상쾌한 공기 속 여유로운 전원생활을 꿈꾸며 귀농한 부모님을 따라 시골 학교로 전학 온 지우. 이삿짐을 나르며 동네 어르신들과 인사하던 중 바가지머리의 동찬을 마주치지만, 그는 인사 한마디 없이 사라져버린다. 다음 날, 첫 등교를 한 학교는 규모가 작고 학생 수도 적어 평화로운 느낌을 준다. 하지만 추진력 넘치는 같은 반 학생인 ‘혜지’로부터 영화감상부에 가입을 권유(협박) 받게 된다.

그녀에게 이끌려간 동아리실에서 이전에 스쳐 지나갔던 동찬과 재회하게 되고, 자신의 동아리 가입을 반대하는 그를 보며 여러 가지 호기심이 샘솟은 지우는 동아리 가입을 결정하는 등 정신없이 하루를 보내게 된다. 그러나 기분 좋은 첫날도 잠시, 하교 후 지우는 부모님이 정성껏 가꾼 꽃밭이 엉망이 된 모습을 발견한다. 누군가의 텃세일 거라 생각한 지우는 학교에서 자신에게만 유독 까칠했던 동찬을 의심하게 되는데….

This is one of the best manhwa I’ve read this year. The story is so wholesome! There is a trigger warning about grooming, but it’s delivered implicitly and handled carefully.

I really appreciate how the author makes sure the characters grow up first before introducing any sexual scenes — even before a kiss. That detail alone shows so much responsibility in storytelling.

I know Sunny was annoying as hell at first, but later on, I could see that he was struggling too. Still, he kind of deserved what happened because he was really mean to Dongchan.

The way the author addresses sexuality is incredibly thoughtful. I especially love how supportive and understanding their circle is — it feels realistic and comforting.
As for the art, it started off a bit rough, almost like it was inspired by an old manga style. But as the story progressed, you can see the artist improving their skills while still staying true to the original character designs. Honestly, I love both versions.

This came so highly recommended that maybe I came in expecting too much. As it was, I finished season 1, but won't keep reading. The characters are cute together and their chemistry is well-explored, but it's a reeeal slow burn. And for something that takes so long to bear fruit, it still seems to skip over some pretty important conversations/facts. It's pretty clear that Dongchan is gay/interested from the start, but Jiwoo isn't? I wouldn't have said he's into Dongchan as more than a friend at all, and had no reason to think he might be until they suddenly kiss and are maybe(?) dating after that?

Overall, maybe just not the story for me because clearly other people love it and think it's amazing, but I just got bored.

Loved the first half of this story so much, just the way the characters hold back and slowly learn to let go is really lovely to watch unfold. I’m a sucker for small town settings.
I couldn’t really get behind Sunny, sorry guys I know he got redeemed but when he was on screen causing a fuss it just got on my nerves. Also the ending was so melodramatic I couldn’t believe in it, I knew the main two would end up together just fine. Regardless, dongchan and jiwoos relationship really soared through
