Annika’s hostile, unrequested response to his detailed mail-order bride advertisement has his scoundrel showing.
They are both itching for a fight and letter sparring is their weapon of choice as they entangle in a war of wills. Will they put each other in their place? Or find a place of their own?
Annika Marie Meyer sent a scathing letter to Cole Morrison after reading his rude ad for a mail-order bride. Over the months that followed, this turned into a barbed discourse.
The back-and-forth letter format of this story is brilliant. The character's thought process was competently demonstrated. The end is delightful.
This was such a delightful little book. It was written as letters back and forth between Annika Marie Meyer and Cole Morrison. I loved the bantering they had between the two of them. I also enjoyed the relationship they created from the letters. It was so interesting to read about each of their lives through letters. Great, quick read.
I enjoyed reading this book, it has an engaging storyline and the interaction between the characters is entertaining. I can't wait for the next book. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
