An excellent idea for a version of the Bible, spoilt by two things: my edition had got big chunks of pages transposed, so the story of King David made even less sense. And the points for thought after the section for each day are horrible, threatening and scolding in nature, perpetually warning of punishments and exclusions. What happened to the gospel of love?

I was really encouraged by this 'Cover to Cover' edition. It helped me in my early days as a beginner trying to understand the Bible. With attention to details through maps, bullet points and reflections this was brilliant to use and I would recommend it.

Possibly the best version of the Bible I have read...puts the story in a different context, and adds an invaluable understanding to timelines, perspectives etc. Highly recommend reading this version at least once.

If you’ve read the Bible, try reading this one. Having it all in chronological order makes a huge difference. When I started, I thought it would help put the Old Testament into order in my mind. This book is so much more. I will never see the Old Testament in the same way again.

Probably the best chronological Bible reading guide there is, and I've tried 4 other similar materials and they are not quite as good as Cover to Cover.

Looks like I’m giving the bible 3 stars but it’s the translation and the commentators notes which let it down. In terms of how it is chronically grouped is quite good
