Thanks to NetGalley and Simon and Schuster for the advanced copy of this title in return for an honest review.

I read all Dog Detective books in one weekend, they were so much fun.

Throughout the three books, she has really developed this sense of community between the characters, it's been lovely to see it evolve. We have our familiar cast of characters but there are a few new ones to keep it fresh.

If I'm being honest - and this isn't a negative, just an observation - each book is the same format. Which I have no problem with at all, that seems the case for cosy crime books, and it gives me something familiar to lose myself in. And I'm impressed that she's managed to keep it so gripping. But I wonder how further the series can go? But personally, I will read every instalment she decides to write.

I have a Jack Russell and my brother has a Dachshund, so I've been finding it quite funny reading about these dogs that help solve crimes. The only thing my dog would find is a blanket to steal.

It is the epitome of cosy crime. We've got murder, assaults, and burglary, a close knit community of friends who set out to solve the crimes, and we've got adorable little doggies. I mean, what more can you ask for really?

I think this is the longest of the three at nearly 500 pages, which is at least 150 pages more than my preferred book length. And so it could have dragged but it didn't I zoomed through it just as quickly as he others. It is so comforting and funny but also tense and exciting.

I like the combination of narrative prose and text messages; it really adds to this sense of community and makes the reader feel like they're part of the pack.

I still think the first one was my favourite, just a smidgen, because it was so original. But she has managed to stick to the same formula and produce three highly entertaining and enjoyable stories.

I definitely recommend this series to fans of cosy crime and more sedate thrillers. Oh and dogs of course. Dogs will love it.

The pack is back in business when a homeless lad is found murdered.

As the owner of a sausage myself, I have to say Klaus is an a delight to read. The stubborness, the speed, the joy. The dogs personalities all shine through and they are all lovely characters to spend time with.

I really liked the different PoV's, how we got a look into a whole cast of characters. Andy seeming to be scared of the pack and his lovely Russian lady was very funny, and I couldn't help but chuckle at one or two random scenes. I also found myself smiling at others, the story of Violet's adoption is a highlight that springs to mind.

It was also fun seeing some of the actual police work, the briefings and the progress.

This was a solid 4 star... right up until the ending. I have a couple of issues with the ending. It was very sudden, rushed and I personally felt a little uncomfortable with who/what the killer was. It can be done well, but it could have been done better here. There was also a strange lack of actual suspects and a certain character (not the killer) seemed to do a 180 in character, suddenly becoming a completely different sort of person which was odd.

I liked, how in real life, not everything was neatly wrapped up and I hope that some of the dangling plot threads are carried on into the next book because I am very curious to see where they go, and where the personal lives of these people take us next.

The dogs in this are absolutely the stars. The characterisation of them and the inner monologues of their owners is an absolute delight and made me smile throughout. You can tell this series is one written by a true dog lover.

The story unfolds from multiple points of view and includes snippets from a WhatsApp group chat too which was a nice touch. I did occasionally struggle with the number of different narrators we had, but on the whole it was fun and a real novelty that they were all written differently - Ella the over-anxious wife, Irina the snarky but secretly soft Russian, Andy the long suffering slightly intimidated by dog-walkers police officer to name but a few.

I did find it a little disappointing that there's not a huge amount of detecting which happens here, there are no suspects really talked about and as a reader, there was no real way to uncover who the killer was - which always feels like part of the fun in a cozy. The reveal of the killer was good but did make me uncomfortable as well; hard to say without giving spoilers but the ultimate conclusion is a bit problematic for me, especially since it seemed to come out of the blue with no real prologue or explanation.

I do like that there have been a couple of new characters introduced and existing characters story arcs progressed a little - some of the threads are obviously going to carry over into the next book; which is great. I'm looking forward to reading it!

The pack are back in book three of The Dog Park Detectives and this series just keeps getting better!

I love how the sense of community has grown, not just between the dogs, but their owners too. It’s great catching up with familiar faces while meeting a few new ones along the way. While this can be read as a standalone, reading in order definitely adds more depth.

This time, a woman out walking her dogs stumbles across a body in the play park, and a day later she comes across a second body… and from there things quickly spiral. What links them? And why is someone now targeting members of the group? Ok yes they are looking into the murders, despite the police telling them to stay away from it after previous event’s, but will they?

With plenty of twists, I was completely stumped as to who the killer was, the final reveal genuinely surprised me. Add in the WhatsApp chats, a close-knit group of friends, and a touch of “will they, won’t they” romance, and you’ve got a really entertaining cosy mystery.

A fun, fast-paced read, perfect for dog lovers and cosy crime fans.

Absolutely captivating! As the third installment in the series, this book takes everything I loved about the first two and elevates it to new heights. The cozy crime vibes are palpable, creating a delightful atmosphere that's both inviting and engaging. I felt a genuine connection to the dog park gang! whose quirky interactions and camaraderie added a charming layer to the story. Their antics made me feel right at home in the borough of London, which is so close to where I live that it feels incredibly real. There was also a Chihuahua in this book, which as a chi owner I absolutely loved!

The plot twists kept me intrigued, and I found myself completely immersed in the world the author has created. The pacing is perfect, balancing intense action with heartfelt moments while maintaining that cozy charm. The writing style is easy and intriguing, making it hard to put the book down. This series just keeps getting better!
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delightful and wholesome read! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

It was a delight to be back with the Dog Park Detectives - the pups and their servants, lol!! When a homeless boy is found in the park, Louise and the rest of the pack cannot help themselves by digging into the cause and how it happened with their amateur sleuthing skills. It was told in multiple points of views and WhatsApp messages, which I found highly illuminating. It was a barkingly good read, entertaining, full of twists with a few red herrings, pacy, and unputdownable.

Another fun installment of this series. I love the members of the Pack, both dogs and humans, and this mystery had plenty of twists and turns. Huge thanks to the publisher for a copy to read and review.
