Bossing My Holiday

Rate this book
Things not on my Christmas wish list? Fake dating my billionaire Scrooge of a boss, Tristan Ouest.

But that's exactly what I'm doing and why I'm on a plane heading to Paris with him and my other boss, co-CEO Braxton Hicks.

According to Braxton, this is the perfect arrangement. I act as the doting girlfriend to get Tristan's matchmaking, old-money family off his back and he pays off the large debt I have from caring for my grandmother.

Except Braxton has other things in mind with this trip…like sharing me with Tristan.

And the things they want to do to me put them straight on the naughty list.

I should say no to all of this. After all, I need my job and sleeping with both of my bosses is a recipe for disaster. Especially when things start to get messy and complicated.
But they don't just want me as a holiday treat. They want more.

Now they're bossing my holiday. And before I know it, I'm in way over my head--falling for my grumpy fake boyfriend and his sinful best friend.

Bossing My Holiday is a standalone holiday, fake relationship, forced proximity in Paris, spicy workplace MFM romance with a swoony why-choose style HEA! It's delicious holiday fun for anyone who likes being on Santa's naughty list—and for anyone who dreams of two men worshiping them at once.

Let's just say this book had me thinking about more than just the Eiffel Tower's height. 😉😏

This sweet and spicy MFM workplace holiday romance was such a fun Parisian escape. Waverly, Tristan, and Braxton's story is the perfect mix of flirty chaos, fake dating, and emotional depth. I devoured it in one sitting and couldn't get enough of the chemistry between these three.

I loved Waverly's fiery determination and how she balanced the grumpy, guarded Tristan with the charming, golden-retriever energy of Braxton. Their personalities clashed and connected in all the right ways. Tristan's fake dating proposal was the start of something much more, and watching the tension between them finally snap was absolutely delicious. The mix of sweetness, heat, and vulnerability made their connection feel real and irresistible.

Set against a dreamy Paris backdrop, this story has everything you want in a festive why-choose romance: one bed, fake dating, fancy events, sizzling spice, and two devoted bosses who know exactly what they want.

This ménage à trois was fun, flirty, and irresistibly romantic—leaving me grinning and daydreaming about my own Paris holiday love story.

OK, now I get the Braxton Hicks thing. Yes, it is indeed joke-y and explained in the book. This was sweet and hot.

Is Braxton Hicks supposed to be a joke name orrrrr????

Bossing my Holiday was a sweet and spicy MFM workplace holiday romance that had me blushing and swooning from start to finish. Waverly, Tristan, and Braxton’s journey to HEA was such a romantic Paris whirlwind, and I devoured this book in one sitting. I admired Waverly’s feisty strength and undeniable passion to do what she needed to take care of her family. I loved her easy attraction to Braxton, but her reluctant more enemies to lovers tension with Tristan, who both just happened to be her bosses. Tristan’s fake dating proposal was hard to resist, and I loved how determined he was to make his family happy no matter the costs. Plus, his best friend willing to share friendship with Braxton was hot and irresistible. Braxton’s charismatic, flirty demeanor was hard to deny, and I loved how all three of them found a way to be together. The spicy connection between these three is downright sinful and constantly had me blushing!

Overall, I enjoy this book! If you are a fan of a MFM romance with two hot dedicated bosses willing to share, a sassy dedicated assistant ready to try new things, fake dating, holiday trips to Paris, close proximity, shopping trips, fancy events, meeting the family, all the spicy threesomes, love declarations, and a HEA that will leave you feeling festive and happy, then you will love Waverly, Tristan, and Braxton’s story. I always look forward to more from J. Saman.

“Quit bossing my holiday. This is too much.”

This is J. Saman’s first MFM and i seriously hope it will not be her last! This as the perfect spicy holiday read !!

Waverly Dobbs is the assistant to the grumpy CEO Tristan Ouest. She puts up with his attitude daily but now she is being promoted to be the assistant to the other CEO as well, Braxton Hicks, who is definitely the fun one. Her work load is about to double in the new year but first she is going to Paris with them for the holidays.

A holiday trip with her bosses is not what she had planned and what transpires is so much more than she ever could have imagined. I loved these three together and they were off the charts spicy!

“We share, but we don’t share what’s ours with others.”

🔥: “Come for us, Waverly.”

❤️ Boss/Employee Romance
❤️ Fake Dating
❤️ Forced Proximity
❤️ MFM / Why-Choose
❤️ Holiday Romance
❤️ Paris Setting
❤️ Multiple POVs
❤️ Chaotic Family Side Characters

Bossing My Holiday was a fun way to start my holiday reads. Tristan is the perfectly grumpy billionaire Scrooge, Braxton brings the golden-retriever charm (his name still gets me), and Waverly is the sunshine assistant whose humor keeps everything bright. The multiple POVs worked well, especially with a trio this messy.

The book leans into humor and heat, and once Tristan and Braxton float the idea of “sharing one person,” the story picks up fast. The Paris setting adds to the holiday mood, and Waverly’s reactions kept me laughing. The side characters were a great addition too, Grand-mère is chaotic in the best way and steals every scene she’s in.

Some of the emotional development and workplace tension could have gone deeper, which is why this settled at 3.5 stars for me, but overall it’s a playful, festive, steamy holiday escape with a lively cast and plenty of spice.

Spoilers ahead

I think to get my ménage fix I need to stick to novella authors like Jessa Kane or Alexa Riley etc (no shade to this author? because I took a shot on this hoping for sweet sexy spice . I expected a quick read and this was my first book by this author and my first book for December 2025 😭.

We have Tristan and Braxton billionaire best friends and partners and Waverly who's Tristan's assistant. They've wanted her for years but because she works for them they've never made a move. As they're about to go to Tristan's family's home for Christmas and his parents are once again planning on matchmaking a plan is formed to hire Waverley to be his fake girlfriend. It helps her out of a financial jam and held Tristan stay out of his mother's machinations. But time together in the city of love finally propels the men to do what they've wanted too for years..... make her theirs.

*******
I didn't like the fact that they continued sleeping with other women even though they wanted her.
I absolutely did not need to know that they've shared women many times previously
I didn't need to know Braxton was a manwhore especially as he's the one claiming he's been in love with her
I didn't need to know that Tristan was a dick to her to avoid his feelings..... he's not a 5 year old.
I didn't need them still questioning the relationship while they're together.... couldn't they idk maybe communicate?
Tristan and Waverly were equally annoying with their self doubts about each other
The sexy times weren't sexy at all 😭😭😭
Braxton the manwhore was my favourite mc

All in all this wasn't for me, as of right now I'll leave this unrated

This is a fantastically fun standalone romance with a great list of tropes – billionaire, boss/employee, grumpy/sunshine, fake relationship, enemies-to-lovers, Christmas, it’s set in Paris and, of course, it’s MFM (where they’re all about her). It’s wildly sexy and gorgeously swoony, and I loved this book!

Tristan and Braxton are billionaire CEOs of their own pharmaceutical company. Tristan is the serious and broody businessman while Braxton is the fun and charming science guy. They’re about to travel to Paris for Christmas, where Tristan will face up to the expectation of his family to not only move to Paris to take over the family hotel business, but to marry, and they’ve got a bunch of women lined up for him to meet. His salvation comes in the form of his assistant, Waverley.

Waverley is smart and independent, and she’s struggling under the weight of family debt. When her boss offers her a lifeline, she reluctantly accepts his offer to act as his fake girlfriend in front of his family during their business trip to Paris, for a very healthy bonus which will pay off her debts. But it soon becomes clear that her bosses – Braxton in particular – have something more in mind.

I pat the chair directly between Tristan and me. The one I intentionally left open when I sat down. “We need to present a united front. Two CEO’s, one exceptional assistant.”
… Waverley hesitates, then gathers her things and moves to the chair between us.
“Perfect,” I say, leaning back in my chair. “How does it feel, Waverley, to be the filling in our corporate sandwich?”
Tristan nearly chokes on his coffee and has to wipe a dribble of it from his chin. “For fuck’s sake.”

Braxton and Tristan are as close as brothers, and they have shared women in the past but never really gotten emotionally invested. With Waverley, everything is different. Braxton is unabashedly in love with their assistant, and he has decided that their trip is the perfect time to claim her – ideally with Tristan as part of the relationship, he just has to get him to agree.

“If you’re willing and wanting, there could be more here than any of us has allowed ourselves to imagine.”

It’s such a great set-up, and the dynamics between these three are so freaking good. Braxton and Waverley have an easy friendship which quickly becomes more as Braxton makes his move. Waverley and Tristan’s relationship is more complex. He is controlling and moody and she hates him, yet he is secretly harbouring feelings for her but knows that he can’t get involved due to the expectations of his family. It’s a melting pot of lust and feelings and the chemistry is wild, and I loved watching these three bicker, tease and banter, and find their way to exploring something really special.

I feel like I could have this. Like maybe it’s my turn, and life is too fucking short not to go after what I truly want. I don’t even know what my breaking point was. I just know I hit it.

This book is wickedly sexy. Saman doesn’t hold back in exploring the near insatiable physical relationship between these three, and it works for them in all kinds of ways (note – there is no m/m relationship in this one). And more than that, the relationship is functional and beautifully romantic. I could see how they all loved each other, how they worked together, and it felt so real. The three of them all bring something unique to the relationship, and they just fit, and I loved seeing them figure it all out.

“Oh, Sunshine. There hasn’t been a moment since I laid eyes on you where you weren’t already mine.”

“I don’t want this life if I can’t have you with me.”

Amidst the funny and sweet moments and all the sexy time, there is some drama and really nice emotional development, and I got swept up in the romance of this story. It’s such a great read, and I loved it.

4.5 stars.

ARC Review of Bossing My Holiday by J. Saman I loved this book I give it 5 stars. It was so good I always love a why choose and this one was done very well. I love the dynamic between all three characters. I love how Tristan and Braxton are best friends and like brothers even though their personalities are so different, I also love the bond and relationship Waverly has with each of them and the bond and relationship they have all together between the three of them. This book was spicy which I loved but I also loved the story of them navigating this threesome between them and what exactly it means and what it can be and going against societal norms and embracing an unconventional relationship in the name of love and happiness. This is a MFM, why choose, 10 year age gap, boss/employee, grumpy/sunshine, fake dating, spicy, slow burn, holiday romance. This is Braxton, Tristan and Waverly's story. Tristan and Braxton are 34 and have been best friends since college. They are both Co-Ceo's of the pharmaceutical company they started together. Waverly is 24 she is Tristan's assistant but after the new year will also become Braxton's assistant too. Braxton has wanted to date Waverly since she started working at the company 2 years ago but hasn’t because she’s an employee. It is almost Christmas and Tristan and Braxton are going to Paris for 2 weeks for the holiday to visit Tristan’s family. Tristan has been divorced for 3 years and is being pressured by his family to remarry, to avoid being set up over the holiday he tells his mom he’s already dating someone. Tristan makes a deal with Waverly that if she goes to Paris with him and Braxton and pretends to be his girlfriend he will pay off the debt she has from paying for her grandma’s nursing home and bills. While in Paris Braxton keeps pushing the idea of Tristan and him sharing Waverly they have shared women before and Braxton wants that with Waverly and Tristan. Waverly and Braxton take a minute to come around but when they do it just feels right. I love Tristan, Braxton, and Waverly together as a throuple. I feel bad for Braxton at times when he has to pretend just to be her boss and hide his feelings for appearances since she’s fake dating Tristan and he can openly be affectionate to her. I loved the ending of this book and the HEA for all three of them

"Bossing My Holiday" by J. Saman is a suuuuuuper hot Christmastime Why Choose MFM romance set against a Parisian backdrop between a billionaire grump named Tristan, his best friend/co-CEO/cinnamon roll Braxton, and his assistant, the feisty Waverly. What's better than one hot boss? TWO hot bosses! YAY! I must admit, I have not read too many Why Choose novels, but I think I might be a fan if they are all like this one. I feel like J. Saman makes each relationship work within the setup of the story. Waverly has always liked Braxton because he is nice, easy-going, and doesn't make work difficult. Waverly and Tristan start the book seemingly at each other's necks as coworkers and slightly enemies... but that's because he keeps her at arm's length because he is secretly obsessed with her! Enter a fake dating scheme where Waverly is asked to accompany Tristan and Braxton to Paris for Christmas to act like his girlfriend to keep his grandmother and parents and his familial obligations off his back, and you've got a recipe for some spicy holiday fun, exploration, and a surprisingly deep connection. Waverly and Tristan have a different relationship than Waverly and Braxton, but both of them wind up working individually as well as homogenously within their trio. The three of them have terrific banter with one another. This book is well-paced and has a great flow to it. I didn't find it overly long at all, and I think everything that happens is necessary to unfold the relationship between Waverly, Braxton, and Tristan. Real good stuff here, it will definitely get you ready for the holidays!

Thank you to J. Saman and Valentine PR for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

Delicious!

Oh yes! I do love a why-choose romance and Julie Saman definitely did not disappoint. There was plenty of tension, spice, and steam, but also lashings of sweetness and swoon. Tristan and Braxton were the perfect pair of best friends and gorgeous bosses to the delightful Waverly. The scene was perfectly set, the chemistry on fire, and the slow build leading to more between the three characters was absolutely delicious. I loved the dynamic between the three, and was heartbroken by the family expectations and conventions standing in the way of their happy ever after. I was hooked from the first page to the last and loved every moment. The perfect holiday read.

I was lucky to receive an early copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

3.8 ✨ i really loved these characters, but wished that the book was longer. It just felt rushed, which of course happens when a story is less than 300 pages, but I really would have loved more of their story so it didn’t feel like everything was happening so quickly.

ARC review of "Bossing my holiday" by @jsamanbooks 💙💚

I’ve just read my first spicy Christmas book of the month! 👀🔥

How would you react if your boss asked you to be his fake girlfriend for the holidays with his family — and then his best friend and business partner confessed that they’ve both always wanted you, and they’re willing to share you just to have you? Personally, I would’ve said yes from minute one 🤣

The story hooks you from the very beginning and keeps you engaged until the end. It’s not a long book, but the pacing is steady. The main characters (Tristan and Bax) were amazing — sometimes sweet, sometimes intense — and honestly, I admire Waverly’s self-control for not giving in right away 🤣🫸🏻

The Paris setting and family dynamic felt really unique and charming. Even though the story leans more into fiction toward the end, it doesn’t take away from how enjoyable it is 👌🏻

Despite being a short read, it felt complete — nothing missing, nothing extra. I really enjoyed it, flew through it, and loved every bit.

Highly recommend it if you’re in the mood for something short, spicy, and full of Christmas tension 🔥

Thanks to @valentine_pr_ and their team for sending me the eARC

3 Spices🌶️

The why-choose romance subgenre puts me on edge before I even start reading it. Beyond conventional pairings, these stories have to offer a rich tapestry of feelings, conflicts, and resolutions that have a profound emotional impact. This book succeeded because of the multifaceted connections of its characters, which combine love, uncertainty, and surprising turns to appeal to readers craving more than a straightforward love story. Julie did a fantastic job on all of that, especially since this was her first attempt at using this trope.

J. Saman's latest holiday book, Bossing My Holiday, delves into the themes of self-discovery, control, friendship, family, and the nuances of emotional relationships.

Waverly Dobbs, the assistant to the grumpy CEO Tristan Ouest and soon-to-be assistant to the charismatic and flirty co-CEO Braxton Hicks, didn't anticipate that her bosses had been holding affection for her when she agreed to play Tristan's fake girlfriend while traveling to Paris to visit his family for Christmas. What begins as a strict professional relationship soon evolves into a complex and unconventional romance between her and her two bosses.

Braxton, Waverly, and Tristan's resonating dynamics are what make the book so effective. The novel highlights the unfiltered nature of human connection, loyalty, and comprehending the boundaries of one's personal and familial responsibilities through its interactions and moments of intimacy.

It was fabulous how the book blended levity, emotion, and candor about being in an unconventional relationship. Establishing a tangible and compelling chemistry between Waverly and each of her men. Julie ensured that each connection is fully developed between Tristan and Waverly, and Waverly and Braxton. Her bond with each of her men is unique, and Tristan and Braxton each bring out a different version of herself. It’s quite thrilling to explore all the paths that this relationship takes this throuple on while also watching new pieces of themselves unravel during the navigation.

The spice is definitely a fun aspect of any why-choose novel, and this book surely delivered with flying colors, with a delicate balance between eroticism and tenderness.

In conclusion, I can safely say with confidence that Bossing My Holiday is one of the books that makes me enjoy this subgenre since it allows readers to explore a more complex relationship dynamic that they may find liberating. As a bonus, Waverly, Tristan, and Braxton's magical romance is enhanced by the Parisian Christmas backdrop.

Receiving a gratis Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book was an honour, and I'm presenting my candid opinion based on my own experience. I am eternally grateful to Julie Saman and Valentine PR for entrusting me with reading this book beforehand.

Bossing my Holiday is a MFM, why choose, workplace, age gap, billionaire, fake dating, romance set partially in Boston, MA, USA, and Paris, France during Christmastime. The main characters are 34 year old best friends and co-CEOs Tristan and Braxton, and their 24 year old employee, Waverly. I really enjoyed this book. It is heavy on the plot and also the spice. It was very well written. I stumbled across this book randomly as I tend to do around the holidays when I just pick random holiday related books to try out. Sometimes, like this time, it really pays off. This is the first time I have heard of this author, but I will definitely try another book by her. I didn't want to stop reading and finished this book in a day.

I used to read spicy and taboo back in the day just for the sake of the spice or the taboo, but time went on and I got so bored by it that it started to put me off of books with high spice levels because so many were lacking a plot to go along with it. But along comes this book that is full of substance and depth while still incorporating the spice and the taboo and it reminded me how enjoyable it can be when the overall story is done well.

I really enjoyed seeing the family dynamics, the mutual love and respect, and the overall interactions. The big family discussion toward the end was so heartfelt and wonderful. I really loved how that all transpired.

The only thing that didn't work for me was the age gap. Not the gap itself, but the fact that Waverly wasn't believable as a 24 year old given the rest of the story, her position and tenure with the company, and the overall way she spoke and carried herself. I think if she would have been written as a 27 year old instead of 24, I would have believed it so much more. Then, the author could have still made the 10 year age gap if she wanted that particular element written into the story. This would have been a 5 star book for me but every time her age came up, it pulled me out of the story and made it feel like a forced kink by the author rather than an organic story. There were already so many other tropes incorporated anyway, it wasn't even necessary. So for that reason, I reduced it to 4 stars.

I read this book on Kindle Unlimited, but it would definitely be worth the purchase price too for anyone who doesn't have KU.

This was the first MFM I have read and the first written by Julie Saman and I have to say I loved it! It was a great, spicy, fun, loving holiday novella with so many of the other tropes I love along with the why choose, such as fake relationship, enemies to lovers, one bed. Tristan was a real alpha bosshole while Braxton was a cinnamon roll alpha. Waverly was adorable and feisty enough to keep them in line.

Tristan had a marriage that he was forced into that left him hardened when it ended. He fell for Waverly the minute he saw her but he was afraid and covered his feelings. Braxton his friend and partner had a more friendly relationship with Waverly and also fell for her. They have shared women in the past and Braxton can no longer fight the strong urge to share their love with Waverly making it more than they’ve ever had. Tristan makes Waverly a proposition to pay her debts if she pretends to be his girlfriend to get his family off his back.

Paris brings out their love and passion. Braxton wants it all but Tristan knows he can never have that with his families expectations for his future.

It was a great story of opening your mind to possibilities and the meaning of love. The spice was hot! A great read.

Oh My Santa Baby…Julie Saman Left Something Deliciously Naughty Underneath My Tree!!!

You think it's impossible to be in love with two men at the same time? Julie Saman didn't just accept that challenge, she shattered it in Bossing My Holiday!

She did a masterful job of unfolding Waverly's two very distinct relationships (equally loving and passionate) with Braxton and Tristan.  In Braxton, Waverly got her golden retriever who wears his heart on his sleeve. With Tristan, Waverly has the perfect verbal sparring partner in this broody, commanding (often demanding) bad boy.

I can't not talk about Tristan's Grand-mère. She's as observant, feisty, and compassionate as a certain Fritz matriarch we all know and love.

Bossing My Holiday is that gift didn't know you've been waiting to read, devour! It’s everything you want in a holiday romance: quick-witted banter, angst, stolen glances, and mind-altering steamy scenes that will make you reread them just to savor the moment.

I'm a first time reader of the MFM trope, but thanks to Tristan, Waverly, and Braxton, I'm obsessed with it now!!

Love is Love!! Thankfully for all of us, Julie Saman is Julie Saman, and she gave us another holiday classic!!

I loved this! Is this like the fourth Christmas book I’ve read in October? Yes, and right now I’m so in the Christmas spirit, I can’t get enough! This book was so cute, fun, and had incredible warm Christmas vibes. It’s been a while since I read a why choose (in this case an MFM), and I loved this! The extra person always makes the smut more interesting. But apart from that the plot was great. An assistant that is bribed into fake dating the CEO, all while he and his best friend are in love with her? Pure romcom shenanigans, and it gives Terms and Conditions by Lauren Asher but Christmas and MFM. Their Paris trip was so fun to read, and Waverley was lavished with all the perks of dating billionaires. He wants to trick his family and honestly for a billionaire family, they actually have an amazing relationship. I loved all the characters in this book so much! This book was so fun to read, and it had some great twists there at the end. Plot twist, What shone were the characters, especially ether dynamic. Tristan and Waverley had a whole hate to love thing that was adorable and kinda tense. While Braxton was this flirty guy who couldn’t stop charming Waverley. Together they’re grumpy and sunshine, and it’s the perfect combo for Waverley. This book was a beautiful read, I give this a 4/5.

I know that this is the first MFM from this author and I can say one thing — Julie Saman delivered this story beautifully.

Tristan was the sexy and grumpy boss, Braxton was the handsome golden retriever and Waverly was the balance between them. Both men were madly in love with her for a while, but none of them made the step. Well, this Christmas was going to be different. They would finally get the girl.

Tristan, Waverly and Braxton became my favorite characters. Their dynamic was so fun to watch. Everything was happening smoothly and Waverly accepted their relationship so easily. She had feelings for both of them, so what better way to have them both?

Julie nailed the love scenes, but then again, I never doubted her when it came to passion. I loved all the smut and spice. It was so hot reading everything happening between those three, especially the kink 🔥.

Overall, to me, "Bossing my holiday" was the perfect spicy Christmas read, and I loved it.

I read Bossing My Holiday out of pure curiosity. It is a holiday workplace novel that involves fake dating, grumpy vs. sunshine, a cinnamon roll MMC, and a steamy MFM relationship. For those who enjoy spice and MFM romances, know that there are several open door spice scenes throughout the story. I thought that some of it was endearing, but I also thought that there could have been a bit more plot to it. While this book did center around the relationship between Tristan, Braxton, and Waverly, the author did tie up any plot holes in the end. I definitely thought that Braxton and Waverly's relationship was more solid than Tristan's and Waverley's.

Highly recommend for readers of contemporary romance, MFM romances, workplace romance, enemies to lovers, fake dating, and grumpy vs. sunshine books. For those looking for mild spice, this book is not for you. Be aware of any content warnings in the beginning. This book does not end on a cliffhanger.

Overall, 4/5 stars. 3.5/5 for spice.

I wanted to share my thoughts on "Bossing my Holiday," which I found to be a surprisingly romantic, spicy, and humorous MFM read!

The story centers on Tristan and Braxton, best friends and business partners who share almost everything. The one thing they truly desire to share is their assistant, Waverly, both in and out of the office. As the holidays approach, Tristan must return to Paris to see his family. A small white lie to deter his family's matchmaking attempts leads to an unforgettable holiday for all three.

This book is the perfect festive read, filled with a beautiful city, romance, and spice. Tristan's family adds a wonderful balance of heartwarming moments and comedy, spanning two languages. Braxton and Tristan complement each other perfectly, both in their business relationship and their dynamic with Waverly. I particularly enjoyed how they collaborated to ensure Waverly always felt seen and understood. It was truly beautiful to witness Waverly's personal growth within their relationship and experience some holiday magic along the way.
