The killer knows they’re coming for him. Can Seth and Evan save the next victim and shut down the dark witch, even when they’re cursed? Seth Tanner and Evan Malone head to Savannah, GA, to hunt the seventh of the coven members responsible for the death of Seth’s brother and so many other victims over the past hundred years.
Love this author and this series. it's one of the series that turned me on to M/M Romances...Witchbane and the Badlands series were the first of this genus that I bought, and I've never stopped. Anyway...back to this addition to the series.

Seth Tanner and Evan Malone are off to Savannah, Georgia, to hunt down the seventh of the coven members responsible for the death of Seth’s brother (see book #1), and so many other victims over the past hundred or so years.

Seth and Evan fell in love when Seth rescued Evan from one of the witches, and they've been on the road together to stop the murders ever since. Their new relationship was, from the beginning, intense, and grew deeper with each new danger, giving them both another reason to survive and get vengeance for all the victims that they couldn't save.

Sterling Vernon is a prominent restaurant owner with a thriving group of businesses, and he’s the seventh witch-disciple with a new victim already in his sights. His reputation and wealth protect him, and his dark magic helps him evade any consequences. But like those before him, Vernon needs to perform the ritual to replenish his power...and do it soon. That is going to require a new sacrifice.

Paxton Miller is Vernon’s next intended victim. Vernon puts a killing curse on Evan to force a confrontation with Seth, it’s going to take all of Seth’s courage and cleverness, as well as help from their friends with supernatural abilities...(some of these friends with "abilities" are from other of Morgan Brice's other supernatural series and some are from past books in this series); anyway...the goal is to save Evan and Paxton and stop Vernon once and for all.

Cursed, like the others, is an adrenaline-packed supernatural thrill ride with plenty of paranormal suspense, hurt/comfort, hot nights, found family, deadly magic, immortal witches, determined hunters, haunted places, creepy ghosts, spooky chills, and sexy thrills, and featuring the evolving, and the established romantic relationship with these two special men.

Cursed is the 8th book in the Witchbane series. This series is best read in order. We are back with Seth and Evan as they go after another disciple of Rhyfel Gremory. This book is set in historical haunted Savannah. Seth and Evan are growing closer together as they continue their quest. I love the chemistry between the guys. I love the other characters as well. This is a fast paced story with plenty of action. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Another great addition to the series! I enjoyed how this one included various characters from other series all working together. It was fun and full of danger, romance and of course magic!

I can’t wait for more from Evan and Seth!

Reviewed for Love Bytes – 5 hearts.
Many books ago, Seth lost his brother to the Gremory demon and his worshippers. He also fell in love with the man he rescued, Evan. This time, the killer wants the confrontation and puts a killing curse on Evan. Much is on the line, and courage is needed to prevail.
I’m so excited to read this. For a while, I’ve been itching to read a juicy paranormal tale, and this fit the bill. So much so that once I started, I didn’t stop till the last page, after which I had a cup of tea and a pile of biscuits. I loved every bit of it.
The story is told in the third person from the viewpoints of Seth and Evan. Worldbuilding has evolved over the series, but this addition is primarily based in Savannah. The author builds a splendid picture of a city steeped in history and with enough food places that I am inspired to try a bunch of new recipes.
As it’s been a while since book seven, I appreciated the well-disguised recap that rekindled memories and characters. And, it was awesome to see the teams come together to take on the big foe. But the scene stealers were the ghosts and Nash. Their inclusion was bloomin’ brilliant and very well utilised. I chuckled at Nash’s simple yet effective way of dealing with situations, skirting the lines of legality, especially given that his partner, Caden, is a cop.
After so much hunting, it was good to see Seth and Evan recognize they needed downtime. It gave their relationship a more balanced feel and progression. Life can’t be all search and destroy; people need time to experience the good things in life, too – it gives perspective. In actuality, the word balanced is the best way to describe this tale. All aspects had their respective page times without anything being over- or underdone.
The big bad is Sterling Vernon, a shipping magnate with arms in all sorts of pies. He is a powerful witch specializing in weather manipulation and was prepared for Seth and Evan’s arrival. Vernon is a cunning individual with his followers, and they take the fight to Seth and Evan with their version of the gauntlet.
My heart went on a journey alongside my head, and I was thoroughly entertained.

- Below is my original review based on the eBook. I have finished an early copy of the audiobook and find that the story still has the same issues I noticed before but, they didn’t bother me as much this time. The way Kale Williams performs this book helps the problems not seem so bad. His smooth tone and pacing help everything come together into a book easier (for me) to listen to over read with my eyes. -

“Cursed” is the 8th book in the Witchbane Series by author Morgan Brice. This is a series with an important overarching plot and needs to be read in order. This series is also part of a greater world that the author has built and encompasses characters from several other series and also another pen name and genre.

Morgan Brice has been my most read author for a couple years. I love paranormal books with mystery and romance and the audiobooks for all the series have become frequent relistens (I have listened to the first book in this series “Witchbane” eleven times.) Through the previous books in the series, we see Evan and Seth meet, fall in love and hunt monsters and witches all over the Southeastern USA. “Cursed” has the couple going after the next witch on their list in Savannah, Georgia, and it has the same energy and action as the previous books plus the introduction to new friends. I love the new people introduced in this book and part of me wants several of them to appear in more stories or get their own books.

I love how this book reflected on the future more. It started in the previous book, but now Seth and Eval know they only have so many witches left and they both know they don’t want to hunt monsters forever. They talk about this and talk about where they want to go and what they want to do. The book ends on a very happy note for the couple and I can’t wait to see where the next books take them and what their final life plans end up being (while also having reservations.)

I am going to say that I was frustrated with parts of this book and this part might be a bit of a rant. This author sometimes has issues with consistency within her series. Things about characters and events change between the various books. Usually, they are just a bit annoying and I can move past them with a little cringe or rolled eye. This time It felt like I was missing something. That there was a book or story I hadn’t read that explained where certain abilities the characters had come from. They didn’t have these abilities in the previous book, and I listened to that audiobook less than two weeks ago. So I wonder where they came from. They were not mentioned in any of the previous 7 books and were abilities that the characters struggled to learn and weren’t always successful at, but now they are “gifts” they’ve had for their entire lives and there were no mentions of the hard work they put into learning the rote magic? I was seriously frustrated and almost DNF’d the book in this frustration.

I received a copy of this book and audiobook, this is my honest opinion.

Another Good Story

This series has been interesting from the start and this is another good story. Seth and Evan are back and, as usual, things get quite exciting as the story goes along.
Update: The audiobook for this was so good to listen to. Kale Williams does an amazing job bringing the story to life. I always enjoy his narrating.

I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

Firstly, I want to share my appreciation to the author Morgan Brice and the Gay Romance Review for offering me an advanced listening copy of Cursed: WitchBane Book 8. Book 8? Ok, I'll admit I'm not a paranormal reader. If I do read one, it usually depends on the premise. Initially, it intimidated me because, not have reading the first 7 books beforehand, I thought I'd be so confused. Yet, the more I listened, the more I got into it!

It almost reminded me of the TV show Supernatural, except instead of two brothers, it's a gay couple with paranormal abilities. One of the side characters even mentioned it without mentioning it. A little cheeky wink to the reader. It all began after the death of Seth's brother from one of the witch disciples. Since then, he's been hellbent on vengeance.

That's how Seth and Evan met, he saved him while fighting a witch disciple. They're like 100's of years old witches that are on the hunt of descendants of people they killed in the past. I think. Evan was one I guess. There was a lot of back story that I missed but Morgan did a great job in reminding us certain moments in their past, where you kind of get what happens.

Anyways, they're the Big Bad, led by Vernon (last name, I forgot his first), who's, like, running all these illegal activities in the real and paranormal world of Savannah, which is where they end up. They're usually on the road fighting monsters (sound familiar?) and in this book, they're looking for another descendant. I think Vernon takes their power so he can stay immortal, I'm starting to remember now.

Ok, so, Seth is half witch, and Evan's power is intuition. Not super powerful but nevertheless, they're on a mission to find this one guy, Pax, so they can protect him.
That's how they end up in Savannah, where they meet up with other witches and magical people. After much deliberation, they come up with a plan to destroy Vernon's anchor, which holds all his power. I think. Again, all of this is to my understanding.

As they've befriended Pax, a food truck owner, and his partner Tony, a musician, they try to explain what's going on, because of course not everyone believes in magic. But there's always folklore and whispers in people's family, so you try to stay open-minded. As they keep an eye on Pax, Seth and Evan get tangled up with some people who were trying to attack him. Unbeknownst to the dynamic duo, Evan gets cursed and becomes really sick, almost near death!

From there, Seth calls on the witches and magical people they had met, to work on a spell to heal Evan. Do you think it worked? Do you think after all their monster hunting they find Vernon and finally defeat him? You already know what to do. And might I recommend getting the audiobook, because narrator Kale Williams does a great job with differentiating each character.

Before I end my review, there's one thing I want to mention, paranormally unrelated. The last two chapters of the book felt more like an epic epilogue. I loved listening to what happens when everything is all said and done, but I feel like it was either too long or not in the right place of the story. If that makes sense. Otherwise, Morgan knows what she's doing! There were some sexy scenes, which I'll say were very well placed. It showed how much Evan and Seth loved each other. That made me wonder though, what happened in books 1-7? I think I just might read them because I want to see where their love story started. 4⭐

100 years ago a witch covenant was killed by a group of men. They put a curse on them that each of the eldest sons of their descendants would be killed by their witch decendents. One being Seth's brother and Evan, the man he met on his vengeance journey and is now dating. Together they prevented Evans death and are now on a quest to stop the curse before it comes for the next person. With help of a psychic medium they found the killer witch Vernon who is a wealthy restaurant owner and a witch with dark powers but he needs his next sacrifice before he loses his energy.

This was a new to me author. This seems to be book 8 in this series but it can be read as a standalone. I didn't feel like I missed anything in the previous books that I needed to know in order to read this one. I know by book 8 in a series plots can seem repetitive so I can't say if that is true for this one or not but that has been my experience with other series so Im kind of glad I'm jumping into it with no prior knowledge of it.

This was a fun and fairly quick read/listen. It kept my interest from start to finish and I listened to it all in one listen. I really enjoyed the plot and thought that it was well written. I enjoyed the world building and all the side characters that came together to help. It was relationship angst free. I really loved how protective the 2 MCs were of each other. It was remontic in it's none romantic way due to that. There is alot of plot drama and the last quarter is fast paced and suspenseful. I loved every min. Though monster meat made me laugh for some reason everytime.

I enjoyed both of the MCs. They were a good couple. It was a little difficult for me to get a feel for their chemistry due to all the steam at the start being fade to black. It felt more like they trauma bonded more than anything for the majority of the book, which suited them and I enjoyed their relationship and how they put their own lives at risk to save each other. I understand how once the plot picked up there was no time for romance and that suited the plot but It would have been nice if those f2b scenes at the start were on page steam to show more of their romance and connection. I likely would have given it 5 stars in that case. The last 20% of the book did get super steamy and romantic and I could finally feel their love for each other but by then it felt a little too late. I can understand not wanting to make a book too steamy cause not everyone wants that I just think there could have been one intimate scene at the start to establish their connection and then cut back on the steam at the end cause it almost felt like too much and unrealistic.

Kale did an amazing performance as always. He is definitely my favorite narrator. His voice is very pleasant to listen to. He kept a good pace and flow and expressed all the emotions wonderfully. He gave all of the characters their own distinct voice making it easy to follow the story and it brought the story to life. The ghostly scenes especially show what a great actor he is.

This jumped the shark for me. If you have read the entire series which most of these reviewers clearly have not, this book is not in keeping with the series. If you are just reading it alone it is a decent book. The characters are not in line with the previous books in the series. Seth has consistently improved in grieving his family and dealing with his guilt. In this book it's like he went back to book 1 and hadn't made any progress. And Evan, I'm not even sure what happened to him. All I can say is what the heck! It's like the 2 books that were set in Georgia are written by a different author who doesn't read the other books. In the book in Charleston Evan goes from needing to draw the sigils to being able to speak the spells which he previously couldn't do, but in the following book he went back to needing to draw them or carry around discs that he had pre-drawn the sigils. Now in this book not only doesn't he do rote magic, but now he is, and apparently has always been a medium and can talk and see ghosts???? what??? In the past if was always Seth that summoned ghosts using rote magic, not Evan. This is just so wrong as to really bother me throughout the book. I did like the love story aspects and the ending. But I also thought Seth's action during the battle was out of character even though he would do most anything for Evan. But to do this pre-meditated seemed like something he wouldn't do. It's almost like the author put Evan and Simon Kincade in a blender and mixed them up. This author is one of the better ones for typos and consistency but this one is just really bad for consistency. I'm sure it's an enjoyable read if you can get past all that, don't know the characters, or if it had been so long since you read the others that you don't remember the characters. Not sure whether I will read the next one.

I'm guessing that one of the challenges for an author writing a series featuring the same main characters is finding a balance between keeping the most popular features of the series intact while introducing some new elements to keep things fresh.

But Brice manages to keep things going in this newest installment of the Witchbane series, "Cursed". Seth and Evan travel to Savannah to stop yet another witch disciple from powering up in the coven's immortality ritual, and once again run into problems trying to stop him. There are the usual issues such as the target, in this case, Paxton, not believing them, and preparations the witch has made to combat our heroes-in this case a killing curse levelled on Evan.

The difference for our heroes in this book, as with the most recent ones, is that they now have allies to assist them in taking down the witch disciples. Several characters from Brice's other books make appearances here, including Teag and Rowan from the Deadly Curiosities series along with allies in Savannah, as well. So if the witches are more prepared, so are Seth and Evan. And it makes for a fun battle as Seth and Evan put their plans together with their supporters until it comes together in a battle royale of sorts towards the end.

One other aspect of the book I liked was the fact that there was a bit more reflection on the parts of Seth and Evan on the future after their quest is accomplished. It was a nice acknowledgment of the sacrifices they've made and made them seem a bit more realistic in the face of their at times grim undertaking.

Book eight in the Witch Bane series will not disappoint in this action-packed book. It would be helpful to have read the others in the series as there are so many secondary characters.

Seth has been fighting supernatural monsters since the day his younger brother was slaughtered. The evil being meant to kill Seth, but Jesse was sacrificed instead.

Seth became a vigilante with a goal of destroying this group of witch disciples. A sheriff's posse a century ago, killed Gremory, a dangerously powerful warlock. His followers destroyed the sheriff and his deputies, and created a spell to help them connect with their deceased master. The warlock's followers wish to remain immortal, and they kill the eldest male of the descendants at intervals. This gives these monsters the power to cheat death.

Seth and the love of his life Evan are on the hunt. Heading to Savannah, they hope to stop another sacrifice. This time they are more than willing to have all the help they can get from their friends, and contacts that have the power to hopefully stop this mad chain of killings.

Seth not only wants to save Pax the warlock's next victim, but to stop Evan from dying. You'll read more about Evan's situation as the story unfolds.

lf you are a lover of adventure and the supernatural you will truly enjoy the latest novel from Ms. Brice. Happy reading.

This series is best read in order. We’re back with Seth and Evan as they go after another disciple of Rhyfel Gremory—and this time, the killer knows they’re coming. The race is on to save the next victim and shut down the dark witch’s schemes, even when Seth and Evan are fighting a curse of their own. Sterling Vernon, a successful restaurant owner with a thriving business empire, is also the seventh witch-disciple—and he’s already chosen his next target. What follows is an adrenaline-packed supernatural thrill ride, full of paranormal suspense, hurt/comfort moments, found family, deadly magic, immortal witches, haunted places, creepy ghosts, and plenty of spooky chills.

One of the things I enjoyed most is how Brice brings in characters from other series, all working together. Fans will be delighted to see familiar faces—like Teag and Rowan from the Deadly Curiosities series—woven seamlessly into the story. The tension builds steadily, and even though you know our heroes will prevail, Brice still manages to slip in some genuine surprises.

If you enjoy action-driven paranormal mysteries with a strong emotional core and a dash of crossover fun, Cursed will not disappoint. Another good story from Morgan Brice!

Thank you to the author, and GRR for an advance copy of this book for review consideration. I am voluntarily leaving this review which is my honest, unbiased opinion.

“Cursed” by Morgan Brice is part of the ‘Witchbane’ series that features Seth and Tanner as they continue their quest to end the reign of terror established by a warlock’s centuries-old curse on a group of lawmen. Their search brings them to Charleston, where they enlist the help of allies to help them keep safe the descendant who is unaware of his impending danger.

This adult gay paranormal romance continues to explore the deep ties that Seth and Tanner have formed with each other even as they doggedly pursue the evil disciples who continue to perpetrate their horrendous crimes against the descendants. Although I enjoy this series, this story wasn’t as compelling to me as some of the others. I love that there are cameos by some of the folks who have starred in their own series, although I wish Sorren the vampire would pop in occasionally. One of the intriguing elements of this series is the armchair travel opportunities provided by the glimpses of the cities the guys visit, and this tale was no exception. Although I’ve never visited Charleston, I became immersed in the fascinating landmarks and features of the city. The danger escalates with each subsequent disciple the pair face, so I imagine the next stories will be even more exciting.

Seth Tanner and Evan Malone are traveling to Savannah GA to hunt the seventh disciple responsible for killing not only Seth’s brother but many others as well. This time they are better prepared but so is Sterling Vernon. Sterling has a variety of businesses and hides behind dark magic and his prominence as a business owner. Their plans are escalated when Paxton Miller, the next victim, is kidnapped and Sterling places a killing curse on Evan to force a confrontation with Seth.

Seth and Evan are more prepared to fight and now have a variety of friends willing to help. These friends can also direct them to more people willing to help eliminate the evil Vernon represents. Their love for each other is stronger and they are now in a position to think of a future together. Unfortunately, they will need to be alive to do that. Their battles with the disciples are more intense. They are aware of Seth and Evan and better prepared as well. But Seth and Evan have an advantage and are willing to use that. You will need to pick up this book to discover and see their growing love and abilities. Start at the beginning though as it will make more sense.

Cursed is the eighth book in Morgan Brice's Witchbane series. Another suspenseful witch takedown. It's not easy. Sterling Morgan is "a whack-a-doodle, even for that crowd" (p 16). Luckily, Seth and Evan have a strong team and hard earned experience behind them. Pop ins from earlier books and previous series. Worldbuilding is complex with so much to draw from.
I love the chemistry between Seth and Evan. A quick trip to Charlestown starts a conversation about endgames and the future. Something that Evan has a more positive outlook on than Seth. By the end of the story, they've made a huge commitment to the future. And this was less cliffhangry and more HEA than their other adventures.
The witches are getting progressively harder to take down. A little trickier, the bad guys have the hunters on their radar. Thank goodness for their friends' support. By the time they get to Jesse's killer (four more witches to go after Vernon), they're really going to need it. Going to be an epic battle.
A quick, nail biter. Lots of tension, lots of suspense. Balanced out by love and hope.
I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my review.

Seth and Evan are so close to the end of their mission they can almost taste it! They have already taken out 7 witch-disciples and have come to Savannah to take on the 8th. They reunite with a bunch of the friends they’ve made along the way to create a plan and save another descendant. This series is so enjoyable. Brice has geographically taken us on a road trip across the US as our sexy MCs battle super evil witch-disciples and some other crazy paranormal species (like wraiths) along the way. I really liked how we saw Seth and Evan working as part of a larger team as earlier in the series they seemed more determined to only be a team of two. I loved the collaboration amongst paranormal experts who all have their niche expertise. Seth and Evan take a big step forward in their relationship as well which had me cheering despite wanting to shake Seth for making foolish choices earlier on. I wish it were longer but a lot still manages to happen. I will be sad when this series ends but hopefully we’ll see some cross series cameos like Brice has provided already.

Seth and Evan find themselves on another adventure where they're not only trying to avoid another sacrifice, but it also reveals more deeply how their lives and feelings have evolved. Seth finds himself in a situation where much more than his life is at stake. Doubts, fears, and difficult decisions hang in the balance. I liked the strength of his character and how he used the resources at his disposal. Through the multiple confrontations with the disciples, Seth and Evan's allies have multiplied. Their unity has strengthened in the fight against evil, and different gifts and magic have become available. The intensity of the action and suspense was sky-high, keeping me attentive to the development of the plot. I like the way the author describes the scenes, which makes me visualize what's happening and sometimes even makes me emotional. This series has me hooked from the beginning with its interesting characters and the situations they find themselves in. Adventure, action, suspense, magic, mystery, many allies, violence, romance, and passion.

Eighth in series (Witchbane), must be read in order. Paranormal. Established couple. Found family. Dual POV.

Heading to Savannah to take down the next disciple, Evan and Seth recruit help to confront a restaurateur and shipping owner and save the next descendant in trouble. While thinking about the future Evan and Seth enjoy their time in Savannah and gear up for their upcoming fight.

This story includes a large cast of characters from the author’s collection of paranormal series and brings all kinds of supernatural abilities to the combat. I would have liked to spend more time with just Evan and Seth, those are my favorite moments when they are close and sharing their thoughts. I may have missed something as Evan appeared to have new abilities with ghosts, but overall Seth and Evan are both committed to risking everything to be together and have a future together. This series gives the reader the chance to revisit with a favorite couple and root for them over evil in their adventures every time.

I enjoyed listening to Kale Williams bring this paranormal romance to life.
This was the first audio performance by him I have heard and I look forward to listening to more.

This is the 8th book in the Witchbane series and the first one that I have listened to. Even though you can easily read / listen to it as a standalone I personally feel you will get more enjoyment if you start from the beginning and learn the backstories of the characters. I am looking forward to doing just that.

Morgan Brice has built a great world and given us an amazing cast of characters to cheer on and fall in love with. This story is full of adventure, action, love, magic, supernatural suspense, witches, ghosts, vampires, hunters and found family. Seth and Evan are fighting evil while trying to protect the innocent while their relationship is growing closer.

MM Paranormal

This is my second book by Morgan Brice, and I've loved it.

We have paranormal. Curses and witches. Seriously, how much can be packed into one book? Even though this is the 8th book in the series, it’s the first one that I've listened to, and I managed fine. Others have said that you needed to read in order; it would probably help, but I managed ok.
Unique storyline. I liked the two main characters, Seth and Evan; they have a solid relationship and work as a team, with great energy and depth.

Well narrated, clean and clear. Kale Williams was a joy to listen to, as always. I sped up to 1.20 on Audiobooks.

Review for (Witchbane-8) Cursed by Morgan Brice

4 1/2 stars

I loved this audiobook. Kale Williams was a fabulous narrator for this wonderful story. The way he brought the characters and this story alive was fantastic. I fell in love with Seth & Evan. This story is full of suspense and intrigue that sucks you into the story. I went into the story so far, and I felt like I was there. So Seth & Evan are hunting for the seventh coven member that was the cause of Seth's brother's death, along with so many more. Seth and Evan have an intriguing start to their relationship. Seth rescued Evan from a dark witch. If that wasn't an intriguing start, I don't know what is. I loved reading about these two men trying to stop evil from taking more lives. I loved how what they go through just builds their relationship stronger. I want to own all of these books from this series someday; that's how much I loved this story. I loved the world-building Morgan Brice writes in each and every story they write. I can't get enough!

Seth and Evan are back! (an audio review)

I’ve really been enjoying Morgan’s Witchbane series. Hard to believe we’re at book 7! Seven books of hunting and killing witch-disciples. I thought I might get bored, but I never seem to. Kale Williams is definitely part of that – his narration is just perfection and he’s great with these guys and this series.

Okay – so new town, new witch – same old trouble. Only this time, Evan’s also a target – meant to make Seth more vulnerable. Have no fear, though – the pair have friends from far and wide who are going to help. The questions are, of course, will they be able to save Paxton in time and will they vanquish Vernon? I’ll leave it up to the listener to determine that.

I will say the main action ended well short of the end of the book and I was super curious if they were going to knock off another disciple or something (there are several left). Nope. Morgan took me in an unexpected direction and I couldn’t have been happier. I really enjoyed this book!

This review is for the audio version.

This is another exciting, suspenseful nail biter as Seth and Evan pursue the seventh witch disciple. As the series progresses, the disciples get harder and harder to kill. They know Seth and Evan are coming after them, so there is no more element of surprise. Still, Seth and Evan keep growing and learning more of their craft, too. Will that make it even-odds when dark magic and a curse is involved? Not without friends. We see old friends, new allies, and crossovers from other books and series from the author. I really love the way the author manages to keep the pursuit and sense of danger fresh with each new book. I like the way Seth and Evan have grown individually and as a couple, and I liked that this book saw the duo looking beyond the next witch disciple and (eventually) Gremory himself, to the possibility of a future after...together.

The narration by Kale Williams is superb and really keeps the tension and suspense at peak level.

Another exciting story about Evan and Seth. This story was a bit unusual because when the attack on Vernon and his disciples and rescue of Pax took place Evan couldn't be there because of the killing curse placed on him by Vernon. Vernon was a particularly nasty witch and his monster meat business was horrible and his henchmen were vicious and I so glad that all of his businesses both legal and illegal were destroyed and that the ghosts of his many victims were able to get revenge. I loved how they had time to visit the sights in Savannah and it made me want to visit and the rings they boought sounded so beautiful. I remember how simple my mother's wedding ring was with little diamond chips and simple flower engraving.
One thing that made me laugh was since Vernon was a weather mage and made the storm much worse I thought about Marjorie Taylor Greene who is sure that Democrats can can control weather and what she would make of it.
Really looking forward to the next story.

Another exciting adventure for Seth and Evan! These guys are still fighting the witch disciples but Morgan Brice keeps it fresh by tossing in new twists. This time they get a lot of assistance from characters that have appeared in some of her other series but you don’t need to have read any of them to enjoy this one. I keep saying this when I review a Morgan Brice book and that is that you can jump into her series anywhere because she recaps the important information from earlier books in the series so that you never feel lost. I would suggest reading the first Witchbane book, though because it gives you a lot of background on Seth and Evan’s relationship.

This story hooked me from the very beginning and didn’t want to let go. There was a nice little surprise at the end and I loved it.

An advanced copy of this book was provided to me at my request; my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

We are back with Seth and Evan for another great addition to an amazing series. As the overall story arch carries on since book one, these books need to be read in order to understand them.

Seth and Evan's relationship is deeping further, it's great to see how they are talking about what their hopes and dreams are when the hunt is over and how they see themselves. These two have so great chemistry and their love is shining through all the time.

When Evan gets cursed, Seth really brings out the big guns to rescue him, regardless of the costs.
The story is fast path, the book is not long but there is a lot packed in and it's definitley one you don't want to put down.

I love the crossover from characters of the Deadly Curiosity series, you don't have to read them, but if you know them, it's great to see these guys as well.

I can’t believe that we are on book eight of this series by Morgan Brice. At this point the next dark witch knows that Seth and Evan are coming and has planned accordingly. He also has lots of money to hire people to help him as well as his coven. So it’s wash and repeat for our heroes as they have to convince another person that they are in danger and figure out how to help them. Luckily there are some cameos from characters from other books by Brice that come to help.
I could really see in this book how Brice is establishing how things are going to develop in this series as Seth and Evan gain more allies that they will be able to count on as the dark witches get harder to defeat. Also these two guys start talking about the future and what will they do after all the enemies are gone. The horizon is in sight although there is still more excitement to come.

The decision to have Vernon curse Evan directly rather than simply evade detection gives Cursed its clearest antagonist-driven momentum in several books: for once the warlock is shaping the confrontation rather than being hunted toward it. Brice uses Savannah’s specific geography and social architecture well, grounding Vernon’s cover in the kind of civic respectability that reads as locally plausible rather than generically menacing. The complication is that putting a killing curse on Evan as a tactical gambit also narrows the story’s investigative range; once that move is made, the plot’s trajectory is largely determined, and the ensemble work that Signs and Wonders used so effectively to generate surprise has less room to operate. Solid and propulsive, but the series’ ceiling is now visible in the rearview mirror.

Always an adventure when these two hit the road. Always excitement and daring escapades to enjoy. I’ve enjoyed this series very much, this author never disappoints. This story moved along quickly and there wasn’t too much waiting/anticipating or suspense which was kind of nice. They had their band of helpers which is, again, a comfortable revisit, and they had their battles but never left you hanging for too long, which in this story I appreciated. Get in, destroy the enemy and get out safely what’s not to like? The added surprise at the end was a bonus. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

Great adventure! Seth and Evan meet under extreme emotional circumstances. They are engaged on finding those responsible for murdering Seth's brother. They are on a mission to stop the seventh witch from killing any more innocents to further his greed. Evan and Seth, must fight through abundance of wealth, influence and evil intent. They are not alone because they have accumulated allies in the found family. Exciting story that keeps you engaged and emotionally fighting along with Seth and Evan. You just love when a great story comes together and answers questions. Great cover art, well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
