As I wrote the final lines of THAT MAN 5, tears filled my eyes. Saying good-bye to Blake Burns was like saying good-bye to that summer fling--that fun, passionate, short-lived but unforgettable love you know you'll never see again. As I write this, I miss that man terribly. I want to thank you, all my belles readers, for sharing THAT MAN with me. What a rollercoaster ride! I loved writing every word of this series (except the last two-THE END). It's been an honor and joy to share the story of Blake and his tiger with you. MWAH!
This is a juicy, fast-paced and totally enjoyable end to the series. If you love highly erotic, contemporary and funny stories, then this is the book for you. I loved all the scheming, the romance, the laughs and the tears and though that Blake and Jennifer got a beautiful HEA.
Nelle always injects a little real life into her stories and I for one adored the little extras at the end of this book. Plus she sure knows how to write some HAWT and sexy scenes! The author does not hold back in this installment and it was a great ending to a fabulously sexy and funny series. If you are looking for some escapist reading that will take you away for a few hours, then this is the book for you! Enjoy!

This book was amazing I m so happy that man blake burns is so good an his Mr burns is just as good that man is so hot an sexy God he does thinks 2 me this series is 1 on the best I've read I just can enough once u start them The books started so good an it was good all the way through I was dying 2 start it after the way the 4th book ended so much happen in the book I felt so sorry 4 Jen sometimes everything was just stacked against her thank god she had Blake if it wasn't Enid an Monica annoying her about the wedding an the horrible dress it was Bradley annoying then u have the bitch of all bitches Kat play in evil games an I have 2 say it is evil punch in the face would b 2 good 4 that girls 1 thing that was the same through out this series was that Jen an blake's sexy time was stream in hot they r so good 2gether This series is so good I 've enjoyed it so much I m gutted its over now :( but it's Bern a great ride xxx
I absolutely loved this final chapter in the series. There were some parts where I wanted to throat punch a certain character. And I loved what Jennifer did it was priceless. And there was a part where I was heartbroken and couldn't believe what happened and in the end it all worked out for the better and both Jennifer and Blake got what they deserved. I was not able to put the book down. I will definitely read the entire series again. This was a great way to end the series. I will forever love Blake and Jennifer.
That Man has struggled to be the best man for Jennifer.
That Man has messed up by hiding truths and trying to protect her in his own way - a way that doesn't mesh well with the type of person Jennifer is.
But through it all, That Man has learned what it means to truly put someone else before himself and to think with something other than his dick.
And Blake Burns can only get down on his knees and thank God that That Woman took his heart and refused to give it back regardless of the shitstorm he, his conquests, and someone else's vision of THEIR perfect wedding put her through.
I went into Book 5 anxiously anticipating Blake and Jen finally becoming That Couple, but also knowing that Nelle L'Amour was going to make them as well as her readers work for that title and BOY DID SHE. Whether it was unexpected accidents, catty bitches with their own agendas, or a mountain of miscommunication and a good dose of no backbone on both of their parts, there were numerous times while reading that I wanted to reach into the text and shake the shit out of Blake as well as be Jen's mouthpiece in order to tell a plethora of people where they could stick it. But alas, I couldn't dive into their fictional world, so I had to grin and bear the emotional rollercoaster and hope beyond hope that all of the drama would work itself out and Blake and Jen's dream life would come to fruition.
Thankfully, Nelle L'Amour gives That Man and That Woman exactly the sendoff readers have been waiting for despite the hell they had to go through to get there.
In the That Man series, Nelle L'Amour created a kickass hero who may have been a bit rough around the edges but that's exactly what makes Blake Burns That Man - plus, readers get the added bonus of seeing Mr. Burns come out to play on numerous occasions, which is always impressive in and of itself;)
Jennifer's the perfect partner for Blake; she's feisty, passionate, and driven, which are all assets she needs to have in order to keep up with the cocksure media mogul.
It's been an absolutely amazing journey witnessing Blake and Jen's love flourish after where they started in the series, and while I'm sad to see them ride off into the sunset, I'm just glad they got the HEA they deserved.

**** I was given an ARC of this copy for an honest review ****
I loved this epic conclusion! Nelle has done it again. That Man 5 was phenomenal!! She gets 5+ stars from me. It makes me sad that we are saying goodbye to our Tiger and Blakey, the characters we have grown to love. This riveting book will make you all hot and bothered, you are going to cry tears of Joy and sorrow, and laugh your a** off at good ol' granny! In this final installment there will be secrets revealed, deception, and some gut wrenching scenes. Blake and Jenn just want a HEA, and a wedding to show the people that they care about how much love they have for one another. But, they get a few curveballs thrown their way.... I really want to say more, but I won't. I want you ladies to get a first hand experience reading it. I adore this couple and I hope you ladies will enjoy it as much as I have. Nelle- Thank You for giving us such lovable characters, and giving me an escape every one in a while!
"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."
Brilliant ending to a great story. Crazy, over the top and wonderful to read. Finally, dramatically and properly, she got That Man. As always, Ms L'Amour gives the reader just what they want - although not exactly how they might expect it. The scenes which feature our favourite side characters are well deserved and some of the comedy moments are priceless. Enjoyed it all, thank you!
I'm writing a review for the whole series. I loved it, yes it's your typical bad boy who's a love 'em and leave 'em type who falls hard for the unassuming heroine but it exceeded my expectations.
To get this out of the way, the sex was really hot and exciting, the humor was also a plus since I didn't expect that. Both Jennifer and Blake have mysteries to them that explains the way they approach things.
There's friendship, family, trust issues, and awesome comebacks. I highly recommend having all the 5 books on-hand because books 1-4 have cliffhangers.
This was a nice conclusion to the relationship between the big boss Blake and the mystery kisser Jennifer. They have so much love for each other and were finally able to move past all those want to be wives and learn that trusting in their love is the way to go. In this book we continue to see the darn crazies try and take over the wedding of the century BUT Blakes mom gets a backbone and her character grows during this book. We are faced with a medical emergency and are left waiting to see whats going to happen to them. Just when I thought this series was finished there seems to be a hint of a 6th book coming.
So, the wedding of the century has finally come to fruition. Jen and Blake, OMG, these two are so, so in love. I laughed, I cried. I wanted to smash my kindle at one point but refrained. This series has put me and the characters through the emotional wringer but we've all safely came out the other end. I'm sooo sad, it's over.
This book started off on an high note and never came down. I'm not going to give away any spoilers because I want you to be surprised as surprised as I was.
In That Man 4, Blake and Jennifer got engaged and were planning their wedding. No, scratch that, Helen - Blake's mother - was planning their wedding, and they just went along with it. Now, as the day gets closer for them to become husband and wife, it seems the drama, problems and vindictive exes get worse.
Jennifer is not only trying to juggle work, Blake, her family, the wedding, her health, Krazy Kat (Blake's Ex) but now her lunatic ex fiancé keeps coming into her life, begging her to come back to him.
Blake, being extremely busy since getting more training to take over the company from his father, hardly has time for Jennifer. He realizes that and keeps promising that, once he gets it all together, he will have more time for her, as well as finally tell her "The Whole Truth" of what happened when he was younger. This had me intrigued and kept me guessing, yet I kept getting it wrong.
As I kept reading I could see how much Blake has changed since first meeting Jennifer, how deep and passionate his love for her is, and how he would do anything in his power to protect her from anyone. On the same note, Jennifer has allowed herself to trust and love again and now she can't imagine her life without Blake, and is so thankful she took that bet that got it all started. The love between these two is a type that many of us wish we had and it was unbelievably beautiful!
I'm sad to see that this is the last book about Blake and Jennifer but bravo, Ms. L'amour for such an Amazing Beautiful Love Story!! There is a lot covered in this book and many questions were answered, so I am satisfied, but if you want to write another book on them, I would be ready and willing to read it!!!
That Man had it all; love, drama, mystery, craziness, heartbreak, sweetness and lots and lots of scorching sex scenes which made me a hot mess, in a good way, of course. ~ Kara, 5 Shmexy Stars
Blake and Jennifer's love story concludes in That Man 5. Nelle L'Amour has crafted a sweet, crazy, and dynamic love story. One I won't soon forget, and this final installment is everything I have come to love combined with a few more surprises.
In That Man 4 had the cliffhanger of all wedding cliffhangers. We were left wondering if Blake and Jennifer were ever going to say I do. There were more than a couple of obstacles preventing a happily ever after. We jump right into That Man 5 where That Man 4 left off. Blake deeply concerned as to where Jennifer could be and afraid that someone else in the form of a crazy ex-lover has told her his secret before he had a chance to. Tragedy strikes in more ways than one and I can't help but feel sad for this couple. A wedding that clearly has taken a life of his own, Jennifer and Blake's love is tested to the brink until the very end. The only question remains will they finally be able to make their long awaited and deserved nuptials.
I never thought it would be possible but Blake has proven his unconditional love towards Jennifer. He has furthermore put her in front of his happiness. Nothing is more important to him than her. The growth he has experienced throughout the series is just amazing. Jennifer being his one and only from the moment they met.
It seems like forever since we met these two. They have had plenty of hurdles, but in the end, there are no two people that belong together more than they do. I enjoyed all their antics through the entire series. I loved the conclusion to the series, and although I'm sad to say good bye, I look forward to reading more from Nelle. Her stories have quickly become one I don't want to miss.
This review is bittersweet for me; I was lucky enough to be able to read and review an ARC of That Man 1 back in March and instantly fell in love with Blake and Jen, and with this newest release also comes the end of one my most favorite series.
When we first met Blake in TM1, he was nothing more than a horn dog who was all about DAT (dat ass tho), no matter who that ass belonged to. Who would have suspected that a sweet, innocent young woman from Idaho would be the one to bring Blake around and make an honest man out of him? That's not to say that this installment of the series didn't have drama, because it did, in more ways than one. The main issue from TM4 was handled pretty early in this book (and with extremely freakin' hilarious results), but the bigger concern was Jen's health issue. It was great to see how much Blake matured from the start of the series to the end because had her health issue happened any earlier in the series, I have a feeling that Blake wouldn't have stuck around. But Blake has definitely proved that the right woman can indeed make a man want to be a better man in order to keep her happy and in his life.
I loved how the epilogue gave us a glimpse into their future and how well everything worked out for Blake and his Tiger. This is one series that will definitely stay in my hoard of books...I mean my collection. Yeah, that's it; my collection...
There is drama all over the place as Blake and Jennifer's wedding date gets closer. Despite the fact that Blake and Jennifer are at a place in their relationship where their love and trust in one another is at an all time high, they are tested repeatedly by outside forces and those who do not want to see them married to one another. Even those who do love and support them are experiencing challenges as they try to make it to this extravagant event.
This book definitely helps the series go out with a bang. From the last installment, we knew that this wedding was going to be a challenge. Now we get to see what happens as the date approaches. There is a serious amount of chaos and drama involved in this last installment, but it was wonderful to see Blake and Jennifer coming together to fight the forces that would try to destroy their relationship. Drama and excitement galore. Those of you who have read the previous books in the series should cap it off with this. 3.5 stars.
This book should not be read as a stand-alone.

~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads Review Team~ Whew! Finally an end to all the drama! After reading part 4 I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out and I honestly didn’t know if I cared, I was so sick of the drama. However, all is good. This book redeemed the previous book and I was very happy at the end. I have always loved Blake and Jennifer; I just wish they would have both had stiffer spines at times when it came with dealing with things. This is a must read and a great ending to the series. Characters: The characters were well written and believable. Sex: yes Religious: it is brought up Would I recommend to others: yes More than one book in the series: yes Genre: Romance Would I read more by this author: yes ~Wicked Reads Review Team~
A perfect way to end a series. Wow, did this book take me through a roller coaster of emotions. Be prepared to cry, throw things and swoon over Blake once again. I loved the added letter at the end from Blake. It was a great touch of finality for me. I've loved that cocky man from the start, but he captured my heart completely at the end.
I can't begin to tell you how sad I am to see this series end. I think it's Nelle's best to date. I've read all of her books, but this series showed her growth and her humor. I love a book that can take me from laughter to tears in the same page. I'm not going to say much about the plot because it's so jam packed with twists and turns. Just when I thought I had figured it out, she took that turn and headed in another direction. Great job, Nelle at not giving the expected.
Great Finale and overall I love Jen and Blake. I'm going to miss Grandma too. Love this book and recommend this series to anyone who loves a cocky man and lots of laughter.
Their wedding plans in full throttle, this couple didn't get a respite from challenges from all corners.
Jennifer deserved the devotion of Blake. When someone from Blake's past tried to break them up, she chose to trust Blake time and time again. There was nothing more refreshing than seeing a girl look things from all angles instead of believing what other were feeding her. She had grown so much since the time she first met Blake. She was smart as ever, but stronger and more sure of herself. The way she dealt with the person causing problems for them was epic! I was mentally clapping my hands. Granted, there were parts, particularly the wedding, that was a little over the top. I was even considering that it was probably a dream sequence; but this was a light romantic comedy so I was okay with that.
If you're looking for an easy read that will make you laugh, swoon and fell randy, then this one is for you.
Another amazing read by Nelle! With each book she tops herself... This is a 5 star read! I'm very sad this is goodbye to Blake and Tiger... I hope Nelle finds a way to keep them in our lives.. This is a outstanding story! I recommend that you start reading at That Man 1 and finish at That Man 5.. You WONT be disappointed!! I was hooked from the very first story and have felt like I've been part of each book as I've read them.. I better end now, before I keep chatting and give stuff away... Go no and get books 1-4, 5 will be out on the 19th.... Happy Happy Reading!!!
What can I say, Nelle has done it again, what an amazing book.
Without given away too much, I had lots of laughs, tears and gasps in this book.
I was one of the lucky ones to be kindly given an ARC of That Man 5 and what can I say. I loved it. I felt that once you read it you know that it's the end, Nelle covered everything and as much as I would love more, there is no need for more, everything was covered and I loved how it ended. I sat down and read it none stop from start to end, without feeling the need to have a break.
Holy moly at every turn something comes up and threatens to stop this wedding. When the day finally arrives its a total disaster. The ex is a crazy bitch and the secret comes out. With all that has happened it wouldn't be a surprise if Jennifer hightails it out of L.A. and back to peaceful Boise. The sex was off the charts Hot as usual. The drama was out of control and the ending was Fantastic.
It was okay, way to rushed and short. It felt like the author just wanted it done and dusted so tried to skim over big events without going into much detail. As it is such a quick read it does not matter so much at least you get the end story of Blake and his tiger.
The finale to the Blake and Jennifer story, which left me with mixed feelings. Great humour from Nelle, as ever, but it all felt a bit chaotic and over the top, with Blake and Jen still not standing up for themselves and what they truly want. The drama of the wedding overshadowed their story and the HEA, which has been a long time coming. There were also some story arcs that weren't fully rounded off, so maybe those are being saved for some spin offs. The last few chapters saved it for me, a great epilogue - I'm glad I read books 4 & 5 but part of me feels it would have been best left at the original trilogy. Definitely be back to try more of Nelle's work though, this just didn't quite hit the mark for me. 3.25 stars.
Omg!!! I loved it and yes got the first one free and that's how you lure people to continue with the series I had a few of wtf moments but very good read for me thx and this is a new author for me thx again
Finally!!! A HEA that was much needed for Jen and Blake!! I loved this so very much! I loved the wedding and hope sweet Blake is! The growth in these 2 characters throughout the story was amazing! Fantastic series.
These books just keep getting better and better as they go on still love every character apart from Kat and her mother love the Epilogue and Blakes little last words always needing the last world lol can't wait to read the next book.
