a two-day page-turner. THE PUBLIC SCHOLAR both shows & tells how to write engagingly, succinctly, & urgently, through both personal & practical examples selected intentionally. provides models of pitches & structures, too. grateful to David Perry for such skilled, compassionate work in writing it. the last line states the book’s aim to hold the doors open- THE PUBLIC SCHOLAR overwhelmingly succeeds at its goal. a must-read for academically trained writers aiming to reach wider audiences!
