-------------------------
The Succubus Gift, Book 1
The history of the Clans, called the Sidhe by the Irish, stretches back to antiquity. The Goddess blesses Her people with 25 Telepathic Gifts. In addition to Telepathy, the Gifts include command over Air and Fire, Telekinesis and Teleportation. In over 2,500 years, She has never bestowed more than 15 Gifts on a single person.
Brenna’s life isn’t the same after she discovers her unusual and mysterious heritage. In addition to being a telepath, Brenna learns she has the Succubus Gift.
--------------------------------
Succubus Unleashed, Book 2
After a crash course in learning about her genetic heritage, Brenna O'Donnell has discovered what it really means to be a succubus and has learned to embrace her strange Gift. Her major concern is whether Collin will accept her for what she is.
The social season is around the corner, including events that Brenna never imagined in her wildest dreams. The succubi, representatives of the Goddess on earth, are at the center of an ancient worship. Between the romance and glistening balls of the Clan's social events, Brenna and Rebecca discover life is not secure. Telepaths from other Clans are kidnapping young girls and selling them into slavery.
-------------------------
Broken Dolls, paranormal thriller set in the world of The Telepathic Clans
Private investigator RB Kendrick makes her living nailing cheating spouses, digging up other dirt to help in a divorce, finding long-lost relatives, and occasionally sniffing out criminal activity and fraud. When she takes a job to find a missing girl, she has no idea she is headed for the most dangerous case of her career. Usually, her ability to read minds gives her an edge. But when the people she’s hunting are also telepaths, that advantage is limited.
The search takes her into the dark underbelly of telepathic society, where anything, and anyone, is for sale. She discovers that telepathic women and girls are being trafficked as the ultimate sex slaves. With people trying to kill her, she’s on the run, not knowing who she can trust. Will she find the missing girl, or become a victim herself?
-----------------------------------
Succubus Rising, Book 3
The Goddess has plans for Brenna and Rebecca, and the Goddess has a wicked sense of humor.
Rebecca Healy is a true wilder, growing up with no contact or knowledge of other telepaths. When Brenna O’Donnell, long-lost heir of the O’Donnell Clan, and the strongest telepath in history, is returned to her family, she and Rebecca form a tight bond. Brenna has it all, looks, money, power, and men falling all over her.
Rebecca isn’t jealous, but it would be nice to find someone who would really love her and stick around in the morning. She’s intrigued by a handsome South American general, but of course, he has his sights set on Brenna. Carlos de Vargas wants more than love. His Clan has its back to the wall, and they hope for an alliance with O’Donnell. An alliance that would lead to war.
-------------------------------
Succubus Ascendant, Book 4
Corwin has led Clan O’Neill for one hundred and fifty years. Nearing the end of his long life, he names a twenty-three year old girl as his heir. When Corwin dies, his son Hugh launches an open rebellion.
At Clan O'Byrne, Clan Chief Fergus's oldest son Andrew joins with Hugh and Finnian O’Neill in their rebellion. Faced with war on two fronts, and rebels using terrorist tactics that capture the attention of the human press and authorities, Brenna must fight off assassination attempts while trying to consolidate her rule.

I made silver and turquoise jewelry for almost a decade, ended up in nursing school, then took a master’s in business. Along the way I worked in construction, as a newspaper editor, a teacher, and somehow found a career working with computers.

As to my other interests, I love the outdoors, especially the Rocky Mountains. I’ve skied since high school, with one broken leg and one torn ACL to show for it. I’ve hiked and camped all my life. I love to travel, though I haven’t done enough of it. I’ve seen a lot of Russia and Mexico, not enough of England. Amsterdam is amazing, and the Romanian Alps are breathtaking. Lake Tahoe is a favorite, and someday I’d like to see Banff.

Fun enjoyable romp

Fun interesting story line, for me to much description of sex acts, but based on story line does go along with the story. Enjoyed the various characters and their various quirks. Just to much dam clothes shopping for myself and probably so for any male readers.

Female, Sex Positive World

The main character of the first two books is Brenna, a brilliant woman in her 20's who has a range of psychic gifts. The whole series combined seems like an amalgamation of urban fantasy and feminism with a heavy dollop of romance that some might, and not incorrectly, call soft core porn.

I liked it, but I was ready for it to be done by the end of book 4. It was really enjoyable to read something with such powerful female characters but by book 5, one more mention of how many men someone had sex with or another sex scene itself even with just 2 characters instead of a parade was old. Even well written sex scenes get tedious when used too frequently and it felt too formulaic. You knew opponents would be crushed and how it would happen because Brenna and her friends are all powerful.

Would I recommend it to people? Yes, but I would warn them that there really won't be any surprises left and they won't miss anything if they stop at the end of either book 3 or 4.

All five in one volume

It really makes it so much fun to read this series. When you get to the end of a book, you just turn the page and there is th ed next one. However, I hope Ms Kingsolver isn't done with the telepathic clans. Five more would be about right.

I’ve only recently discovered BR Kingsolver and found a new favorite. I’ve addictively read through all of her urban fantasies sci-fi series, as well as the only sci-fi story story of hers I could find (Border Patrol, in the Bellator collection). Here’s my review of all of them in one clump - the bottom line being that they are all easily 5 star books.

Rosie O'Grady's Paranormal Bar and Grill Series

This was the first series by this author that I read, trying it in a whim as it was free on KU and looked like fun. Oh Dear Lord was it ever. Perfect world-building with Fae, elves, vampires, mages, et. al. Perfect backstory with the world’s best assassin (our lead) funding out that she’s been lied to most of her life by the Order of the Illuminati who are actually evil and not the force for good she thought, followed by her lopping off the top tier of the Order and ending up in hiding at the eponymous Rosie O'Grady's Bar and Grill. That’s the short version. The long one is much more complex and the series itself is filled with great plot lines and a perfect story arc (though each book stands alone sequentially, ie, the work fine and end well so long as you read them in order. Addictive fun and a perfect series ender.

The Telepathic Clans Saga

This was my second Kingsolver series. It evolves around telepathic clans (no shocker there) filled with people with different sets of telepathic “Gifts” (like mind shielding) made up of a series of “Talents” (different ways to do it). There are initially 25 known Gifts. At the top are the Succubi, all female, who have a series of Gifts including the Succubus Gift (drain energy from sex, etc). Known as Druids in the Irish clans, these ladies are bad-a**. The lead here is a Druid named Brenna, but she’s so much more. While the average telepath has only a few gifts, abs the extraordinary ones have 12-15 (Druids all have a base set of 8), Brenna has all of the gifts, unheard of. Anyway, she gets into a series of adventures with action, infra and inter-clan politics, and do much more. Incredible stuff really, all set in a world very different (but equally imaginative) as the prior series I’d read, and filled with a growing cast of perfectly crafted supporting characters. Once again you can read each book sequentially stand-alone, and they end with a perfect series ender.

Chameleon Assassin

I had initially avoided this series because I tend not to like a post-apocalypse setting. In this case the apocalypse in question (atomic wars leading to massive population loss and mutations) was so far in the past that society has more or less recovered and has now passed the pre-war tech levels. Our hero here, Libby, is the coolest kick-a** dame in fiction. An assassin and thief, among other things, who has two primary mutations: she’s a chameleon (she can look like anyone or pretty much blend into the background) plus a sort of electrokenisis, and a pretty fantastic set of physical skills (don’t mess with her in a fight) and computer hacking talents. Add in another perfect supporting cast and, well, just wow. I adored this series.

Dark Streets

This is the last of the series that I read, currently on book 2 (and ending with a perfectly good “Happily Enough For Now” though I’m drooling for the next book). It’s set in a world that’s very similar to that of The Telepathic Clans (though there are some differences - Washington DC is nuked in this one) but society is different as the Magi, who beat back (to a draw) the demons who invaded once rifts between worlds opened, now pretty much rule everything. Our lead here is another kick-a** dame, a police detective who is a magitek (a rare form of magic that enables one to do magic with machinery - including computers), potential heir to one of the Ten (the ten most powerful Magi clans who basically rule the world) but also the granddaughter of the man who accidentally opened the rifts and let all the monsters, demons and fantasy beings in. The perspective is very different, part gritty detective tale, part politics and warfare on the global scale, pure urban fantasy. Fantastic stuff, really.

Border Patrol (in the Bellator collection)

This was the only pure sci-fi story I’ve read by BR Kingsolver and was frustratingly perfect. Military sci-fi, the heroine here is the commander of an assault troop unit, it was an absolute total blast (and I’ve been reading this stuff since Robert A. Heinlein’s Starship Troopers was first published, so I should know). Perfect characters and storyline. The frustration is that while it ends in a very satisfying manner, I’m massively frustrated that this was only a short story. I’m truly hoping the author turns it into the first book in a new series.

Frankly, I’m hoping that BR Kingsolver expands every series she’s written, even though most have ended with great HEAs. That’s the sign, I know, of works that are fantastic and easy to highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyable and addicting series!

So glad I bought this omnibus boxed set version. Within two chapters of book one I was HOOKED! With this box set I never had to hunt for the next in this delicious series. Take a headstrong young woman who is aware she's slightly different from everyone else, and has her special ability of knowing when other telepaths are near. Growing up basically alone after her parents deaths as a child, she suffers no fools gladly, and has learned to trust her instincts (with maybe a little unknown Divine intervention from The Goddess along the way). Poor Brennas world is turned on it's axis only to learn what the world might look like if she'd always wore rose colored glasses instead. A whole new life awaits as Brenna meets the family she never knew still existed and longs to know her. Shocking many upon meeting her as she's supposedly a replica of her deceased mum. Slowly embraced into the fold and taught her ways in this new world.... For Brenna is apparently no need telepathy.... She's a succubus... And probably the most powerful ever in existence. Political intrigue, suspense, mystery, romance, love, friendship, family and oh so much more exist in these precious pages... All told with amazing humor and filled with Resilient, strong, bawdy, witty and fearless women who kick butts and ask questions later. Nobody said becoming an instance multi multi millionaire was easy.... Especially when others lives now rest in your hands. A few slip ups along the way and a number of adventures, mishaps, and oodles of fun stuff make this series a must read. If you enjoy strong women with senses of humor and strong bonds to family and friends... Sprinkle in some fun powers like telepathy and possibly transportation minus Spock... You should kick of her shoes... Grab a glass of wine or two and enjoy the pages to come! In write this about the box set with all the books in it.... However I still stand that this review could be for any of these individual books too. Check out the first in this series and I promise you won't regret taking the time. We can all use a little sprinkle of joy, levity and all around sense of happiness. Plus it's also fun to see the occasional bad guy get the proverbial high heel up the bum! Enjoy Brenna, her friend Rebecca and their magical mystery crew.

Very good. Solid four stars

Really good series overall. I loved the characters and character development throughout. Good pacing over the majority of the books but book three dragged for me. That was the least enjoyable book for me. Books four and five got a little to politically preachy for me. The denigration of those who espouse political views that oppose the author’s was heavy at times and was off putting to me. The irony was it was completely unnecessary to the storyline. I don’t understand why authors feel it is necessary to inject politics into their books regardless of the genre. It detracts from the immersive experience they are trying to build for their readers. Not every forum should nor need to be used as a soapbox. Sorry, I’ll get off my soapbox now. Really good effort over all.

5 times five stars

We all know how it works. You see a book listing, you read the synopsis, then you got the sneak peek button, and maybe the buy button...then you read half the book, get bored, and never finish it.
Not.
This.
Time.
I started reading book one; realized I was at the end of the sneak peek, book the five book set, ate dinner, finished book one. Started number two, fell asleep, woke up, read more, had lunch, more reading, dinner, finish book two.
Basically, in the past three days, I have ripped through the five book set like a hot knife through butter.
Seriously good work....and the adoption scene made me cry.

I so loved this series and didn't want to put my Kindle down.

All these characters are telepathic and most have powers. The girls that are Goddess touched are the strongest and most powerful. They are are Brenna, Rachel and Rhiannon. Little Irina too is very powerful. Plus these women are succubus. We meet so many other telepathic individuals throughout this series and so many friends. Throughout each book they fight evil people and have to wage war too. Plus the steamy love scenes too. The men are strong and powerful in their own right, but no one is as power as the leader of the O'DONNELL clan chief Seamus. That is until is granddaughters are found.

Gifts of the Goddess explore the world of telepaths and their gifts with a new depth of magic.

This series will keep readers engaged for the length of the read with characters that are believable and have depth. The story follows two sisters as they develop a relationship with their talents and a family they never knew existed. I especially enjoyed the great use of Irish history as it God red so well into the plot. Highly recommended for those who love paranormal universes.

A magnificent world

Try it. You won't regret it.
Personally I loved every minute in books one to four. A five star review for all of them. I had a problem with book five. I found it to have some lengths in there. A moment came, where I asked myself if I wanted to end the book and or resume the reading later. I overcame that urge, and finished the book. While I loved the concept of the series and the world building, I wasn't overly fond with the end.
But try it. It will be a hell of a ride.

Epic...Failure

Unless you want to spend all your time reading about sex. I like the author very much and have enjoyed her other series, and I am a fan of several other UF series, but this is just terrible. The first book was barely readable, having several action scenes—which the author excels at—but by book two it was non-stop screwing, and I tired of it rapidly. I do not recommend this series at all.

Thoroughly enjoyed this series

This series was creative funny and psychology insightful. This author paints culture into the various worldly landscapes in a way that is symbiotic and naturally falls in line with my world views. I never really considered this when reading other authors but won't be able to stop myself from looking for it from now on...

What’s a great author doing not continuing yet!

This is a great set of books truly outrageous and entertaining, the sexual passages are intense. The interaction between the main characters grows with each book and as they all settled down together became a fantabulous force. Let’s hope more books are produced thoroughly enjoyable.

Great series

This is an excellent series! Abroad reaching story of telepathy and what their powers can evolve into. It's also a story about family that overcomes past differences to merge into a powerful group of clans in business, politics and telepathy. Sorry that this is the end of the series.

Great Series!

Writing about a Succubus, ya know there's gotta be a lot of sex! Yep, but so tastefully done. BR Kingsolver is a dynamite writer. I do love the convenience and price of this 5 book bundle.

Liked the first ones, then all the sex got boring and I didnt have it in me to finish the whole set. I loved the worldbuilding etc so I’d say it’s a very good series if you dont mind everyone having sex all the time with anyone.

The story seemed to only be about the sexual world and very little to move the story along. Don't get me wrong the story is about Succubus so some of it was very relevant but it just to much for me to finish the book.
