SPACE TRACTOR: And Other Science Fiction Short Stories

Rate this book
From the mind of Josh Jennings comes a genre-bending collection of speculative stories that veer from the absurd to the poignant, the hilarious to the horrifying. Space Tractor and Other Science Fiction Short Stories gathers strange tales from strange futures—where spaceports smell like diesel, cloned meat keeps the undead from eating the living, and grief can travel faster than light.Inside these pages, you'll a grizzled farmer piloting heavy machinery across the vacuum of space, a pair of detectives solving crimes in a world that’s trying to forget the whole "undead" thing ever happened, a quiet Antarctic research team haunted by something colder than the ice outside, and many more.

Whether you're a fan of classic sci-fi, modern dystopia, speculative noir, or dark humor, this collection delivers a full payload of what-if, what-now, and what-on-Earth.

Bold, thoughtful, and utterly unpredictable, Space Tractor is science fiction with grease under its nails and stars in its eyes.

This collection is a masterclass in how an author can write in several different styles and voices. Each story, no matter the length, had a unique voice behind it, such that it could be said they were written by different people. Some stories were serious, some hilarious and all were entertaining. "Space Tractor" had me laughing out loud while "Welcome Home" brought a tear to my cynical eye. I look forward to reading more from Josh Jennings.

A delightful read with something for anybody. If one story doesn't tickle your fancy the next one definitely will. The stories have a perfect length and are each uniquely intriguing.
