OMG, I love this book! A fun, sexy, heartfelt and gorgeously romantic almost-second-chance rockstar romance with close proximity, great chemistry, fantastic characters and a beautiful love story. I laughed and swooned, and I adored everything about this story!

Hendrix was introduced in The Bridges I've Burned (By the Bay, #6) as the best friend of Zander, where he stole every scene he was in. I love that he’s got his own book, and now we get to see him get his own chance at living his dream when he is asked to step in a temporary bassist for Zander’s wildly successful rock band, Manic at Midnight.

Zara is newly divorced and close to hitting rock bottom when she runs into Hendrix at a party she doesn’t want to be at. She used to tutor him in college, and they had a close friendship but lost touch. Now, Hendrix needs a doctor to go on tour with him and the band, and Zara is a doctor who is looking for a change. It turns out they are just what the other needed, so Zara packs up her life to head on the road with Hendrix and the band.

The dynamic between Hendrix and Zara is so much fun! He is wildly flirtatious, and the attraction between them blossoms from the very start. The teasing and banter is so entertaining, and I loved watching them give in in to their wild chemistry (hot!). And though they plan to keep things casual and have no intention of getting into a relationship, their ease and openness with each other, and their undeniable connection, sees them hopelessly and effortlessly falling for each other.

I told her I was okay without labels, but god, do I want to put one on us. On her.
I want the whole fucking world to know she’s mine, and I am hers.

It’s a fun set-up, and this is a really special read. The history between them, the way Hendrix helps pull Zara out of her funk and start living again, and then then the way she is there for him when he faces physical challenges and needs her more than ever, bring great depth to the story. The drama and emotion is so well written, and I felt everything along with these two as they fall so deeply and become each other’s ‘person’.

“It’s you. My heart has been waiting ten long years for you, baby. And I’m done waiting.”

I love these characters and love the journey they went on together. I loved the bond between the boys in the band, and getting to meet Hendrix’s family. They’re a big, fun-loving bunch, and I’m so excited that this is the first book in a new series, and we’ll get to read more about them.

This is a beautifully written book. Berg gives us the humour and lightness of a romcom, a sexy and dramatic love story, and heartfelt depth and emotion with a dramatic twist. I had such a good time reading it!

Such a great read – 5 stars!

I really enjoyed this second-chance rockstar romance!

Zara and Hendrix knew each other from their college days but only as a tutor and student. But the chemistry was there from day one, just neither acted on it.

They find themselves in one another's orbit again unexpectedly and Hendrix offers Zara an offer that she would be silly to not accept.

I really enjoyed how authentic this story felt and how it all came together and played out. There wasn't unnecessary drama and I really loved that these two knew how to communicate now that they are older.

I loved watching Zara find herself again and I loved how supportive Hendrix was in everything. I really loved that this was more than just what the blurb gave us too - we got a deeper dive into this two and their characters really drove this story.

Add in the Creed family as secondary highlights and I can tell we are going to really like this family. I loved how we can see how they're all different yet blend so well together and support one another.

Definitely looking forward to more from this series.

Fire is exactly what the title promises a scorching, addictive rock star romance that will keep you flipping pages late into the night.

This story brings together Zara and Hendrix, two people with a tangled past who find themselves thrown back together in the most tempting of circumstances. I loved how the forced proximity and hotel room tension simmered until it boiled over into chemistry that felt both inevitable and forbidden. Their unresolved history added that delicious second-chance pull that makes every glance and touch feel electric.

Zara was such a relatable FMC messy, raw, and real. Hendrix, with his tattoos, vulnerability, and edge, was impossible not to root for, even when he was hiding secrets that could change everything. Their late-night confessions and on-the-road intimacy gave me all the it’s always been you vibes.

On top of the romance, the book tackled Hendrix’s health struggles in a way that added depth and heartbreak, pushing Zara into tough choices that tested just how far she would go for love.

Overall, this was an emotional, sexy, and unforgettable rock star romance.

We are starting a new generation of Creed family, with the Creed Legacy Series. Love where this new series is headed, JL Berg is one of my go to authors for rock stars.

Zara and Hendrix have a history, she was his tutor in college. Fast forward to now and Hedrix has the opportunity to go on the road with band. Zara has become a doctor, but her life is in rebuilding mode as she recently divorced. The two have recently crossed paths again. As Hendrix is tasked with finding a doctor for this current tour, Zara fits the need, if she agrees to join the tour.

As the story moves along we watch Zara find herself and her confidence again. We also get more of the Creed family. The setup for this new series has me excited for more.

Thank you to Love N Books Press and the Author for this advance copy; this is my voluntary

Thank you Grey’s Promotions and J.L. Berg for the chance to read an eARC of Fire! This is book one of the Creed Legacy series.

I absolutely LOVE J. L. Berg’s writing - Fire made me laugh, tear up, and swoon. It’s the exact book I needed to get me out of a reading slump. Berg’s writing is so funny and full of depth. And Hendrix? Hendrix is the musician book boyfriend of my dreams. He’s so attentive and caring to Zara.

I loved Zara’s character, too - she’s starting to come into her own after divorcing her slimy ex. It’s beautiful to see. And the cast of side characters (Hendrix’s siblings and bandmates, and Zara’s mom and sister) is an added, hilarious bonus to the story. I loved this book 🫶

The Creed Legacy Series

This is the first book in the new Creed Legacy Series and its off to a great start. Zara had tutored Hendrix in college when Zara was going to be a doctor and Hendrix was a musician. Now years later and Zara is just off a divorce and Hendrix is getting his chance to go on the road with a band. The only requirement is that Hendrix needs to make sure there is a doctor on the tour with them. Lucky for him he just ran into to Zara again and she’s looking for a change.

This was a book that had me hooked with the great chemistry and the way that they handled each other with love.

Fire is the first book in the Creed Legacy series. I believe it is an off shoot of another one of this author's series. But it worked well as a stand alone book. This one is Zara and Hendrix's story. I really enjoyed this romance. I thought the couple was adorable. I loved their history as well ad their chemistry together. It just made this romance that much sweeter. Both of them had great families that I hope we see more of in the later books. I also really loved how Hendrix's condition was handled and his reaction to it. It was just raw and real. How do you handle a complete pivot in your life when all you have ever wanted was to make music? I highly recommend this one. I read it in one sitting and I know you will not be able to put it down as well.

Hendrix Creed is desperate for his big break and to go on tour with an established band. An opportunity comes up to play with his best friend. It all seems like a done deal, except he’s also tasked with finding a doctor who will go on the tour with them in order to get his best friend and his family to agree to it.

Serendipitously, he just ran into his old college tutor and crush, Zara Valentine, who happens to be a doctor, recently divorced, and might be open to a change of scenery. Now all he has to do is convince her to take the job so he can get the gig. But being on the road will mean some forced proximity, and they both had mutual unresolved crushes on each other in the past.

These two have history, unresolved feelings, great chemistry that they just couldn’t deny. But they start to support each other and help each other feel worthy. They were both scared of relationships and had a fear of rejection, but the more time they spent together, the more they couldn’t deny that there were real feelings underneath the passion.

But the bubble they’re living in is not permanent. Hendrix has challenges going on and needs to figure out what he’s going to do when this temporary gig is over. She’s also still in transition. They found happiness on this tour because they’re together, but this tour will eventually end.

This is a one-night-stand, second chance, one-that-got-away, rockstar and doctor, forced proximity, love on tour romance. It's got found family vibes and plenty of biological family members involved too. I liked the characters and enjoyed their story. I am intrigued by both of their siblings and the bandmates. And I look forward to more in this series. The next book was teased a bit.

🔥 “A tour, a temptation, and a second chance worth burning for” 🔥

4.5 ⭐️ | 3.75 🌶️

There’s something electric about a book that hits all the right notes, and Fire, the first installment in J.L. Berg’s brand-new Creed Legacy series, absolutely blazes with emotion, chemistry, and slow-burn tension that’s anything but cold.

I went in blind (this being my first J.L. Berg novel) and I came out obsessed. With the sass. With the angst. With the way these characters are so real, you can almost hear the backstage echoes and feel the buzz of neon hotel signs flickering at midnight.

At the center of this deliciously forced-proximity, second-chance romance are Zara Valentine, a 31-year-old doctor piecing herself back together post-divorce, and Hendrix Creed, the tattooed, emotionally off-limits rock star who once made her heart stumble back in college. Now, years later, they’re shoved into tour buses and hotel rooms under the thin excuse of a “strictly professional” arrangement, and that one, lonely rule: keep it casual.

Yeah, right.

What follows is a whirlwind of hotel nights, late-night truths, smoldering glances, and a magnetic pull neither can shake. But this isn’t just about heat: this is a story about self-worth, rediscovery, and risking everything for the kind of love that feels impossible… until it’s not.

Zara’s journey from overlooked to unstoppable is empowering and beautifully written. Watching her shed her past, take up space, and reclaim her voice had me cheering out loud. And Hendrix? He’s the perfect mix of vulnerability, edge, and quiet heartbreak that makes you want to wrap him up and never let go. Their banter? Absolutely addictive. Their chemistry? Off the charts.

A massive thank-you to Grey’s Promotion for the e-ARC and the chance to fall hard for this story. And to J.L. Berg: what a way to kick off a series.

Mark your calendars for October 14th, because Fire is about to ignite your bookshelf.

Run, don’t walk. This one’s a must-read.

J.L. Berg completely stole my heart with Fire. This book was my 1st one by this author and if was everything I crave in a romance — emotional, raw, and so incredibly flirty it made me blush more than once. From the very first page, I could feel the heat between Zara & Hendrix — Their connection is familiar, intimate, but also burdened by past regrets and unsaid things. They had me smiling and rooting for them from the moment they bumped back into each other.

As they open up, past wounds and fears resurface. They push each other, test boundaries, and sometimes act out of pain. There are heartbreak moments, arguments, moments of doubt.
But also moments of tenderness, where Zara stands by Hendrix, even when it’s hard, and he begins to realize how essential she is to him.

The “no third act break-up” is my fave sub trope in romance. It suggests that though there is conflict, it can be resolved without a full tearing apart in the final act. I feel like this is what real life is about.

But beyond the chemistry (which was pure perfection), it was the emotion that got me. The way these two broken souls found light and love in each other’s chaos… They are willing to let each other heal through love. There’s something about the vulnerability in Berg’s writing — it’s soft, powerful, and beautifully human. I laughed, I teared up, and I definitely swooned my way through every page.

By the end, I wasn’t just in love with the story — I was obsessed. Fire isn’t just a romance; it’s a reminder that sometimes love is both the spark and the healing flame.

If you’re looking for a book that will make your heart race and your soul ache - while also making you grin like you’ve just been kissed senseless, Fire is it.

Thank you for bringing me into your world, I will definitely be staying a while 💙

Fire is the ultimate rock star romance, delivering on the promise of its title with a scorching, addictive intensity that demands to be read in one sitting. This standalone book kicks off the Creed Legacy series with an unforgettable, sexy, and deeply emotional story.

This book brings together Zara and Hendrix, two people whose past is already deeply tangled, forcing them back together in the most tempting of circumstances. The delicious second-chance pull is palpable, as the forced proximity and hotel room tension simmer until it boils over into electric chemistry that feels both inevitable and forbidden. Their shared history makes every glance and late-night confession land with a deeper significance, giving the whole romance those delicious “it’s always been you” vibes.

Both characters were fantastically well-written. Zara is a relatable FMC—messy, raw, and real—while Hendrix, with his tattoos and edge, is impossible not to root for, even when he’s hiding secrets. I particularly loved that this story introduced wonderful, supportive family dynamics on both sides, which added a layer of sweetness and stability to their journey.

What truly elevates Fire beyond a typical rock star romance is the raw, real handling of Hendrix’s health struggles. The way his condition and his reaction to it are written is deeply moving, exploring the heartbreak of facing a complete pivot when music is the only life you’ve ever known. It pushes Zara into tough choices that truly test the limits of love, adding immense depth to their relationship.

Overall, this was an instantly addictive read. The couple is adorable, the chemistry is fantastic, and the emotional stakes are high. I read this one in a single sitting, and I highly recommend it—you won’t be able to put it down either.

4.5 Stars!!!

Fire was everything I was hoping for! I read this book in one sitting and was sad to see it end.

Zara Valentine is a recently divorced doctor who needs a fresh start. While still dealing with her ex, Zara is forced to attend an engagement party with him to keep up appearances. There she runs into the enigmatic tattooed boy she tutored in college.

Hendrix is on the verge of success by playing bass guitar on tour with his best friend and his band on one condition. That condition is finding a doctor who will tour with them. Hendrix promises he will find a doctor with no problem. Flying high off this news, he decides to attend an engagement party for a former friend who screwed him over for a little revenge. While seeking his revenge he is happy to run into his college crush. Knowing he promised his best friend to find a doctor to travel with them, he thinks Zara is perfect for the job and it will give him a second chance to finally make her his.

You would think this is a typical trope story but it’s so much more than that. This author tackles serious themes and handles them beautifully. I loved how Hendrix and Zara dealt with their issues by helping each other find her way through the past and current troubles without making each other feel less than. How this author’s writing pulls you in and comforts you through the seriousness is amazing. And through all of this – the passion, chemistry is off the flipping charts. Wow, just wow. Lol

I hope there will be more books about family members. I’m totally hoping Cash gets a story!

You’ve got to read this book!!!

Zara is starting over after her divorce, finding herself living in her sister’s spare room, and now having to report to her ex-husband in what used to be their joint medical practice. When forced to attend an engagement party with her ex, the last person she expected to run into was the tattooed musician she used to tutor in the college library.

Hendrix is finally about to live his dreams, having a chance to fill in for a bass guitarist on tour with his best friend, his life is coming together. When he runs into the girl he fell for in the university library almost a decade ago, he can’t resist the pull she has towards him. What was supposed to end at a one night stand takes a turn when Hendrix realizes that Zara would be perfect for the role of the Tour Doctor.

While the premise of the story seemed pretty obvious: boy meets girl, boy hooks up with girl, boy forced to spend time with girl and awkwardness ensues, the reality of this book was so much more. The further we go into this story, the more we dig into their initial relationship in college, and their own lives since that time, including how Zara’s ex gradually turned her into a shell of who she used to be. We could expect Hendrix to have that cocky rock star ego, but that couldn’t be further from the truth, and watching him gradually heal Zara is absolutely beautiful. On the other hand, Zara isn’t afraid to advocate for Hendrix and do what is required to keep him safe.

I was lucky enough to get an early copy of this book for review, and truly loved it.

Yes, absolutely yes!! This was a swoony, emotional, and wildly addictive rockstar romance with a hint of second-chance energy that hit all the right notes. Packed with close proximity, off the charts chemistry, and unforgettable characters, it delivered a love story that was both sexy and full of heart.

If I love anything in a book, it's good banter! Gets me every time. The banter is sharp, the glances charged, and every interaction crackles with something more. What starts as a casual arrangement quickly unravels as their emotional bond deepens, making it clear that “no strings” was never going to last between them. The chemistry between Hendrix and Zara is undeniable from the moment they reconnect. Their spark is immediate; you can feel it through these pages!! Hendrix’s playful, confident charm perfectly balances Zara’s vibrant energy, creating a tension-filled, flirty rhythm that’s impossible to resist, I was devouring this.

What I love too is the story weaves in Hendrix’s health battles with real care and emotional weight. It was a beautiful way to connect these characters, pushing Zara to face impossible decisions and proving just how fiercely she loves.

All in all, this is a passionate, deeply felt, and unforgettable rockstar romance with equal parts heat and heart, and one that lingers long after the final page.

4.5 Stars! Fire was an impeccable read that had me laughing and happy but also contemplative when the rougher times came up. This was my first J.L. Berg read and it will not be my last. I fell in love with Zara and Hendrix and adored them both as individual characters and how they were together. Zara was someone who had obviously been hurt and had tried to conform and change herself to please her ex and the journey we saw her take to reclaiming herself was so well done and i just felt so proud of the woman we saw blossom. I loved that she was an awesome doctor and why she’d chosen to go into medicine. Hendrix also goes through a lot in this book and we see him tackle some really hard things and come to terms with things out of his control. Seeing how supportive they both are to one another during different times just shows the respect and devotion they have for one another, i loved story time! Seeing their love story play out was really amazing. I also loved the secondary characters and the family vibes we got from them all, it just made me want to go and read all the previous books related to this series and i’m bloody pumped for the rest in this series too!

Rockstar romances are my favorite

The chemistry between Hendrix and Zara is off the charts. The banter between the characters is very realistic ... the Creed siblings have their own style of banter that only siblings do. I was so happy that Zara left her controlling husband ... he was such a jerk and she desereved so much more. I felt for Hendrix that when he finally gets his big break, circumstandes beyond his control could wreck everything. A great start to a new series and I can't wait for the next book.

Zara was Hendrix's tutor in college and he had a crush on her but never acted on it. Years later Hendrix is waiting for his big break to become a rockstar. He finally gets the opportunity to fill in for the bass player in his friend's band ... all he has to do is find a doctor (for his friend's family) to go on tour with them. Zara and her husband are doctors, but their marriage is a joke. When Hendrix asks her to go on tour with a rock band, she takes it as a sign and leaves her husband. It doesn't take long for those old feelings for Hendrix to return.

This is the first book I’ve read written by J.L. Berg and I can’t stop thinking about the rest of the Creed clan and the rest of the stories I need to binge!!
She’s very talented, because the topics that are involved in this book are not lightly but she mastered and with doses of humor. Really great.
This book is about Zara, a recently divorcee and Hendrix, a musician who is fighting for his chance in the industry. They both knew each other from college, Zara used to tutor him (and back then they had a mutual crush the other ignored🙊) and now they reconnect in a party. She agrees to be the doctor in the tour Hendrix is participating and well, that flame that didn’t go out reappears strong as ever.

Tropes you can find in this book:
- second chance romance
- past crush
- shy/extrovert
- past traumas
- dual 1st person POV
- found family

This book has open door scenes that are very well written and fit in the storytime perfectly.

My ratings:
4,75/5⭐️ 2/5🌶️

I’ve received this book as an ARC and I’d like to thank the author, J. L Berg and her team at Grey’s Promotion for letting me read this book in advance and allow me to give my honest opinion.

Fresh and Sexy Rockstar Romance!!

Fire is a really fresh and exciting Rockstar romance that promises adventure and will keep you stick to the book till the end. Hendrix is hands-down one of the best MMC with golden retriever energy, and his cuteness and everything. It’s perfect and beautiful, even though it’s a second Chance romance, it’s a very open and mature story.

Zara, after being divorced went to an event with her ex-husband but sick of their pretentious conversation went t hide where she strikes with Hendrix again and from then sparks flew, Intimacy starts becoming fresh and they start feeling a sense of togetherness again on a long road trip that they decide to take on when Hendrix offer Zara something that she was unable to refuse. Hendrix who in need of a doctor to go on his band tour, offers Zara to accompany him after he got a place in band with his best friend as a guitarist.

The story is beautiful, sexy and with an MMC that is not stuck-up or being grumpy or anything, he is emotional and supportive. Zara at starting was not my favourite but as story goes on and she explores herself better, I started loving her.

Fire is a great second chance romance. It is the first story in The Creed Legacy series. I always enjoy the rockstar romance trope so much.

Zara and Hendrix knew each other in college where she tutored him. She had planned to be a doctor while he wanted to be a musician. They had become good friends but lost touch. Years later Zara has just gotten her divorce and is in a desperate time in her life. Hendrix needs a doctor for his rockstar tour. Zara decides to head out on tour with him and the band.

Zara and Hendrix are still attracted to each other. They banter so well that you can't help but love it. The chemistry between them was so good. They want to keep things casual without relationships but that doesn't work because of their chemistry and connection.

Zara and Hendrix were so good together. I loved seeing them bond and their connection. The band was good also. I look forward to more in this series.

Thank you to the author for an advanced copy for an honest review.

Thank you J.L. Berg and Grey’s Promo for the ARC.

Fire lives up to its name — a scorching, emotional, and addictive rockstar romance that burns bright from start to finish. 🎶 Zara and Hendrix’s story crackles with tension, history, and that deliciously slow-burn pull that only second chances can deliver.

Zara, a doctor reclaiming her life after heartbreak, and Hendrix, the tattooed rock legend with secrets and scars, find themselves thrown together again under the worst (and best) kind of circumstances — close quarters, one rule, and undeniable chemistry. 😏 The result? Late-night confessions, emotional chaos, and a love that’s as healing as it is destructive.

J.L. Berg blends heat with heart perfectly here — giving us a story that’s not just sexy, but raw, messy, and deeply human. Watching Zara find her strength and Hendrix bare his vulnerability was pure magic. The romance sings, the angst hums, and every page feels like a lyric you can’t stop replaying.

A solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Fire is emotional, empowering, and the perfect rockstar romance.

Fire is my first book by this author, and I was hooked by Zara and Hendrix’s story. Their story was a second chance romance that started in college. Zara was Hendrix’s tutor, but the chemistry was there from the beginning. She is recently divorced and looking to start over, but she didn’t expect the next phase of her life to be a bands’ doctor.

She agrees to go on one road trip, but the proximity of being near each other again leads to late-night confessions and a no-strings arrangement. The characters were relatable and very well written. The health issues that Hendrix had to face added to much to their story and the book. It added depth and heartbreak that really showed how much Zara loves Hendrix, but yet also want him to be healthy. I loved the Creed family they are going to be fun to get to know. I am ready to dive into more of this series.

Great start for The Creed Legacy!
I really liked that this story doesn’t rely on unnecessary drama. It’s entertaining, fun, and lighthearted—even while touching on serious themes in a respectful and mature way.

Watching Zara blossom and find herself again was so satisfying. And I loved that Hendrix isn’t the typical already-famous, untouchable male lead (which I usually enjoy, but it was refreshing to see something different). Instead, we get to watch him push through challenges and work toward his dreams. That mix of confidence and vulnerability made him feel real and easy to connect with.

The relationship between Zara and Hendrix is beautifully developed, it grows naturally and feels genuine from start to finish. And the side characters? So much fun. Seriously, are Asher and Cash getting their own books? Because I’m going to need them yesterday.

Thank you J.L. Berg and Grey's Promotions for this ARC

Zara is leaving her toxic ex. Hendrix is finally getting the chance to play bass with Manic at Midnight.

When the band requires a doctor to go on tour with them, Hendrix asks Zara to join them. With the perfect way to get away from her ex-husband, Zara goes on tour with the band.

One hot night between old college crushes will surely stay just one night, right?

This was my first rockstar romance and it did not disappoint! I loved seeing the relationship play out between Zara and Hendrix. The flirty banter between the two, and the other band members, was so fun! Watching these two care for each other in multiple ways was beautiful!

“Once there was a rock star who fell for a ridiculously hot doctor… and she set his world on fire.” 🔥

The little preview at the end of Fire has me impatiently waiting for the next book!

I'm really liking this new series the band the family dynamic and having never read the author before I'm glad I did I definitely need to read more books by this author. Zara she's Fiesta but in a predicament divorced in debt living with family she needs a break in more then one way she just never expected the hot college guy she used to tutor and had a major crush on to be that chance the one that will help her find herself again bring back her fire and find a second chance when she never expected one. Hendrix finally his big chance but he needs a doctor to go on tour with him and the band he finds the perfect one his Tutor in College this one got away because the timing was wrong he's waited along time to put a label on them so is that timing right. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via GreysPromotion and this is my honest review.

Read it in one day because it was so good

I'm so glad Fire is the first book in The Creed Legacy series, because now I know there will be more of the Creed family stories from JL Berg. Zara Valentine and Hendrix Creed met in college when nerdy Doctor-to-be Zara tutored musician Hendrix. Fast forward to now when freshly divorced Zara is trying to shake loose her ex (and his family), and Hendrix is about to get his big break as a musician. Unfortunately, Hendrix won't get his big break unless he can provide a doctor to go on tour with the band. Then he runs into Zara and persuades her to become the tour doctor which solves both their problems. You need to read their story because it's a good one-fast moving and full of heat. I can't believe I am just finding JL Berg's books-I have no idea how I missed them. She includes plenty of heat, believable characters, and fast-moving action. I read Fire in a day - I do read very fast but this really hooked me. I definitely want to read more.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Zara and Hendrix’s story.
Zara needs a fresh start as she has hit rock bottom as she is recently divorced, and living in her sister’s spare bedroom. At a party Zara meets Hendrix, whom she used to tutor in college. When Hendrix agrees to be the temporary bassist for his best friend’s rock band, they need a doctor to tour with the band, and he calls Zara.
This is a well written easy to read story, with found family, friendships, emotions, tension, secrets, forced proximity, second chances, opposites attract, humour, witty banter, forbidden attraction, sizzling chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, heartfelt, and fun, rockstar romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

ARC review. This is my first time reading J.L. Berg and I was not disappointed in the least! What I loved most about this story is the honesty between Hendrix and Zara. It felt real. The slow realization of what is in front of you and how priorities shift was realistic and not an overkill.

Their story is sexy because even though Hendrix is a rock star, he was human. His flaws were real and he accepted them. And Zara! Omg you go! I love seeing a story where you have a strong ass woman realize her potential and worth but still loves being protected. And how Hendrix treats her? Please excuse me while I fan myself! They are the perfect match!

This book had so much potential, an emotional storyline, strong characters, and plenty of chemistry but it didn’t fully hit the mark for me.

I really enjoyed the concept and the tension between the main characters, but at times the pacing felt uneven and some moments that could’ve packed a big emotional punch ended up feeling a little rushed. Still, the writing style was easy to fall into and the romance had its sweet (and steamy) moments.

If you’re looking for a quick, emotional read with a mix of drama and heart, Fire is worth checking out, just not quite a five-star spark for me this time.

I really enjoyed this book, the more pages I turned, the more I loved it. Im a real sucker for a rock star romance, and this book checked off all the boxes for me. Loved Hendrix and Zara's chemistry, adored Zander and Elena's relationship, found the band heartwarming with how they all cared about each other, and what can I say about the Creed Family siblings! Definitely some pretty funny moments in this book, but definitely some touching and emotional moments between this amazing cast of characters. This is a new author for me, and I'm very excited about the next installment in this series.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

I adored this book! The chemistry, the emotional depth, the character growth. Exceptional!

Zara and Hendrix have such a flirty and fun dynamic which captured me from the beginning. Their banter is hilarious. The emotional maturity and support from Hendrix is what dreams are made of. They both bring out the best in each other.

Their shared history and back stories make such an impact. The journey they go on is just beautiful. Complex and emotive.

Both of their families are so supportive and amazing. Then the band members add even more perfection to this big family.

Can't wait for the next book. Give me more!
