*To the reader: This is NOT the typical MC romance. It IS the story of how a man who happens to be in a MC club falls for his lawyer. It IS the story of how a lawyer, an ICE agent and a MC club are thrown together by unavoidable circumstances and forced to work together for the good of all involved. If you are a die-hard MC fan looking for a die-hard MC romance novel this may NOT be the book for you. This is the introductory book to (Dauntless MC) series. Though it is the story of Talon and Grace, it also has 3-4 other stories interwoven within the story line in order to introduce you to characters you will see in future Dauntless MC books.
If you do not like that many story lines in a book, this may not be the book for you.*
You met Talon in 'Don't Judge a Book' and you asked for his story...this is it.
Talon: She walked into my world when I least expected it and like a sucker punch to my gut she knocked the wind from me. The last thing I need is some do-gooder feeling sorry for me and taking my case. I made the mistake of thinking she was here because she had a good heart— what I didn’t know… is the woman has heart…period.
She’s going to need it because now the president of Dauntless MC is insisting she not only take over my case—but every legal case any one of the brothers have—now and in the future. He’s not the kind of guy you say no to.
Grace: I walked into that jail to help a man I believed needed it. Whether I made a mistake that day or not is yet to be seen. One thing is for sure…I have been immersed into a world I know nothing about… against my will.
Whether I like it or not, I need this arrogant man who goes against everything I believe as a strong professional woman. I’m nobody’s old lady, I’m nobody’s fool, and I’m damn sure nobody’s property. What I am is…legal representation for the Dauntless MC chapter. My name is Grace. Welcome to my world.

To keep up with all things Suzanne Steele you can find her on Facebook and her wordpress blog. Everything there is up to date. She loves her beautiful readers.
Suzanne Steele is an Amazon Bestselling Author and television host for a TV program in the Charlotte NC area. She focuses on volunteer work and is very heavily involved in giving back to her local community. The month of October will be spent focusing on breast cancer awareness.
Suzanne has a penchant for writing about dark characters with twisted behavioral patterns. If you're looking for the typical romance, this is probably not the author for you. Her characters are very alpha in nature and many times they operate under obsession for the object of their affection; rather than love. Though she does believe in happily ever afters, her characters many times have a bumpy ride getting there.
She also writes under the pseudonym Stormy Dawn Weathers for her writings that aren't so darkly laced with a true realism of shock and awe. Suzanne Steele does not believe in holding back when it comes to writing about how dark and depraved her characters are in the core of their primal natures.

I read this because of a recommendation that it was AWESOME, IMO it should have said AWFUL! The sad part is that I read the 2nd book to see if it was any better, unfortunately no luck.

The writing style was very choppy, no real background, insta-love.

Very good MC read!

First I must say that I was skeptical before reading this book. I have read a few other books from Suzanne and they were very dark alpha reads, but I really did enjoy this one. I am a sucker for MC books and she didn't disappoint with this one. Talon was very alpha and a hard core biker who knew what he wanted and always got it. Plus you get POVs from other people during the book. I like how I knew what everyone else was thinking. Plus the book sets you up.for the next in the series. No cliffhanger with an HEA. Would recommend if you love a good MC book.

Good Read

I really like the way you meet one character that wraps around. Into another book. I first read "Don't Judge A Book" It was a Very good read on its own. This book is about one of the minor characters in the other book.

I've read a lot of MC books. Some dark and gritty, some light and fun. This book is dark, gritty, and confusing. You think that you are reading a story about Talon and Grace, but really you have so many storylines going on at once. When it starts out you think it's just about a wrongly accused biker falling for the lawyer. Then you have a club girl after Talon's affections. Then the suspense would be catching the dirty cop. This cop named Derrick is the one who is after the club. He wants them to pay him to keep his mouth shut. We all know that they are not going to stand by and be told what to do by a dirty cop. This storyline becomes interesting because in the mix of this, Grace and Talon develop feelings. Talon is a dominating man, but you like him because he cares for Grace even if he is a little controlling.
All of a sudden in drops this escaped convicted serial killer after Grace. There really was no back story, it is just there. This one entangles the MC and Derrick. This is where their forces combine and a solution is formed. Thus ending the feud between Derrick and the MC. Thanks bad guy.
Then you have the unrequited affections of Grace's coworker. Evidently fate has it out for this MC. Not only is the coworker after Grace, but he will use any means necessary to get her. That comes in the form of a hit man.
By the end of the book, you have the club president's old lady being stalked. All this is going on and as a reader you are expected to follow it. These storylines would have been better if they were broken up into different books. As a reader I found myself getting dizzy from all the jumping.
I'm not trying to bash on the author. I think that she has great concepts for different books. Its just that she may have been a little over zealous with this one. If it was toned down, she would have had a fantastic book.

I wanted to like this book more than I did. I don't mind an alpha male, or BDSM, but it needs to be done a certain way. When Grace steps into a world she doesn't know by mistake, she's stuck being Talon's property to keep her safe, and at his side, which is where he wants her. Talon had a heavy handed controlling personality I never got into. Mostly because there was no talk about what he'd do before hand, no negotiation and it seemed to me, no choice for Grace at all. That didn't sit well with me anymore than her habit of rolling over and taking it. A female lawyer in a male dominated field and firm who does pro bono work would have more spine.
Sure she might like to be submissive in the bedroom, but only after she knew the man. This went hyperspeed without filling in the blanks that make two people fall in love with one another. That aside, the plot was fresh, interesting, and well layered. There were a lot of different player with opposing end games which made for a page turning read.

Lots of different POV's in this book, you of course have the main characters (Talon and Grace) but then you have the POV's of other people in the club, ICE agents and a Serial Killer. The story it's self is a bit dark however with all the POV changes I didn't feel that it went in depth enough to really get that feeling across. It was interesting to see the relationships between Talon and Grace and then The two ICE agents as the POV's went back and forth. I might have gone for a higher rating but with the lack of depth and connection that I felt with the main characters and with the story continuing on with various plots after the original had ended I'm going with 3 stars.

Talon is a rough biker and a total control freak alpha ,Grace is a good hearted strong headed lawyer with control issues of her own add those two together and it can get explosive. We got to meet some new characters and even got a glimpse of Miller. There were multiple different pov's with there own part/life going on. With this being Talon and Graces story I wish we would've got a little more from them but all in all this was a good read.

terrible

I understand that this is an introductory book written to introduce us into the world of this MC. However as it seemed to give you the history of each main character, I can't see how there will be many books in the series.

This book was not well written. The author needs beta readers and an editor ( or at least better ones).

Save your time and money - there are plenty of well written books out there. This is not one of them.

this book was a clusterfuck of ADHD, biker novels, thrillers and smut. there was no cohesiveness and none of the plot lines were developed properly. It felt like a bunch of novellas shoved together.

more thoughtout review to come when its not 1230am.

I didn't like the writing style at all, it felt far too simple and more write by numbers. There seemed to be many different stories but no depth. I really feel each storyline could have been so much more... I truly don't get the 4 stars

Extremely difficult to finish

The book feels like 5 short stories in one with no separation. I thought the author was channeling a person with dissociative identity disorder on meth and bad mushrooms. The characters had no real opportunity to develop their personality nor their stories. Not an author that I will read again.

Hunted is the first in the Dauntless MC series, which is just getting started. Grace is a gutsy pro bono attorney who is hell bent on bringing down a dirty ICE agent. In order to do that she has to convince Talon, who has been wrongfully convicted, and is serving time, to let her represent him. Talon is the treasurer of the Dauntless MC. He is a mountain of a man, American Indian, with raven black hair down to his ass – he is of course heart-stoppingly beautiful. When Talon and Grace appear before the Judge making allegations against a federal agent, the Judge releases Talon into Grace’s custody. Grace takes Talon to the MC compound, thinking she will just drop him off – Talon insists she come meet the MC president, Tiny (who is, of course, anything but tiny). Tiny decrees that Grace – “Lawyer Lady” – will be Talon’s property. Grace isn’t really sure what this means, and all Talon tells her at first is that she’s going to be spending some time at the compound (news to her!) and the compound can be a crazy place – that by making Grace Talon’s property it will be hands off to anyone but Talon.

Grace leaves the compound confused by her feelings for Talon. He’s a client, which means in no uncertain terms – hands off – and he’s a biker, a lifestyle that Grace knows nothing about. Grace’s colleague, Luke (who is clearly in love with Grace – clearly to everyone but Grace) has told Grace that the Dauntless MC are a criminal enterprise even if they are innocent of the crime that sent Talon to prison. Grace doesn’t stay confused for long (what a relief!), and she doesn’t worry about the serious ethical violation of being romantically involved with a current client either. There’s nothing non-or even semi-consensual about the sex between Grace and Talon – Grace is all in.

Grace grew up with a single mother after her father left them to start a new family, and she immediately takes to the strong sense of family and community in the MC compound. The MC for its part welcomes Grace with open arms, all except for one little sweet-butt named Red who has had her sights set on Talon.

Meanwhile, the dirty ICE agent, Derrick, is busy playing BDSM games with his partner Justine, a trust fund baby who would never have looked twice at his bad boy persona if he hadn’t blackmailed her concerning her ill-advised correspondence with a serial killer. That same serial killer attempted correspondence with Grace in an effort to entice her take on his case. Unfortunately, that serial killer has broken out of jail.

All of the above storylines are satisfactorily wrapped up without feeling rushed about 60% of the way through the book, but the story, like life, seamlessly moves on. This is a good MC book, and bodes well for this new series. I gave Hunted 5 stars for lots of hot sex and lots of tight storytelling – this is Suzanne Steele at her absolute best.

This book had a huge amount of promise when it first started. I had a hard time putting it down and I loved the idea of a biker in prison getting out. What turned into a smoothly paced book because a story with too many stories going on at once, clunky plot arcs, and men that talked way too much about they were going to do so when they actually happened I was like meh. There were moments I thought were lost because we were busy jumping back to the other storyline. I get that the author wanted to interest the plot devices, but it all got lost. If the book was focused on one situation then it wouldn't have felt a bit unbalanced. The intimate moments came off as a bit rushed and like I said there was just too much talking in it. I really wanted to fully enjoy the book but I found myself struggling to finish because it went over the top between the MC, serial killer, and sadist undercover agent. It was overkill. Some people can blend genres but this got lost in uneven writing.

5.0 out of 5 stars TALON & GRACE !!, August 5, 2015
By jennifer finn
This review is from: Hunted (Dauntless MC Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
This is the first book in the Dauntless MC series. I liked Talon in Don't Judge a Book so I was excited to see his story & I can't resist a good MC book. Talon is the Treasurer for the Dauntless MC & he is in jail on trumped up charges when he first meets Grace, his beautiful attorney. Grace is a very kind hearted attorney that doesn't like the fact that a cop would plant evidence on someone just because they are a biker in an MC, so she wants to take his case pro bono. Grace works her magic with the Judge & gets Talon released into her custody. Talon informs Grace that she is now his property & that is when the real fun begins !

Returning characters from Black Rose, The Contract and Don't Judge a Book. If you have not read these books you will not be lost.
If you do not like dark erotica/romance find a different book.
I'm a huge fan of Suzanne and love her form of dark. I read Glazov's Legacy and the MC was mentioned so I decided to read this series. I just finished book one and can't wait to start book two.
You learn about many of the different character in the MC and ICE agents in the book. It has a great story line with an exciting plot.
