Let Go, Trust God, Become Who You Were Meant To Be is not a step-by-step guide to fixing your life—it’s a gentle companion for the seasons when nothing makes sense. In these pages, Rebecca Simon offers soulful reflections for anyone sitting in the in-between: between heartbreak and healing, between longing and fulfillment, between who you were and who you're becoming.
Written with softness and spiritual depth, this book is for those still praying for clarity, still carrying unanswered questions, still trying to hold it all together. It’s for the one learning to let go—not just of people, but of timelines, expectations, and everything that once defined their worth. With every chapter, you'll be reminded that you haven’t missed your moment, you haven’t been forgotten, and even now—especially now—God is still with you. You're not falling apart. You’re being remade.
I bought this book totally on an impulse after reading a quote from it, and it was such a beautiful experience. I couldn’t put it down, I just kept reading and reading, and every essay spoke to me like it was a divine message tailored just for me.
Anyone that is struggling with loss, self-worth issues, this book is absolutely going change your life and your relationships.
This book is so beautifully written! I love how poetically it connects our relationships with God. It’s a great size to bring around with you too which was a bonus while traveling! Will be coming back to this book when I need some inspiration or a pick-me-up <3
This is a beautifully written book that will call to you if you need to read it. I think I ran across a shared quotation on social media, likely Facebook, and bought it. It is the sort of book you read and pick up and read again, either snippets or chapters.
Note: Although I do not personify God and do not use "he" to reference the divine, I was not distracted by the writer's use of that trope. Language is human and thus does the best it can to talk about something that surpasses language. I can see metaphors when I need to and can find comfort in traditional language at times.
When you're not listening to God, he will put people (in this case literature) in your life for you to get a wake up call. Everything in here touched on the things I've gone through in the last 18 years. Something cracked within me while reading this. Alignment is happening and surrender is given. Thanks to the author Rebecca for being a vessel for God and accepting the assignment.
This is the first book I have read from this publishing company, Thought Catalog Books, and I now plan to read more! It was uplifting, positive, and encouraging. It was a quick read, although one readers may return to more than once. I would recommend this title.
My jaw is on the floor. This is why books are written. The kind of book that comes at the right time to teach you in ways no video, conversation, or other digestible way can. Super grateful to have stumbled upon this one
A really interesting book with insights that apply to so many situations. Several chapters really resonated with me, and it’s a great resource to revisit during different seasons of life.
