O. M. G. Wow. I have no words. Give me a minute to process. This was book 2 in this series. And just wow.
So this is the continuation of book 1 Obsidian Dreams featuring Zara aka Red as your mfc, Damien aka Blade, Sebastian aka Raven and last but not least Alec aka Shawdow as our morally gray, BDSM loving mmc’s.
Please read the trigger warning as this book does contain knife play, voyeurism, exhibitionism, public sex, stocking, abuse, hunting, PTSD, kidnapping etc.This book also has mmmf, MF, mfm, and mm scenes.
So when we left off in book 1 Zara finds her company has been bought out and she is meeting her new boss. Which happens to be none other than Damien Hawthorne aka Blade. She is shocked and feels like she is being set up. Her weekend of play was supposed to be a one and done and now she is standing in front Blade waiting to hear if she is getting fired or not.
So juicy! This story picked up beautifully from book 1. Ahhh! Ok so then in waltzes Alec Langston, lawyer extraordinaire with paperwork for Damien and very unexpecting to find his new favorite plaything standing in the office with Damien.
As she literally runs away from work to compose herself she tries to figure out what is going on. But has no choice to go back to work the next day. She finds none other than Sebastian in her office doing naughty things in her desk chair.
I love the dynamic between the four of them. The fact that she is running from a past that was abusive in the BDSM world only to find herself thrust back in with not one but three dominating males who want to share her is insane. She fights for a long time but the urge to submit is too strong.
As she is trying to understand how to feel when she is with the three men her stocker makes an appearance to remind her who she belonged to first. This part of the story was so twisty that it made my head spin.
I love the coming to terms for Alec as he has always loved Sebastian but now feels this strong connection to Zara as well and ha to work through those feelings.
Damien has to learn that Zara needs all of them plus space to process which is hard for him as the overbearing dominating Alpha male. He just wants to take care of her but she sees it as possession and not protection.
Sebastian is learning his place in this 4 person relationship but is all in. He is having issues like Alec about his feelings when it comes to Zara.
None of them really expected to keep her and she definitely thought it was a one and done weekend. It was amazing and everything she never dreamed of but as she get sucked deeper into their world she has to learn to submit in order to find her happiness with these three. And the three of them have to learn to show her she is loved and all the want is what’s best for her without making her feel like she caged.
If you like dark romance this is definitely for your TBR list. This had all the yummy elements I love and the characters are so amazing. A. Riebold does an amazing job bringing you into their world and making you feel what they feel. It does have a happy ending and I do wonder what their future looks like later on. Maybe a short continuation is in order.

"Blade..." I mumble, my heart racing as memories flood back. "Actually, it's Damien Hawthorne," he says, interjecting with a smirk before I can finish my thought. We pick up right where the first book, Obsidian Dreams, ends, with our Zara meeting face-to-face with Blade, aka Damien Hawthorne, the new owner of her marketing firm and her new boss! This is the story of Zara figuring out what she truly wants, why she runs from it, and whether she is ready to shed the past to become her true self.
Coming face-to-face with Damien Hawthorne was not what Zara expected on a Monday morning, nor could she have predicted she would also meet Shadow, Alec Langston, the well-known attorney, the same morning! Zara is still reeling from the phenomenal weekend she had at the same time, while being annoyed and scared of meeting those men who turned her world upside down.
Later that day, when Alec gets home, he tells Sebastian, Raven, they met Red, and of course, he is a bit jealous. Not the jealousy you would think, more of the "I missed out" jealousy, and our dear cybersecurity guru, Sebastian Brooks, intends on seeing Red for himself!
As Zara is slowly stepping into the life that is a comfort for Damien, Alex, and Sebastian, there is one thing that is continuing to hold her back.

You have to read book 1 Obsidian Dreams before this book and please please please make sure to read the trigger warnings as there are some things that I am ok with that others will not be ok with it.
The FMC Zara who goes by “Red” was introduced to Obsidian Dreams and the owner “Blade” and his best friends “Raven” and “Shadow” to fulfil her desires and discover new ones she didn’t know she had for the BDSM world. There were no names given and the men were masked and no strings attached so it was supposed to be a “one-and-done weekend” if you will, but when she went to work only to discover that her new boss since her employer was bought out is Damien who she already intimately knows is “Blade”. So will he let it go that she is now his employee or pull her into his world with his best friends Sebastian and Alex.
This book was really awesome, had a great storyline, gave more of the characters that helped to explain things and the reasons they acted the way they did. Not gonna lie as the spice on this book was pretty hot and the trauma that Zara had to overcome was rough but there was character development even on her part. This series is a must read for those that enjoy dark romance with some taboo thrown in.

Thankfully, Book 2 starts where book 1 ended with a big surprise for Zara, our FMC. After her anonymous romp in the woods, she is blindsided, and most of the book is her trying to figure out her new normal.
We find out that Zara has had trauma in her past that is being dredged up with the new dynamic of the group in the “real world”.
As the days pass, we learn more about each MMC and their relationships outside of the one they have with Zara. They are still as obsessed with her as book one, so they decided how to slowly bring her into their world without scaring her away.
Slowly, as the foursomes' lives start to overlap and this causes their previous situationships and other ghosts from their past to start causing trouble.
We finally learn of Zara’s past and how some of the key players in the book have been working together to mess up everyone’s lives.

When I tell you this book was absolutely delicious 🤤🤤🤤🤤 boy I am not joking! The spice, the love, the devotion, the submission! From the first pages 8 was hooked lost in their world of passion and I couldn't put it down! The dynamic of these 4 is delicious and expected but unexpected all at the same time! She keeps you wrapped in their world and you never wanna leave! I am so sad it's over but delicious enough to read again!

I was so excited when I saw A. Riebold was doing a second book in the Obsidian series. The story that evolves between Red, Shadow, Blade and Raven. Red's past has her hesitant to get in a relationship with anyone, let alone 3 someones. But these men are so patient with her, going at her pace, even though Blade wants her total submission. The passion, spice, tenderness and devotion in this book are unmatched. I am not going to spoil it for you, but it's aboslutely a must read.

Gahhhhh!!! This book was amazing! Book 2 in the series and I was so excited to continue the story with these amazing characters! If you love dark romance with reverse harem this book series is an absolute must-read! I seriously could not nor did I want to put this book down. The FMC is amazing and a character that is easy to relate to. These men, lord have mercy. Just delicious perfection. Do yourself a favor and just dive in!

I really enjoyed book 1 but book 2 was a dnf for me at 26%. I hate petty jealousy between women. I hate that the guys just tossed out the other woman like yesterday's garbage. I hate all of the internal monologue detailing the main characters inner struggles with being a sub. The first book was short and sweet ... this was not.

Where do I begin?
The spice was spicing.
The why choose had me in a chokehold.
The possessiveness not only from our men but our leading lady was chefs kiss. I really enjoyed this. But Paul.. didn’t enjoy him at all and I felt his uh demise was short. Like everything he put her through that was just short and sweet. Am I happy he’s no more? Def.
I loved the story and the end… did we have a HEA or was that a clever cliffhanger? I have questions and I need answers. I def recommend everyone read this book! I wanted to do as spoiler free as I could lol.

Just as amazing as the 1st book! I know that this book is going to live in my head rent free for AWHILE.
