Love and loathing never tasted so sweet.

Hating your brother’s best friend is inconvenient at the best of times. It’s even worse when you’ve been pouring your heart into loving him since you were a teenager. Sydney Adams spent her childhood chasing after her older brother and his best friend, Nate, always tagging along but never fitting in. Just when she thought she’d finally uncorked Nate’s affection, he abandoned not only her, but the whole family.

Now he’s back, and the tables have turned. Nate’s managed to repair his relationships with everyone except the one woman whose taste he can’t forget. Surely, his best friend’s wedding is the perfect occasion to raise a toast to old love, right? Or at least convince Sydney to give him a second chance to prove they’re still a complementary pairing. But when disaster strikes at Sunshine Cellars and a blast from Nate’s not-so-distant past threatens to sour the situation, will he be able to convince Sydney that he’s not the same man who left?

Bordeaux Bombshell is book three of the Sunshine Cellars series. This interconnected standalone features a second chance at love, meddling moms, and plenty of steam. And, of course, a guaranteed HEA!

Oh I loved this story so much!! Sydney is so feisty and I am here for it! Nate is a big sexy adorable idiot (in the best way). I love them together so much it is clear that they are ment for one another. The tension in this book is absolutely palatable, but a good second chance gets me every time.

Where do I even start with this book?!?! And I mean that in the most amazing way ever! I have been lucky enough to read the previous book in this series titled Merlot Marriage and I fell in love with Fancy Roberts writing style. I was lucky enough to get Bordeaux Bombshell as an advanced copy, just like Merlot Marriage and I am head over heels in love with Nate. It might be a competition between Nate and Philip, but one thing I know for sure, is that both Ophelia and Sydney are the luckiest girls in the world to have them.

This is the story of Sydney, who has been in love with Nate since they were children. Some can say that it started the moment that they first met each other, or when they started to hang out all the time together as children. Nate has always been Kel’s best friend, Sydney’s older brother and she would usually tag along with them. Not once did Nate ever make her feel like a nuisance and every time they hung out, feelings started to blossom between them. Eventually, they started to date and started to plan their future together. Nate was ready to tell Kel that he has been seeing Sydney but Sydney wanted to hold off and stay in their bubble a bit longer. One day, Nate gets distressing news and ends up leaving their town and Sydney forever.

Flash forward, it’s been years since Sydney and Nate dated, but occasionally they would still hook up and leave it at that. Nate has started to realize that he can’t hide his feelings anymore and wishes to be with Sydney again. However, Sydney has been wronged and gotten her heart broken by Nate so badly to the point that she feels like she can’t ever trust him again with her heart. When she does hook up with guys, it’s always in the living room, keeping her bedroom as her sanctuary, and no trespassers are allowed. Everyone can see that Sydney still has feelings for Nate and she always will. But she will never risk her heart again.

This is the story of Nate and Sydney, two people who were in love with each other when they were young and life gets in the way, destroying a relationship and the bond that two people have with each other. Sydney does her very best to move on from Nate and finally rips off the band-aid that she has been dreading for so long to do. Despite it all, Nate does not give up and gives her the space she wants and needs to understand that he did mess up when they were younger, and he is truly sorry. But, it doesn't deter him from winning her back and winning her heart and trust once again.

Fancy Roberts does it yet again and I could not put this book down at all! I truly loved seeing how Sydney finally stood up for herself, even if it meant breaking her heart and Nate’s, but she did what she had to do to move on. And boy was I pissed off that she did it, but realistically it made sense why she did. The amount of emotions I went through when reading this novel was insane and it felt like a rollercoaster ride. But, at the end of the day, love will always triumph and two soulmates always find a way back to each other ❤️

"I want you to stay - to help me live the life we always dreamed of. OR to make new dreams. But i respect that you needed space, and what we used to want may not be enough for you anymore. IF that's the case, I'll let you go and try to be happy about it. But just know that, to me, you are irreplaceable." - Nate

Bordeaux Bombshell by Fancy Roberts
I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did! I started reading with low expectations, thinking I might not even finish it—but I was completely wrong. This story pulled me in and didn’t let go.
Bordeaux Bombshell follows Sydney and Nate, childhood friends with a long-standing, complicated connection. Nate, four years older, had always planned to take over his family’s winery—until his parents unexpectedly sold it, prompting him to flee to France and vow never to return. Years later, a family emergency brings him back, and tensions flare as Sydney confronts the heartbreak and anger of his departure.
The chemistry between Sydney and Nate is electric. Their emotional tug-of-war—filled with unresolved feelings, fiery arguments, and undeniable attraction—makes for a compelling and passionate read. I especially appreciated Sydney’s decision to take time for herself in Boston, reflecting on what she truly wants. It added depth to her character and gave the story a refreshing pause for growth.
The intimate scenes? Absolutely delicious. Fancy Roberts delivers a short, steamy, and emotionally satisfying romance that’s perfect for a weekend read. Bravo!

*I received an ARC copy in return for an honest review*

This is the 3rd installment of the Sunshine Cellars series, and this book focuses on Nate & Sydney - the good, the bad, the ugly history - while preparing for the upcoming nuptials of Maggie & Kel. Their story delves into the reasons for Nate's anger, and why Sydney refuses to let go of her anger towards him for disappearing when the winery was sold.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and have loved getting to see the different perspectives of all the characters involved. I will say, however, that Sydney's attitude and the grudge she carried (holy intense hatred) got a little redundant sometimes, and combined with her insecurity of making lasting friendships (leaving her with no one to actually work through her feelings) started to work against her. It seems like her hatred was her entire personality, and Nate was too selfish & oblivious to actually take any responsibility for lighting the rage or bother trying to resolve the issues. Maybe that was the point, and that's why they were written that way, but there were a few moments the forced proximity seemed almost unrealistic and the resolution was too neat.

Will I recommend this series? Absolutely.
Will I read more? Again, Absolutely!

Love and loathing never tasted so sweet.

I had the absolute pleasure of reading book three in the sunshine cellars series, Bordeaux Bombshell as an ARC, and Fancy Roberts has quickly become one of my go-to romance authors. Sydney and Nate’s story is everything I want in a second chance romance—full of longing, tension, and the kind of chemistry you can feel from page one.

Sydney has spent her life caught between love and resentment for her brother’s best friend, Nate. When he walked away years ago, he left her heartbroken. Now he’s back for her brother’s wedding, determined to win her over, but Sydney isn’t about to make it easy. Between family drama, wine country charm, and a blast from the past, their journey kept me hooked from the start.

I loved the banter, the meddling moms, the steam, and of course, the heart-melting HEA. Bordeaux Bombshell is a perfect blend of swoon, spice, and sweetness—and a must-read for romance fans who love the brother’s best friend trope with a second-chance twist. Cannot wait to read another one of fancy’s books! Thank you beyond words! 🍷💛

Fancy so kindly gifted me an e-arc (ahead of schedule might I add) as a birthday present before I headed off on a three week trip to the UK and I DEVOURED it.

Bordeaux Bombshell is book 3 of the Sunshine Cellar’s series and it definitely did not disappoint. What I love about Fancy’s book is that they’re fun, witty, and spicy. The banter is always top notch, which is the mark of a good book for me.

Sydney and Nate are childhood friends, turned lovers, turned enemies, turned lovers who get their second chance at their HEA. There is so much tension between the two of them & despite her stubbornness from having het heart broken the first time, Nate is patient and set on proving himself again and earning back her love. I love that he gives her the space she needs, and that she actually does take time to figure herself out.

That tension creates some wonderfully spicy moments and I could not get enough! Fancy is always great about balancing between the story and the romance and it’s what keeps me coming back to her stories.

So if you’re looking for a fun new read, definitely check this one out. It is a standalone, but it also ties in aspects of all her other books, so may as well go back and read all of them! 😋

Bordeaux Bombshell is a cute and cozy read that takes me into the lovely world of a family-run winery. Sydney comes back to her hometown and meets her old flame again. There is lots of fun drama with meddling moms, family secrets, and small town gossip that makes the story very entertaining. I really loved the romance, it felt real and sweet.
Nate and Sydney have amazing chemistry, and the way they reconnect is so heartwarming. The wine and food vibes make the book feel even more special, like you can taste the yummy treats and imagine the beautiful vineyards around.
Some parts were a little predictable, but the charming setting, fun dialogues, and flirty moments made me enjoy every page. I finished the book feeling happy, cozy, and totally in love with the vineyard life.
Thank you so much author for the arc..

Thank you to Fancy Roberts for giving me the opportunity to read an eARC of Bordeaux Bombshell, the third book in the Sunshine Cellars series.

This was a fun and easy read. I really enjoyed Sydney and Nate’s story, especially the flashbacks that offered a look into their long history. Those moments gave meaningful insight and made it easier for me to relate to Sydney’s stubbornness. Their dynamic felt layered and real, and the chemistry between them definitely delivered.

Although Bordeaux Bombshell is an interconnected standalone, I do think I would’ve enjoyed it even more if I’d read the first two books. I found myself a little confused about who the side characters were at times, which pulled me out of the story here and there.

Overall, this was a sweet and satisfying romance, and it made me want to go back and catch up on the rest of the Sunshine Cellars series!

🍷Bordeaux Bombshell
*Book 3 in Sunshine Cellars series

📖ARC review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🤍Cute, fun, quick & spicy read

Y’all…Sydney is MAD AT IT🫣
I want to say rightfully so, but she certainly knows how to hold a grudge, not communicate fully and acts a bit immature the entire book. In some flashbacks, she is also incredibly full of herself. That being said, the author does make sure she’s aware of her own downfalls.

Nate (MMC) is more emotional than he lets on to those around him. He seems to be the classic, hard headed, holds everything in kind of guy.

While second chance romance isn’t my favorite trope, I actually liked this one! The more that was revealed through flashbacks, the more EVERYTHING made sense. And truly…I ended up feeling like neither one was more to blame than the other.

This book is SPICY🌶️ I’d venture to say spicier than book 2 for sure. HUGE FAN of angry shmexy shmex.😏

“𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙡 𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢, 𝙄 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙. 𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙙𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙨𝙠, 𝙎𝙮𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙮, 𝙞𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙡𝙡 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙮𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪.”

WOW, WOW, WOW. I did NOT expect to love Nate Ridgefield as much as I did. He’s been so surly throughout the entire series that I knew he was gonna have to have one heck of a redemption arc, and boyyyyy did Fancy deliver. His pain and the self-proclaimed “betrayal” he suffered at the hands of his parents kept me glued to the page, but getting to know his heart and everything he held close to the vest made for one heck of a story.

However, if you ask me… Sydney was the real showstopper in Bordeaux Bombshell.

𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝. 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙣, 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙢𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙪𝙥 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙖 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙢𝙤𝙡𝙙. 𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙡 𝙍𝙞𝙙𝙜𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙢𝙞𝙭𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙢𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙚.

Her female rage, anger, and ability to hold a grudge were captivating. I connected with her so hard. And while everyone else in the book was accusing her of being immature and selfish and childish, I was too busy seeing her heart and feeling her pain and consuming her willpower to not let a man get off easy after the heartbreak he delivered time and time again. #JusticeForSydney because that girl deserved more than what Nate gave her all those years ago. And I was so glad she held out until she got it.

These two were chemistry and love and hearts on fire, and I wanted to kick my feet and scream and cry when I read the end. I wasn’t ready for it to be over! So five stars to the man who said: 𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙝, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄’𝙢 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚. And another five to my favorite FMC by Fancy, the one and only Sydney Adams, for making that man work for her forgiveness.

Can’t wait for what comes next!

I read Bordeaux Bombshell as an eARC and it was okay. Only reason why it was meh was because I didn't read the two previous books in the series. Even though, it was a standalone, there were parts in it that were confusing.
The story itself was good. Fanny gives you an HEA for the MMC and FMC, but getting there was where I was having trouble. The FMC and MMC are in this love/hate relationship and it was constant bickering, instigated by her. She hadn't forgiven him for what happened in the past. She was behaving like a child while he was trying to fix things.
It took her leaving the state to finally figure out that she wants him.
I will be rereading this book after I read the previous two books with the intention of changing my rating.

I knew I was going to enjoy this book as soon as I saw the dedication: "This one is for the angry girls. Stay mad as long as you want."

Nate and Sydney's story has spanned over roughly two decades, and it was fun reading different moments throughout the years as chapters bounce between different times in their lives. Their banter is top notch, and I found myself laughing out loud during some of their arguments.

If you want a quick-witted easy read, I suggest you grab a glass (or 2!) of wine and get a copy of "Bordeaux Bombshell."

Many thanks to author Fancy Roberts for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a super quick read. A brothers best friend, second chance, live after heartbreak story. Nate broke Sydney’s heart when he left years ago. He broke it again when she followed him without him knowing. He broke it again when he returns home and they spend the next 2 years fighting. However, what Sydney doesn’t know, is that he is just as heartbroken. He has loved her the same and if not more. He has longed for her and craved her and wanted nothing more than to fix what they broke. Sydney’s brother is getting married and has asked for a cease fire between her and Nate and things heat up from there. This book was super cute and I really enjoyed it.

There’s something about an angry gal that is SO relatable to me… and Sydney was definitely relatable. Her righteous anger paired with her shoved down insecurities & vulnerability really jumped off the page. I felt her feelings through the whole book.
Our guy Nate really had to earn it when it came to her trust and winning her back and I loved reading his earnest and then learning to trust & love all over again.
I read Merlot Marriage and loved the sweetness & but of sass of that story & this was such a fun juxtaposition of the other characters I’d discovered in this series.
Thank you Fancy for the ARC opportunity… I really loved this book!

A fun, quick, and easy read that hooked me in fast. I loved this third book in the Sunshine Cellars series. Sydney and Nate’s story is a starts some time ago and is told through flashbacks.

Fancy Roberts delivers an emotional at times story with plenty of complications. Unresolved feelings, and the fine line between love and hate create passion and reveal the attraction that is undeniable. Even Sydney’s time out adds another layer to the complicated thoughts in her head.

Will this second chance take or will Sydney’s stubbornness derail their HEA.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Brothers best friend
Second chance romance
Mutual yearning

A good short read. Mutual heartbreak, Sydney has had her heart broken twice by Nate. But what she is unaware of is he is also heartbroken over her. They spend years apart fighting not telling each other their true feelings.

When her brother asks them to behave for his wedding things finally calm down with the fighting and get steamy.

A cute story about opening your heart back up after it being broken and finding love again.

Fancy's books just get better and better. There was an emotional depth to this one that took the air out of my lungs a couple of times. I loved seeing the old gang make a reappearance, it was like dipping my feet back into a familiar, comfort show when you need a warm hug and to feel like you know all the characters.

Loved it.

Omg I loved Sydney and Nate!! I love me some grumpy/hate personality in characters. And the fact that they both were at each others throats for one reason or another!

Such a good way to add more depth into the series and to give more in sight to these characters.

My heart hurt for Nate at one point and I wanted to just wrap him in a hug. Tons of chatter growth for both of them!

Love!

This was my first time reading this author, and I really enjoyed the smooth, easy writing style. Bordeaux Bombshell is a pleasant small-town, second-chance romance that’s a quick and easy read.

I liked the main characters, Sydney and Nate, though I didn’t quite love them. Sydney came across as a bit immature and prone to holding a grudge, while Nate felt surly and distant. There was mutual heartbreak in their past, but not enough meaningful communication between them in the present. That said, they do eventually sort things out.

Overall, it’s a light, enjoyable read for fans of second-chance romances.

Thank you to the author for the ARC. This is my honest review.

Have been craving Sydney and Nate’s story since book one and was not disappointed! Such a great story. Lots of baggage to unpack. Lots of laughs to be had at Nate’s expense. And a HEA that leaves me on the edge of my seat to see what’s (who is) next!! Read today and you will have a hard time getting anything else done. I couldn’t put it down…

This book was really good. I loved the story between Sydney and Nate. There backstories and how they came back together in the end was just the cutest thing and how they were childhood friends growing up and fell in love? What could be better than that? I loved the story, the characters, just everything about this book was amazing. I really loved it.
