I spent a weekend with a mystery man I found skinny-dipping in my pool.
I had no idea I was swimming with the corporate shark trying to steal my company.
A weekend at a luxury beach house is exactly what the doctor ordered after my year from hell.
I’m looking forward to long days lounging by the pool with a good book and a glass of wine at my side. Moonlit walks along the beach are on the agenda, as is the chance to finally test out whether the cooking classes I invested in were worth the money.
All those glorious plans get tossed aside when I spot a stranger in the pool within minutes after I arrive for my peaceful escape from the big city.
I do what any New Yorker would I curse at him.
He laughs at me.
When I order him to get out of the pool, he does just that…completely naked.
It turns out the mystery man owns the beach house next to the one I’m staying in.
What was supposed to be a long weekend of solitude turns into three days of solid fun, as in he’s solid from head to toe.
We part ways with nothing but sweet memories.
Six weeks later, I walk into the most important meeting of my life and find him sitting across from me.
Holden Sheppard may be my corporate enemy, but it takes all my strength not to be charmed back into his arms and his bed.
Deborah Bladon had never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She was a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you could often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan was definitely her second home.
She cherished her family and believed that each day was a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.
Holden and Greer share a sizzling weekend getaway in East Hampton, under the agreement that it would be nothing more than a memorable fling. But fate has other plans. Six weeks later, Greer is stunned to discover that Holden is the man behind a potential buyout of her beloved confectionery company. Thrust back into each other’s lives, their electric chemistry is impossible to ignore—and just as irresistible as before. As Greer peels back the layers of Holden’s world, she begins to understand why that one weekend left such a lasting mark. With a perfect blend of passion, serendipity, and emotional depth, this story builds to a heartwarming, fate-filled conclusion that left me completely satisfied. An irresistible mix of heat and heart—don’t miss this one!
Another beautiful story. I just love how this author weaves other characters from previous books into the story. Yes, this is part of the Buck Boys series, but other characters and places are added into this. Sizzling chemistry, a wonderful story and a surprise near the end make this memorable.
Holden Sheppard is swimming naked in his neighbors pool out in East Hampton. Holden is calm cool and collected when a surprised Greer spots him in her rental After a proper introduction they decide a wkd fling where no names, no phone numbers, no personal info would be exchanged But when Greer and her business partner arrive for a meeting ( her partner wants to sell their business) it's Holden Sheppard at the helm. This is just their beginning I loved Holden one liners he just said what he was thinking out loud
Does this story have that Deborah Bladon signature twist absolutely ! Does this story have visits from the other Buck boys yes ! Jameson ( Holden little brother) Rook , Declan and Kirby ( fan fave ) all hang out Great storyline
Such a delightful storyline. Holden wonderfully handsome confectionary CEO, is caught skinny dipping in his neighbour’s pool . Greer has rented for a weekend a house next to Holden’s . A wonderfully romantic story that unfolds. There is a lovely gentle progression that is full of deeply romantic moments , and tender family achievements. Relationships amongst families is written about, but also hidden secrets that are slowly unravelled as the story progresses. Must admit there is a twist I didn’t see coming, but a delightful HEA. This author knows how to write impact. Olive is a sweet 7 year old, that knows how to wind adults around her finger. Crete eventually gets all that she wants and a very full filling story is totally enjoyable.
I love the Buck Boys and I'm sad this is the final story, but they definitely went out with a bang. Holden and Greer's story was turbulent, but so heartfelt. I really enjoyed their dynamic, from a one weekend stand all the way to their happily ever after. It was great to catch up with old friends and places from previous books. The world that Deborah has created is so rich and full and her characters have so much depth. This was a sweet, sometimes steamy love story, with just enough angst to make it interesting and I loved it. But as always, it was the kids that stole the show. 4.5*
The weekend was the most relaxing and enjoyable that you were not expecting! A neighbor who surprisingly showed up in the pool of the house you rented, yet turns out he was just what u both needed. Back to your routine and life, and business. The curveballs you are thrown, drama, life, family and now a new business plan. This story is about so much more than a weekend trip, and ❤️ love. Beautiful story about finding the love of your life, your family and your forever. Absolutely loved this story. Hate this is the last of the Buck Boys.
This was everything this author always brings. It was fun, steamy, beautiful, and full of warmth and heart. I fell in love with these characters. I thought Greer was deserving of better friends but her big heart didn't care. And it is always fun to visit all the Buck Boys. This is hands down my favorite series by this author and every book is better than the next.
You can’t go wrong with a Deborah Bladon book. This one was no exception. I love the way she cleverly weaves in little details and characters from past books. She also makes sure to include little “gotcha” moments you might not expect. The H and h are always well-developed and multidimensional. You always get something special from her books. Love, love, love!
Very easy read, unsuspecting couple who meet and have electric chemistry. They share a wonderful weekend together and go their separate ways. Circumstances in business bring them together. The chemistry they share can't keep them apart. When a secret is revealed that could be complicated it only serves to drive them closer. This book gives you a feel good feeling. Deborah's books always make reading them fun.
What an amazing absolutely five star must read is the best! Love how Holden and Greer frist met the fake names hilarious! Their love story evolves with a lot of intrigue and the family dynamics are amazing The closeness love it. Olive is so sweet and the building up the few chapters made me cry! Absolutely loved this book! You rock Deborah Bladon!
What a wonderful series, the interconnected characters, the growing family, and all the Buck boys get their HEAs. The MCs are defined, likable, sexy, have secrets, and each form a connection that was unexpected, but needed. This entertaining and engaging book has twists, love, amazing family and friends. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
I absolutely loved this book! The connections and twists are amazing. Deborah writes incredible characters and all of them are intertwined somehow. I didn’t know I wanted this book until I read it. Loved, loved it! I was so happy to see Rocco again! Thank you for a wonderful story
Holden story was a pleasant surprise. I loved it. Olden and Greer were just meant to be together. They fell in love without even knowing each other’s real name. The way their lives cross so many different paths, it was destiny. I loved this story so much I can’t give any spoilers.
This book has a lovely and creative story. It just occurred to me that I was being unintentionally tongue in cheek when I called a love story about people who own candy businesses sweet. I really was just talking about the beautifully written romance here and some of the unexpected ways it touched my heart.
I enjoyed Holden and Greer’s story immensely. So much chemistry, surprise, sweet kiddos, a great group of friends, a comical meet cute. DB always manages to surprise me and love all the cameos from her other books!!! I want to read it all over again!
Out of all the Billionaire Buck Boys this one was my favorite. It tugged at my heartstrings and oh what a twist it was but such in a good way! Ms. Bladon once again makes her magic on the pages, and I hate to see the Buck Boys stories come to an end but so glad to have read them!
I do love Deborah’s books but I’ve said it b4 they are just getting too sickly, with unrealistic characters. In this book Greer and Holden are strangers who meet up and have a sexy weekend together only swapping fake names. Greer starts off as an in control, confident woman. The problem is the plot goes down hill from there and everyone is so lovey dovey perfect and even when her supposed best friend sets up to sell their company without warning Greer; Greer doesn’t get angry(which you would initially) she’s still telling Krista the best friend “I love you” Krista’s husband says “remember you love each other” it’s so sickly sweet and Greer comes across as a sap. The ending with Holden being the actual father of her adopted child is again a bit cringeworthy, I mean your best friend had slept with your lover b4 you - I think they’d need counselling, as would the child, but no, everyone is loved up, accepting of the situation and live happily ever after -I know it’s fiction but it’s too saccharine.

I absolutely loved this book, a good few twists and turns that had my hand on mouth surprised and saying the plot out loud! But I loved it, Holden, Greer and Olive! Just wonderful!
❤️"A lovely and enjoyable book. The writing was light and easy to follow, and the story kept me interested. The characters felt warm and relatable, making it a really good read. Definitely worth picking up if you want something simple and heartwarming." ❤️
I always forget how thus author captures your attention and doesn't let go until the very end. The twist gets me every time. Absolutely LOVED Holden and Greer. As always....Enjoy!!!!
Outstanding! A few twists and turns yet there was no angst!!! I absolutely loved this book. I adored the characters and got so excited when supporting friends from earlier stories appeared. So good!
