у одного мова кохання - подарунки, в іншого - кулінарія, а обʼєднує їх щирість, відкритість, турбота й піклування до кожного в цьому тріо 🥹
їхні почуття супер милі і відверті, проте трохи не зайшов початок стосунків. не через швидкий розвиток, а тому що всі по замовчуванню по вуха один в одного. звідки взялися ці почуття - не зовсім ясно. точніше, у сари та кольта було минуле, а семмі типу втиху завжди симпатизував їм. ну окей, най буде, оскільки треба було швидше переходити до більш цікавих спільних занять: гаряче проводити час в ліжку, носити на руках сару та щедро огортати її компліментами, бо після такого мудака-чоловіка вона це точно заслужила ☺️
сюжет не нудний, дрібка саспенсу, цікавий бекграунд в усіх гг, але ці проблеми, яких тут немало, якось поверхнево представлені. авторка захотіла накидати купу перешкод в житті кожного героя, навіть дітей сари, але більшість із них виступали радше як згадки, без повноцінного розкриття ☹️
тому сюжет - 3, розпуста - смачна 4, і у висновку приємно провести вечір однозначно можна 😎

I continue to be surprised by this author.
I didn't know what to expect when I started this series but I have really been enjoying it. It has Small Town Suspense mixed with kinky romance and that is a combo I always jump right on top of.
I loved the exploration of sexuality for our threesome. How it felt curious and natural. I just crave that kind of openness in romance. Without it having to fully be an erotic or dark romance. I like seeing how Poly relationships can just fit into all types of stories.
Sarah, Colt, and Sammy are just trying to navigate the world they find themselves in. At first Sarah is feeling a bit torn between her history with Colt or her new chemistry with Sammy, until Sammy suggests a third possibility. What if they ALL date? Colt is known to be bi-sexual and Sammy is curious enough to begin pursuit with both of them. Since Sarah doesn't want to choose anyway, why not give it a go? Add in some interest in kink and we have a party!
Each relationship has it's own history and complexities. Like Colt being Sammy's Brothers Best Friend, and Colt tried to stop Sarah's wedding once upon a time. Sarah also has twin sons and she's trying to cope with the crazy reveals about her ex-husband. So there is a lot going on. Add in a stalker and we have a full plate to deal with.
The suspense plot was probably the biggest confusion for me, though it does lead to reasons for the men to keep a close eye on Sarah. Having two hunky boyfriends is better than one in that case for sure. But overall, it was a great read!

This was a great second book in this series! I was looking forward to reading about Sarah, Colt & Sammy after the teasers we got in book one, and I was not disappointed. There were a lot of heavy topics discussed in this book that I thought Clio did a really great job of addressing with care. Sarah was coming out of a nightmare of a relationship on top of the fact that her ex had a twin who was a serial killer. She has closed herself off and is having internal battles on her worthiness of anything. The way that Colt and Sammy came in and helped her by showing her her worth and showing her that even though she could do things herself it doesn't mean other people can't help because they want to. I really enjoyed the second chance angle with Colt- the way Sarah and him had been behind the scenes pining after each other made their connection that much more special. And then we have Sammy who is Colt's best friend's little brother. Which is another trope that I love. The spice and love between these three was SCORCHING. The care they all for each other. The way that Sarah freaked and pushed them away only to realize how much they had come to mean to her. The added element of suspense was nice in this one too. It kept me on the edge of my seat wondering who is doing all of these things.
Sarah is at the lowest of lows right now. She is on the other side of finding out there her ex husband's twin was a serial killer who kidnapped her sister and almost killed her. Not to mention the years of gaslighting and emotional abuse she endured. She is struggling in all things- money, mentally. So when she starts to get attention from Colt, the man who wronged her all those years ago, she ignores it. She can't do a relationship now. But then Sammy, her sister's hubby's brother, is a different story. He looks at her like she is the sun. She can't ignore her feelings for Colt though and now that they have cleared the air on what happened all those years ago things feel different. Could it be possible for the three of them to explore this thing between them? The answer is absolutely yes. And these men treat Sarah unlike she has ever been treated. She is like their queen and they are there to worship her. All the while, Sarah is getting threats from unknown sources and Sammy's house gets vandalized. Who could be behind all of this? David is out of prison but it seems beyond him. Sarah tries to focus on the good in her life but when she gets hurt, she panics and pushes them away. She doesn't want them to carry her baggage. She doesn't feel worthy. What she doesn't know is that they aren't that easily sueded.
Colt is not sure where everything went so wrong between him and Sarah. All he knows is that his heart is broken at seeing her where she is. He wants to fix it between them but doesn't know how. So he puts himself out there. Asks her to meet with him and when they finally clear the air it is like a weight has been lifted. All is right with the world. Except now he is having these unexpected feelings for Sammy, his best friend's little brother. And what is that about? At the same time, Sammy seems to be interested in Sarah. Could they make them a thing? He sure wants to try and when the others seem down for it, Colt almost has to pinch himself to make sure he is awake and not dreaming. What they share is beyond anything he has experienced. He wants to hold onto it and bask in it's glory. But there is an undercurrent happening in town. Sarah has received threats. Sammy's place gets trashed. Colt's protective side is out to play. He will do anything and everything to keep them safe. He just has to make sure they both know he is here to stay for the long haul. Nothing is going to scare him away.
Sammy is filling up his time with what he can while the winery is being rebuilt. He is positing thirst traps while cooking online. He finds himself wanting more. Wanting someone. Or maybe two someones. Sarah and Colt. His brother's best friend and a woman who has always been in his life and now seems to be all he thinks about. He can see the future with them in it. He just needs them to catch up. And he needs to initiate his plan to get them there. So he woos them. He shows them what they could be together. The nights they have together are unlike anything he has experienced. They are pure magic and beyond hot. Simmering underneath all of this though is an evil no one can identify. Sammy's house gets ransacked. Sarah is getting threatened. He has to do what he can to protect the people he loves even if they don't think they are deserving.
These books are definitely a ton of spice with plot on the backburner, and I am ok with that. I liked how much these characters built each other up. I liked how open this town and their friends/family were to their situation. I liked how everyone rallied together when someone was mistreated. I REALLY liked the spice- holy goodness was it a lot BUT sooo good. I definitely recommend this book and series if you haven't read it already. I could NOT figure out who the bad guy was and though I was disappointed at who it ended up being- it added another layer to this book that I enjoyed.

We are back, and it's these 3 babes now. We know the complicated relationship Colt and Sarah have, and now that she's slowly having to build her life back due to the crazy events. She's struggling with life and with help from her friends and family. Few times I wanted to shake her on accepting help. Like girl, just take it.
She slowly builds a relationship with Sammy even if she knew him before. And slowly trying again with Colt. At first, there was tension between everyone because Sarah isn't sure she should date anyone and her feelings for both men. But the guys were on point telling her she could date both of them, then that turned into Colt and Sammy having feeling for each other. I'm glad everyone was okay with the three. No real drama around them trying to date. Only a few town ppls side eyed it. The drama was more focused on the dead killer and the revenge by someone.
Besides that, the chemistry between the 3 was amazing the spice 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻. plus, i enjoyed our side charas and how they were together.
The next book is Grump Hunter and Emma. But I'm kinda worried because it said Emma is dating someone. And the blurb said someone wants what's hers. So possible some ow drama. 😭 I hope I'm wrong. Because I wanna read about them.

Це прекрасно. Здорові стосунки — те, про що мріє кожна адекватна людина. Наскільки це ніжно та реалістично описано — не передати словами. Вкотре переконуюся, що якщо люди щирі, якщо люди усвідомлені, готові брати на себе відповідальність за своє життя і насолоджуватися ним — до біса тих, хто любить вказувати, з ким ти маєш спати чи будувати життя.
Семмі, Кольт та Сара не злякалися бути відвертими одне з одним та світом, і ця сміливість подарувала їм найбільше щастя у житті. Те, як їх підтримали рідні — просто бажаю кожній людині на планеті таку підтримку та любов.
Мені дуже хочеться написати ще біл��ше всього про цю історію, зробити детальний аналіз кожного з героїв, нахвалити їх і описати, як я ними захоплююся, але це вже буде дипломна по книжці🤣

I thought these were interconnected standalones and could be read without reading the previous book, but I was wrong. It definitely has an overarching plot that spans the series and since I wasn’t interested in book one I missed out on A LOT of background info lol

3.5 stars. Stolen Chances is the 2nd book in the Citrus Cove series! This is small town, single mom, friends to lovers, MMF, romantic suspense. I loved the first book in this series and had high hopes for this one.
We follow Sarah, a single mom, who we met in Broken Beginnings (her sister is Haley the heroine of that book). You get more of her backstory with her ex-husband in that book. This is MMF, so we get a friends to lovers/second chance-ish romance with Sarah and Colt. We also get a best friend’s brother romance between Colt and Sammy. Sarah has a lot of history with Colt, he was her first love and he has always looked at her as “the one who got away”. Sammy is a content creator (his brother Cam is the hero of Broken Beginnings) and does thirst trap-style cooking videos.
This one is spicy and just very insta everything…insta love, insta relationships. It all just felt super easy and while I guess that is nice and all for them, it just felt a little too easy and too unbelievable I guess, I just wanted something more…maybe more emotions, more connection, more of a hurdle to overcome, more chemistry (besides just the lust)? There is lots of caretaking which is always nice to see, they’re super protective over her and her sons. Which works out since there is a suspense/stalker-ish element to the story. We do get to see relationships for every couple plus them as a poly relationship as well. I still enjoyed the small town setting, the characters overall, I just loved book 1 so much more (the couple, the plot, the romantic suspense element).

Stolen Chances is book two in the Citrus Cove series by Clio Evans and ya’ll are not ready for this one. You are going to drown in your own tears I swear. Sammy, Colt and Sarah are deliciously sweet and pants meltingly hot as our kinky polyamorous MCs and are exactly what the world needs right now if I’m being honest. This was a good suspense FMM romance and I enjoyed reading it.
I got an ARC of this without having read book 1 and I really would recommend doing that beforehand – it's promoted as a standalone but I was still left confused a lot of the time and I felt like I would've enjoyed it a lot more, had I read book 1 as well.
Poly relationships and kink/BDSM elements are often not something you see in small town romances and I was so happy to see them in this book! Relationships "out of the norm" shouldn't be something we can only read about in sex club or dark romances.
While I really enjoyed the beginning, the middle was a bit too slow for me, hence the three stars. Still, it was a good romance, I liked all the characters and it was overall enjoyable.

Ok, ok, ok!
It was amazing, no…better than amazing. Cause we are getting not a simple book of love for three people. But ‘Stolen chances’ is a complex story with past mistakes, abuse, traumatic experiences and memories, wounds on hearts, but we are also getting love, acceptance, family time and healing. It’s hard and painful, but with each page our characters are changing, their mindset is changing and they are opening their hearts to new opportunities and love.
But who are they? We have Sarah who is a single mother and it’s hard to be one without any other complications, but her ex-husband was firstly abusive and secondly connected to serial killer. Yay.
And Sarah’s biggest regret that when she had a chance to stop this wrong relationship she decided not to.
And here we are.
Twelve years later..single mother with broken heart and live, but with bunch of people who really care about her and want to help her, and there are two lovely men who see what an amazing woman she is. Flirting, jokes, sexy scenes, communication and everything else between three of them was so great. I laughed, cried, blushed and literally couldn’t stop reading some moments cause they were so intense and hot.
But apart from romantic stuff we are getting book full of suspense and it nearly killed me. There were parts of the story when I couldn’t breathe.
This book is a great installment to the series and firstly, I can’t wait to read third and final book later this year, and secondly, many thanks to Clio Evans sharing this book with me.

WHEW!!! If you looked at this and the promo, you might think, "This is a cute small-town romance," and it is... but they're FAWKING! I think this is going to be added to my new list of the best books of 2025 because I absolutely LOVED it.
This is a Clio Evans book which means I knew I was going to love it but still. I would say you definitely need to read book one in this series, mostly because it is good, but also because if you don't this book will still make sense but you won't understand the hatred for Sarah's, the FMC, ex-husband. There are many conversations in this book about coming out of a toxic relationship and starting your next one and I think it was done so well, you might be physically out of the relationship but mentally you might still be thinking like you're still in the relationship. I think Clio does a great job showing that through Sarah's thought process and how she goes about getting into a relationship with Colton and Sammy, the MMCs, and trying to raise her kids. There was so much healing going on in this book but it didn't take away from the action or the spice. You could come from a spicy scene and then be thrown into a life lesson and then next thing you know someone is getting into a car chase.
Speaking of the spicy scenes... 10/10. This was giving cute wholesome romance at first but then my girl had a fist somewhere while a lot of other things were going on and I well I didn't clutch my pearls but the rating went from a 5 to 6. I couldn't tell you if this was the spiciest of Clio's books, hello The Perfect Gift, but this felt like it was so much spicier than book one at least. Sammy, the man that you are 🧎🏾♀️🫦
Anywho I will be back expeditiously for book three, I love this small town and the people there. Thank you to clio evans and greyspromo for allowing me to ARC read!!

This is the second book in this impressive series, and this is Sarah, Colton, and Sammy’s story.
Sarah is a single mom of twin boys, and she is rebuilding her life fell after it fell apart. Sarah always thought Colt was the one for her, but now her brother-in-laws, off limits brother, Sammy, has her feelings become more than friends.
This is a well written easy to read, action packed story, with family, friendships, emotions, friends / lovers, danger, suspense, intrigue, tension, second chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining, spicy, tragic, and addictive small town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I had fun with this story. I love that Clio wrote a poly am romance in a small town in Texas. Given the state of the world right now, I think it's great to show all types of romantic relationships and how great they can be. I liked getting to see Sarah's healing journey through the support of her therapist, family, and her men. I thought the development of their relationship was done well and I loved how the guys interacted with her kids. The spice was delicious and everything I expected from Clio.
I didn't love the third act break up mostly because it didn't serve much of a purpose. I felt like they broke up, something happened, then they were just back together. There wasn't much discussion about the break up and how they were going to move forward, they just jumped back in. I would've preferred if there wasn't a break up and they worked together to address the concern.

I liked the story in general, but I just didn't feel a connection with Sarah's character with myself or really even Sammy & Colt's characters, I definitely felt more of a connection between the guys though.
The suspense was only a small percentage of the story, but I'd still suggest you give it a read.

Oh, this book.
This was such a delicious read. It's funny, spicy and heartwarming all at once.
Sarah is like our fictional bestie, after book 1 I really wanted to read her story and see her HEA. And what a happy ending she got with Colt and Sammy. Those two are just perfection, Clio KNOWS what women want in a relationship, haha.
I read this whole book with a silly smile on my face. Except for a few key moments in which the room suddenly got so, so hot...lmao.
Love it.

This is the second book in the Citrus Cove series and can be read as a stand alone. There is a recap of events from the first book so you don’t feel like you’re missing anything.
This was definitely an interesting read as I have never read a book that involves a love triangle/poly romance.
This is very spicy and the chemistry between the three of them was intense. Each character had their own baggage and struggles they were dealing with, but the protection and support for one another was real.
There was a little bit of suspense which I thought was great. This storyline was super easy to follow and I can’t wait for the third book🖤

Really enjoyed this one! I love Clio Evans' books and this was such a great second book in her series. Really excited to read the next one.
