The First Lady of the United States decides she wants a divorce from her older husband partly because she suspects he's involved in a crooked scheme. She has to go on the run with her young son, aided only by her Secret Service agent gone rogue and the young divorce lawyer she tried to hire. Arrayed against the four of them are all the resources of the United States government and a President who will stop at nothing to get her back, before the First Lady (or first son Randy) can reveal his intentions to the public.

David Owens is a not-very-successful divorce lawyer in Texas when he gets a new client - the First Lady of the United States. She wants a divorce. Her husband does not. Brandon's characters are interesting but his plot gets a little bogged down.

I really enjoyed this book! Great story - unexpected plot. Great characters and an ending I didn’t expect. I highly recommend it!

Moved along at a good pace but was very predictable, a bit hokey, and left a couple of seemingly important things unresolved.

A most interesting hypothethis. A First Lady wants to divorce husband, who is the Prez. How does one take the P of US to court, sue for custody of a child?
First book I've read by this author, I will read more.

Great book! I couldn't put it down. The premis of the story, the First Lady wanting to divorce the President, sounds interesting, but it's all the other stuff added into the story that really made it interesting. Who do you trust? Who's working for whom? Who's being manipulated?

Very, very good book. Easy read, good pace, great idea. Only reason I did not give it five stars was that there were details / aspects of the story which at times I found non-believable.

Nonetheless, it is a highly recommended read.

Actually, I'd give it 2.5 if I could. The courtroom and law-related scenes were very good, but there were certain plot points that were positively preposterous. Okay for a sci-fi novel, but not a legal thriller.

Enjoyable read, we'll written. Story line is a little far fetched.
