The Artifact
Two-hundred years after the Great War devastated humanity, Forager Jael Lightbringer scours the treacherous upper-world for artifacts. The energy contained in these pieces of history are essential to power the solar generators keeping the underground city of Jyato thriving. During one of her expeditions to the upper-world Jael retrieves an unusual jade statue which houses a sinister spirit. Her mentor is killed while trying to harness the artifact's energy, and a strange vision reveals that the statue is the cause of his death. She also learns that the spirit has plans to spread more destruction and death among her people. With no other options, Jael is forced to create an unlikely alliance in order to destroy the statue and save her home.
