Cora Silver walks through life alone not wanting to befriend a single soul. After being left on the doorstep of Child Protection Services at just one week old Cora struggles with her abandonment. Cora has been burned more times than she cares to remember and the only thing that makes her life worthwhile living is clinging onto the hope that someday she will fine her parents.


Once again she has to leave her current foster home in Idaho and is being relocated to Silver Gate, a small town in Montana, which sees snow falling for most of the year. Struggling to settle into Cooke High School and immediately taking a dislike to her foster father, Cora is unhappy. That is until Logan Hunter walks into her life. Another foster kid who Cora feels an instant pull toward. The connection between them sends sparks flying but as they fall in love they are blissfully unaware of the heartbreak that they will soon have to face.


Logan is the centre of Cora's world, the one person who has truly claimed her heart and the only person who understands her. But Logan has secret that he is forbidden to tell, especially to those he loves the most.


This is a young adult fictional story that includes mild language and sexual situations. Recommended for ages sixteen and up.

This was such an emotional read. I was book crying for quite a while through it. I loved it though. I wished there had been a little more supernatural to it, but I'm now dying to get my hands on book 2. Is it out yet??? Gah, I'm impatient :)
