Kyla James is a beautiful, confident woman. She has two vices, champagne and sex with married men. Like most of the women in her family, being tied down and answering to a man has never appealed to her. That is, until her friend Sean Prescott presented her with an intriguing proposal. They’ve been friends and business colleagues for years, but if she accepts his proposal, they could discover something better than friendship. Is it possible for a celibate Christian man to be involved with a woman who has only been the plaything of married men? Or will she make him the next notch on her belt?
A California native, novelist Tracy Reed pushes the boundaries of her Christian foundation with her sometimes racy and often fiery tales.
After years of living in the Big Apple, this self proclaimed New Yorker draws from the city’s imagination, intrigue, and inspiration to cultivate characters and plot lines who breathe life to the words on every page.
Tracy’s passion for beautiful fashion and beautiful men direct her vivid creative power towards not only novels, but short stories, poetry, and podcasts. With something for every attention span.
Tracy Reed’s ability to capture an audience is unmatched. Her body of work has been described as a host of stimulating adventures and invigorating expression.
I loved this book. The characters are well written and real. I love the way they flirt with each other and keep you guessing who'll break first or at all. I highly recommend it.
This is the first book I have read by Tracy Reed and I was blown away. She has an amazing ability to breathe life into the characters she writes in such a way that you fell transported into the book and lives of each individual. The characters had depth, flaws, and weaknesses, that allowed them to be relatable. I greatly enjoyed the relationships between Sean, Chris, his brother and sister-in-law and DeeDee, Kyla and all the girls. They reminded me all to well to make sure you seek godly wisdom and advise and even then the advise can be diluted with our own insecurities and hang ups in life.
When I first started reading this book I was pretty judgmental of Kyla and Eric. The first few chapters do not paint either of them in a good light. They both makes unwise decisions in their life that affects multiple people. So when she starts to take an interest in Sean, I was disgusted. By the end of the book though, I was proud of the decisions that Kyla had made in her life and how God intervened.
I admired Sean for standing firm in God and not allowing himself to give into sexual temptations, but to make sure he would not be unequally yoked with a partner in life. He had a great backstory that started to unfold slowly throughout the book that really made be bond with his character. I was completely blown away with Olivia. I don't want to give anything away, but my impressions of her definitely changed by the end of the book and I was glad to see what she had in store for Eric.
Overall I would recommend this book for mature audiences only. It has strong sexual themes and elements that would be very inappropriate for anyone other than adults.
I’m giving a one star because of the unnecessary chapters 1-4. There is a better way to introduce character without being raunchy. The following chapters failed to redeem it because this relationship was a big No. It is too unbelievable. I’ve been in unequally yoked relationship and the result is more likely to be grief and regret than finding the person of your “dreams”. Definitely would not recommend this book.
Couldn't get past chapter 4. I tried to wait for it, but can't get past the pages of useless information of a 3 year relationship that is just sex. Nothing about the characters, no build of a story line. Just terrible.
Well an enjoyable tale the tables had been reversed and a woman is the strong lead character and the male was her prey. Loved it looking forward to reading other titles by this author
